Turned One!

My baby boy turned one on Saturday and I can't believe it. Where has time gone? I love watching him grow though, it is so fun seeing what their personalities turn into. We are learning that he has quite a little temper in him,  fiesty is a good word for it. He is kinda a bully with the other kids but he really just wants them to play hard with him. I love him more and more each day, even when he is testing my patience with getting into anything and everything including his new fav, the toilet water. I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us especially since it won't include Dad off to Iraq again, woo hoo!

December Happenings

I know we are in the middle of January already and I have yet to blog Christmas or anything from this past month while Jonathan was here. But I was well, pretty much loving my time with Jonathan and didn't make time to blog. I have way too many pictures to catch up on and decided to make some of my ghetto collages. I say ghetto cuz I have yet to commit myself to digital scrapbooking yet because I love the old school scrapbooking so much it consumes my scrapbook time I find for myself. We had such a fun Christmas this year with the Anderson family. We went to Utah and it was actually really fun to see all the snow. Jonathan had to return to germany last week ending our month long vacation. We got to spend five nights alone at a resort in Scottsdale before he left. Thanks to Mom, Lori and Leah for watching our little man. We missed him terribly but the time alone was amazing. We basically ate out every night, went to a movie everyday, and lounged around. We left two days early because I couldn't take it any longer being away from Jace. Hope you all had a wonderful December, I know mine took the cake though having the husband home after a long, hard year.

get all puffy and his face splotchy red.

 

Your eyes are not deceiving you, Jonathan is indeed wearing a gas mask while changing a serious poopy diaper. What a baby! He really does gag, it's hilarious.

Slowly Catching Up

Here are some of my favorite pictures Darby took for us when Jonathan got home. I had so many that I loved it was hard to just post a few. I am trying to catch up on posts. I still need to blog about our trip to Utah for Christmas and other random happenings since Jonathan has been home. We are lucky enough to have amazing family that will be watching Jace for us for a few nights while we get to go to a resort in Scottsdale. It will be so weird to be away from jace for longer than a few hours but Jon and I will much appreciate some alone time for sure. Poor Jace has not been feeling so well though and that makes me hesitant to leave him, but he is in good hands and hopefully won't be too much of a pill for them. We are going snowboarding tomorrow and then straight to the resort, wish me luck not to kill myself tomorrow.
