On Monday we celebrated Grandma Ochoa's birthday at Brian's parents house. Brian and I realized that we didn't have one single picture of the kids with their great grandma, so we had to take a couple.

messy eaters
The warm weather has returned and so have the ants. There has been a steady stream of ants coming in though our back door looking for crumbs. There are a lot of crumbs at our house because every time the kids eat, half of their food ends up on the floor! It looks like I get to start sweeping the floor three times a day or more.

weekend trip
This past weekend Brian and I took a little vacation to Natchitoches, Louisiana. It is the oldest settlement in Louisiana , and the Cane river runs through the town. It is a national heritage area and really takes you back in time. We stayed at an old southern mansion that has been converted to a bed and breakfast. It was beautiful and the breakfasts were delicious! We were able to see lots historic sites, eat some good cajun food, and got to tour several old plantation homes. For those looking for a weekend getaway without the kids, I would highly recommend this neat little town.
