We took advantage of the long Presidents' Day weekend to get haircuts and updated sibling pictures! Twelve and three already - how quick it happens!

Valentine's Day treat!
Jonny got his hair cut this morning. It was past time! The first thing she did was give him a mullet. We had to pause for a laugh and a photo!
When Emma was 1, we took her to Dairy Queen for some ice cream on Valentine's Day. It has become a delicious annual tradition for us!

Dentist and snowmen
Both kids had a side by side dentist appointment today. Jonny had Batman glasses!
We were *supposed* to get a lot of snow today, but not even one flake. So, after dropping Emma off at school, we built our own marshmallow snowman!

New Year's Day
It is a beautiful New Year's Day today! We had some rain and therefore a nice rainbow when the sun came out.
We decided to take a walk/ride up to the local pond, and Jonathan had a duck call and was trying to call them in. Quack quack!

Happy New Year!
We stopped by the dollar store today to get some stuff for New Years. Jonathan picked out glow sticks, party horns and beads! The hat is from his birthday.
Emma is off at a friend's house and will do her best to stay up past midnight! Happy New Year!

Tournament day 1
First of all, I am so far behind on the blog obviously! But I have to start somewhere, so I'm going to try and work my way backwards to December.
Emma had a softball game at 7:15 tonight. It's the first day of an all-weekend tournament! She has 2 games tomorrow, and depending on how all of the teams do it will affect games on Sunday.
We went to a new location at a community college campus - the idea was to play under the lights. It had beautiful walking trails and playgrounds, which meant I was chasing Jonathan most of the time instead of getting to sit and watch the game!

Emma played first base, because the normal 1B was playing catcher since our starting catcher was starring in a school play!
There wasn't much defense as our star pitcher was getting a lot of strike outs. Fast forward to the 4th inning, and Emma came in to pitch. She didn't have a lot of notice, but she did great! She struck out two, gave up a walk (and that player scored), and the third out was a caught pop fly. Since we were ahead 12-2, the ump called it for the mercy rule and the game was over! It only lasted 1 hour so it wasn't even dark enough to play under the lights yet! We were all okay with that though, because that meant we got home at a decent time to rest, wash the uniforms and do it again tomorrow!
I got a video of Emma scoring from third base by stealing home!
