Baby Laila was born on October 29, 2008. We weren't expecting her to come so soon! We thought it would be another 2 weeks until she was born. She weighed 8 lbs. 9 ozs. I got to the hospital around noon and at 12:45 she was born. Once again my labor was so fast that I was unable to get an epidural. However, the pain was well worth it because she is such a sweet baby. We are happy that we were able to bring her home with us today and are excited to have her as a new addition to our family.

family art day

This past Saturday we went to family arts day at the art museum. The kids got to make lots of fun art projects including these silly Halloween costumes. In honour of Halloween there were creepy crawly things you could eat ( fried worms and fried crickets). Brian ate several and said they actually tasted sort of good. Aiden tried to eat a cricket, but got as far as the head and then decided that was enough!

caramel apples

Last night we made caramel apples with the kids, probably one of the messiest things to make with small children. When we were done there was caramel everywhere! The pumpkin was drawn by Aiden, he is excited for Halloween!

Ava and Aiden were being so cute when they were playing together, I just had to take a couple of pictures. As soon as I pulled out the camera Ava started making the funniest faces. In the top picture she is showing me her "princess smile".

back to normal

After a two week break from blogging I'm back. Life has returned back to normal since the hurricane. This past Monday Dario went back to school after a two week break. It almost felt like the first day of school all over again! The weather has been very mild almost fall like. The other day we took advantage of the nice weather and went outside to play and blow bubbles. I'm glad those hot summer days as well as hurricane season are almost over!
