Last Day of school

Elle's last day school was today...tear. I can not believe she only has one more year until she is in Kindergarten. We absolutely loved her new school this year and her precious teachers.

Elle and her BFF Miles...they are trouble :)

Tiny Dancer

Elle really enjoyed ballet this year. They had their end of the year recital a couple weeks ago. How fun it was to watch her on stage. It brought back so many memories.

Mother's Day

I am so thankful for the family I have. I am thankful that Miles is my partner in parenting. He kept the kids while I had a day of pampering on Saturday. Then I spent Mothers Day with the ones I love most. I am so thankful the Lord chose me to be Elle and Beck's mommy. Being with them everyday definitely has its challenges but I would not want to be anywhere else.

Last soccer game

Elle had her last soccer game of the season. She has become quite the soccer player. Here she is with her trophy and coach Bob. She looks tough with the shiner!

ER visit 2- Elle this time

Elle had been looking forward to water day at school for days. It had finally arrived and she was so excited. She wore her bathing suit to school and was ready for the fun! I got a call half way through the morning that she had collided with another student and hurt her eye. I could hear her screaming in the background for me. I was nervous to see what I was walking into. When I got the the directors office, I was shocked at the size of the shiner Elle had. It took everything in me to not react. After icing it at home and resting, Miles and I decided she probably should have an xray on it to make sire everything was ok. He ended up at the ER so that she could get a CT scan to make sure there was no fracture and blood in her sinuses. All was clear! Her eye is still bruised!!

Easter

Easter was exciting this year. Elle really seemed to understand the true meaning of Easter and why it is so important to us. We made resurrection rolls to make it more real to her and she really liked taking part in making and eating them :) I think it is a new tradition. Of course the kids loved hunting eggs and getting goodies from the Easter bunny too.

1st ER visit for Beck

Beck: Right before we moved to our new house you had accident at the rental house. I was getting ready in my bathroom and you and Elle were playing in the master bedroom. I hear a loud thud and then screaming. I ran into the room and you were on the floor, gushing blood from your mouth. You had been playing on the elliptical machine and fell off. UGH! Elle was frantic and so worried about you. Once I looked at your lip closely, I saw that you bit clear through it. Long story short, we took you to the ER and you had to get three stitches. It was such a horrible process.  But you are good as new now. I am sure this wont be the last visit to the ER with you wild man.

17 Months

Oh brother bear I am slacking in blogging about your life. I'm sorry sweet boy! You just keep me so busy that I don't have time to sit down and write. But I make notes of things I want to remember so hopefully you can look back one day and good idea of what you were like. You are such a sweetie and love people. You say "hi" and "bye" to anyone you come across. And you don't stop saying it until they acknowledge you. You have the sweetest voice but we don't hear many words come out quite yet. You are very loud none the less :) The ones you say consistently are hi, bye, momma, daddy, ball, nigh nigh, wah wah, apple, baby, Elle, and dog. You moo, bark, growl, and make monkey noises. You sing "ei-ei" for Old McDonald Had a Farm and "row row" for Row Row Row Your Boat. Apple is your word for any kind of food and what you say when you are hungry. Funny boy! You still worship your sister. Though you do push her buttons :) The more she tells you no, the more you do it. But she makes you laugh harder than anyone else and your favorite place is by her side. You love to stack blocks and vroom around the house with hour trucks. Your getting more into choo choo's so I think it is time to get you some trains to play with. You like to hug and kiss Elle's baby dolls and you hug all stuffed animals. Books are a huge favorite of yours. You bring me books all day to read to you. A potty training book and any animal book are your favorite. You also like dinosaur books. You are quite the little athlete already. You can hit a golf ball so well and are a pro at hitting a baseball off of daddies old tee. He is so proud! He will say "two hands" to you and you grab a bat or golf club and swing it. You still cuddle me on the couch when you are sleepy or watching a show. Lately you have been reaching for me when I put you in your crib and want me to rock you. Oh you have my heart!!
It never fails that you fall asleep in the car. You are so used to being busy with Elle's schedule that you just take naps when you can get them :)
We are so in love with you Beck. You are our little mascot at home and make all of us laugh. You definitely complete our family.

Oh sweet boy! You are changing so much. You are a toot toot toot but oh so much fun. You have brought a whole new meaning to busy to our house! We thought your sister was busy, boy were we mistaken. You don't sit still unless there is a show on that you are interested in. This is quite nice since sister didn't even see a show until she was 2. Mommy has been pretty easy breezy with you. I love the down time I have to get things done or shower while you are enjoying a show :)
You are on the go and run everywhere. Because of this you have lots of boo boos but that doesn't stop you. Elle loves that you are so active and takes advantage by enlisting you to do crazy things with her on the play ground and at home. You are always game. You love the big slides and to be on the "big kid" playground. I try to keep you on the safer, small play ground but you won't have it.
You have started throwing fits if you dont get your way. Stinker! You're really easy to redirect, thank goodness, but I'm getting a glimpse into your personality. I think you are going to be strong willed like sister!
You still love milk from a bottle. I have tried a sippy so many times and you just throw it on the floor. Its starting to drive me crazy so I hope this doesnt last much longer.
You're paci is the top of a bottle. Hilarious!! My friends think this is a riot. You have to have two at a time in your crib when your sleeping. One in your mouth, one in your hand.
You are so so sweet and give kisses on command. I love those kisses. You have also started running up and hugging my legs. So precious. You melt my heart.
You love love love books. You are especially fond of animal books. You make the sounds of the cow and dog the most.
Speaking of sounds you are talking a little more. You say mama, da ( you're name for daddy), O ( for Elle), dog, cow, boon (moon), wa (water), hi, ball, baoon ( balloon), out (when you want to go outside), nigh nigh
You're favorite foods are cereal bars, bananas, blueberries, apple sauce, avocado, tomatoes and noodles. You also love to eat a whole apple.
