Pearls

This past weekend on our 1 year anniversary of our engagement Ly gave me this 20's style long pearl necklace (real pearls). It is gorgeous! I have been wanting one of these necklaces for a longtime and Lyle finally worked it out for me to get one.

Planting a Garden

Lyle's mom put Ly and I in charge of planting all the flower pots in her yard this spring. Ly and I went to the nursery and bought flowers and planted them this afternoon (I picked the flowers out, and Ly planted them). I will post pictures of our pots now and again after all the flowers bloom.

Kissy Lips

Today while I was playing around with my camera trying to learn it, I caught this funny thing Lyle does to me all the time on film. He will close his eyes and make silly kissy lips until I notice him and kiss him. Sometimes I am not quick to see him and so he taps me on the shoulder so I will look over. It is pretty funny. I married a goofy guy that is so stinkin' cute.

Pie

Today I made a Lemon Meringue Pie all by myself (pretty much). My mother-in-law, Sandy, taught me how to make a pie crust from scratch. It was by no means a beautiful crust, but it didn't tear too badly and it covered most the edges of the pie plate.

I had to call my mom several times to help me with the EXTREMELY simple recipe.
