seven!

Dahlia is now seven years old!  Time needs to slow down, the past seven years just flew by. We had a big party for her with all of the family and she loved having all of her cousins there.  Dahlia is doing so good right now health wise and is loving kindergarten.  I am hoping for a wonderful next year for our sweet seven year old.

two!

This little cutie turned two on the second of September.  Evelyn loves to tell us that she is a big girl now and not a baby.  She has such a funny little personality and is always making us laugh.  At two years old Evelyn loves watermelon, shoes, watching Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig, milk bottles and copying whatever his sisters are doing.

back to school

Dahlia started kindergarten this year!  It was really scary to send my fragile little girl off into the germ filled world of kindergarten, but so far she is loving school!  Before she started school we were able to sit down with her teacher and some of the school staff to come up with an individualized plan to accommodate her special needs. This helped ease my mind a lot!  Dahlia also rides the bus for children with special needs home and it drops her right off at the front door.

Laila is now in fourth grade and has the same teacher she had last year!

Ava is in sixth grade now.  Unfortunately her middle school still hasn't been rebuilt since the hurricane destroyed it!  She attends school in portable buildings which were placed at the jr. high campus

Aiden is now in high school with Dario.  They are even in some classes together!

I can't believe Dario is now in tenth grade!  He is happy to be back with all his basketball buddies again.

ellis family reunion

We just got back from the Ellis family reunion.  All most everyone was able to gather together in Surfside Beach, Texas.  We stayed in a beautiful beach house right on the water.  Two of my brothers live out of state and it was nice seeing them and their families again.  We spent most of the time relaxing on the beach, enjoying each others company.  At night, each family took a turn preparing a big delicious meal.  I loved seeing all the little cousins running around, playing together.  So many good memories were made and I was sad when the week came to an end.

21 months

It's hard to believe Evelyn will be turning 2 soon!  Recently Evelyn was sitting really close to the edge of my bed and I told her to be careful or she was going to fall and she said, "fall asleep?"  Haha!

most improved player

Aiden received the most improved player award at the jr. high athletics award ceremony.  He loves basketball and has worked really hard this year.  We are so proud of him!

We went to an earth day celebration and butterfly release. The beautiful gardens where the event was held had been closed since Hurricane Harvey.  The weather was perfect to relax and enjoy the gardens.  I love Saturdays like this!
