Elly and I took Emmy on Friday to a pottery shop.  I had an image in my head of what I wanted and of course it didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted.

But I'll still treasure it anyways.

 

My fabulous friend had the one for Elly made for me for El's second Christmas.  I loved it soooooooo much and I just knew I had to do the same for Emmy.  Can't wait to see what it looks like when I pick it up on Tuesday!

Christmas

We didn't have a too, too early morning.  Emmy had a rough night so I guess we did wake early but we went back to sleep.  Jon and I both woke around 7ish, Emmy around 7:20 and Elly around 7:40.  Not too shabby. 

On to the presents:

Infinity...she was super excited and played with it all day.

Emmy wasn't too impressed with the unwrapping of presents.  She was really overwhelmed.  When Jon showed her how to and made a growling noise she perked up. 

A new coffee cup and perfect timing since my other cup has a crack in it.  I love it and will use it alllll the time.  Thank you sister! 

Yankee fan in Ohio...there are a few.  He was happy!

Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend flew by, so incredibly busy...but I guess that's the hustle and bustle of Christmas season.  As I'm sitting typing this out, Emmy runs over and gives me a hug anddddd then runs back to playing.  Love that kid.

We are getting to the stage where Emmy's not sharing or Emmy screaming that she wants the red crayon that Elly has not the red crayon that she is holding.  Ya figure that one out.  Iy yi yi. 

We watched The Grinch the other night too and I put this hat on Em.  HA! 

She could totally be Emmy Lou Who, don't ya think?

As you can see Em wasn't impressed.  Elly sat right on and asked for a Wii U, video games and movies.  Long are the days of dollies and princess clothes.  Boo! 

A Still Sad Heart

Last year today, my family was sad.  My brother and sister in law lost their little girl, my heart still aches and I imagine it's nothing to how they feel.

Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving vacation started a little early this year, Tuesday night Elly did all the snow day rituals.

Sure enough a snow day happened. Lucky! But not for Mom...off to work I went.

But I was so excited to have 4 days off, I did a lot of snuggling!

We also got crafty!

El and Em had a snowball fight too!

We had a wonderful day, a lot to be thankful for this year for sure. I missed my west coast family a lot, holidays are always a little hard.

Emmy's Current Loves

21 months and finally starting to talk a wee bit more.

We currently are loving apples, how'd you know?

Guacamole and salsa...she LOVES it.

I know this is horrible.  I only gave in when my ears were ringing...

she only had a few sips. 

Weirdo.  Iced coffee with gingerbread and nf milk,

OMG good.

 I craved salsa and coffee while pregnant...and pie. 

I've never seen a toddler love coffee as much as I do...and no I don't give in much. 

She's petite enough.

The Never Ending Virus

We've had a couple of rough weeks over here with a stomach virus.  It even ran a course through all of us, poor El has had a bug three times now.  I did take her in just to be sure it wasn't something else but was told it's just a virus and to let it runs it's course...ugh!
