great grandmother

On Monday we celebrated Grandma Ochoa's birthday at Brian's parents house. Brian and I realized that we didn't have one single picture of the kids with their great grandma, so we had to take a couple.

messy eaters

The warm weather has returned and so have the ants. There has been a steady stream of ants coming in though our back door looking for crumbs. There are a lot of crumbs at our house because every time the kids eat, half of their food ends up on the floor! It looks like I get to start sweeping the floor three times a day or more.

learning to talk

Ava has surprised me at how well she's been learning to talk. Today she came up to me and said, "what you doing mama?" Also, when she sees a baby she'll say, "shh, quite! baby sleeping." I think she picked that up from being around her 4 month old cousin.

little artist

Dario is our little artist and loves to draw.

sponge bob

This is what he drew- Sponge Bob. Yesterday, I overheard my 17 month old baby singing part of the Sponge Bob theme song. It looks like my kids have been watching way to much Sponge Bob!

little angel

After having two very rowdy boys, it's nice to have a little girl who's as sweet as can be.

coon skin hat

While we were in Louisiana, we went to a very cool, old general store. We saw this hat and knew it would be perfect for Aiden, our little wild man!

weekend trip

This past weekend Brian and I took a little vacation to Natchitoches, Louisiana. It is the oldest settlement in Louisiana , and the Cane river runs through the town. It is a national heritage area and really takes you back in time. We stayed at an old southern mansion that has been converted to a bed and breakfast. It was beautiful and the breakfasts were delicious! We were able to see lots historic sites, eat some good cajun food, and got to tour several old plantation homes. For those looking for a weekend getaway without the kids, I would highly recommend this neat little town.
