Forgiveness
So at Zach's school they have the color system, meaning, if you get a "green day" you had a good day at school. Yellow- one incident, red- more serious incident, black- straight to the principal. And let's be clear, Zach's teacher is pretty laid back. Anyway, Zach had 2 yellow days in a row and so he was grounded from any and all games until he got 5 straight green days again. Long story short he went to be babysat at my mom's house (who wasn't there). My brother and his wife were doing the watching. And when we came to pick up Zach, he was playing the Star Wars video game. Now, we had told him that he couldn't play any video games there so he knew what he was in for. We got him home and to bed without books or story telling. Lights out! Jake was maybe a bit short tempered with him but I left the room to put Brady to bed. I came back to check on Zach and he was staring , in the dark, at the wall. I bent over and looked him in the eyes and said, " what are you thinking about?" His response, " I am just trying to forgive my dad." It was so cute in his little 5 year old voice. He was really contemplating this too. He went on to say that dad had hurt his feelings, but at the end told me that qoute, " I forgive him." I went straight down and told Jake. Oh what we learn from small children everyday. They were sent to this earth much more prepared than I was! Precious.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUNNY BUNS~
I pulled it OFF! I threw a big surprise 30th birthday bash for Jake on Saturday. He had no idea which made it PERFECT. We had our closest friends and family here and cafe rio and pina coloda's! Yummy! There were no kids allowed which made it nice and sane :). I only invited the smartest people around because I have heard so many horror stories of people blowing surprise parties hours before the event! Haha, no really, it was just people closest to Jake. We played games, one which was called, "How well do you know Jake?" Hilarious what some people came up with. In the end, my dad and brother Nate, won that game. But there were some close seconds. I am trying to download the live footage of the surprise but haven't quite figured it out. Thanks to all those who helped pull it off! Here are some pics of the party!

Pedia Sure and Prevacid
So I took Brady in for a weight check and he was up to 22 lbs.! Very exciting. Meaning he gained 2 1/2 lbs. in 4 weeks. Yeah! We attribute it all to prevacid (for preventing acid reflux) and Pedia Sure( which I have been giving him 8 oz. a day, it's more fattening than whole milk). We are so grateful that he is on the up and up! I don't think he had the strength to walk before and now that he is feeling better, he is walking a bit. Nothing crazy, but he is getting more daring! Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers!

Zach
So I had to give the opening prayer in church today and Zachy was with me. Jake had to wait for Brady to wake up and so he didn't come until 20 after. Anyway, after I said the prayer I went and sat down and Zachy gave me 2 thumbs up, and said," Nice job mom." Then, there was a baby blessing after some ward business, and I guess Zachy could not see where there voice was coming from(Seeing that the men stand on the ground to give the blessing), because Zachy leaned into me and asked," Mom, is that Heavenly Father?" I tried not to burst out laughing, seeing that it was in the middle of the prayer, but I couldn't help but giggle. So cute. I love him. I love a child's innocence. It brings me joy!

JULY BD's
Zach's 5th birthday.
WE had a pirate party with a treasure hunt and all.
Some of his friends hadn't gotten here yet
hence they aren't in the pic!
So fun!
Then look at the 3 layer cake he got the next
day with his family.
Brady got a mini 2 layer cake for his first birthday.
He wasn't too sure about how to handle it!
Summer Lovin of 08'
So we have had some fun bbq's this summer. This was one with some kiddos. The firworks one is so cute, the girls are screaming and the boys look bored. We found Zach and his friend Sydney downstairs snuggling on the Love Sac. (that is not what we thought we were buying them for) :0 And the pic at the bottom is actually of Zach's cousins Ty and Hayes and his buddy Mason! SO fun. I love summer!

It's official
I have a kindergartner. Zachy started school today and I wasn't sad at all actually. Probably because I asked him the night before if he was nervous, and he looked and me and kinda mockingly said, "No mom". I am excited for him though, but sad for Brady. He likes having his big bro around. I actually thought to myself, "It's a little too quiet now, maybe it's time to try for number 3." But then I came down to reality :) No, maybe in the near future though, we'll see. Wink Wink!
