Been a while...

I am so behind on blogging! We have had a lot going on the past month or so. Gigi and Pa were here from Alaska. The plan was for them to spend Thanksgiving with us and then head to Amarillo for Emery's arrival. Emery had a plan of her own and decided to come a week and a half early. I got a call from Bonnie the Nov 23rd around 8:30. Her water had broke at school and she and Dave were heading to check in a the hospital. We had to laugh that only Bonnie's water would break while in public :) That is just the way things happen for her!
I booked a flight for that afternoon and E and I hopped on a plane. Elle did great! We were in Amarillo an hour later. David's cousin picked us up at the airport and gave me the report that Bonnie had started pushing! I was so worried I would not make it, especially since mom and Rich were not able be there either. They had been in Chicago and were not landing for a couple more hours in Amarillo. Michael (Dave's cousin) got us to the hospital in record time and I literally jumped out of the car and ran into the hospital. Yes, I left my daughter with a complete stranger...telling him to find my dad and hand her off to him :) It all made sense at the time!
I literally sprinted down the hallways trying to find Bonnie's room. I saw dad, Marsha and some of Dave's family standing outside a door. I said a very quick hello and flew into the door to find Bonnie still pushing. Phew! I had made it. I made quite the entrance and Bonnie's OBGYN looked at me like a crazy person. Bonnie quickly told him I was her sister.
Emery Jane Williams was born a little over an hour later. She is such a beauty and I feel so honored to have witnessed her coming into this world. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget. I feel she and I have a bond now and that I most definitely am going to be her favorite :) Totally kidding Susan!!

Here are some pics her daddy took of her. He is so talented and what a beautiful little model he had to work with.

Beautiful girl!

To precious for words!

Elle and I stayed at the hospital until about 10:00. Very late for my little one! Mom had made it in by this time and we all went back to Bonnie's house and let the new family have some time together. Rich's plane was landing at 10:30 so they dropped E and I off and went to get Rich. By the time they got back, we were asleep and I looked forward to a good nights rest! WRONG! E woke up at 4 am vomiting in Emery's brand new crib! I was so upset first because Elle has never thrown up and second because I thought Emery's bedding was ruined! It was not pretty. I woke up mom to get some help and she managed to get the sheets in the washer. I gave E a bath and put her back to bed.
She luckily did not do it again but I was so worried she w
ould get Emery or Bonnie sick that I booked a flight the next afternoon. We were supposed to stay a couple days. I wasn't able to see my sweet niece again so I can not wait to see them Christmas in Abilene! I want to hold and love on her as much as possible!Mom and Rich stayed in Amarillo for a couple of weeks and then headed to Abilene to see my sister Susan and her family. They made it to Dallas on Sunday the 12th. We were so excited to see them. We had so much fun just hanging out and enjoying time with eachother. Mom went on a play date with us to see the trains at Northpark. We met up with Candace and Elle's bff, Miles. I was so glad mom got to meet our sweet friends. The kids loved the trains! It was a hit!
We also had some of moms friends over for dinner and their sweet little boy Daniel. He and Elle hit it off but Elle went to bed early that night since she did not nap well at MDO. We had a wonderful dinner thanks to Rich and played with sweet Daniel. He is such a lover and my new friend :) We had a great time!
The last nigh
t they were here we exchanged gifts. Elle got her first Christmas gift and it was such a hit! Mom and Rich got her a play kitchen. She loved it from the moment she saw it and has been "cooking" ever since!

The moment Elle had been waiting for! Thank you Gigi and Pa!

We were sad to see them leave on Friday but we so enjoyed our time together!
Since then Elle and I have been a little under the weather so we have been pretty lazy. we have made a batch of home made chocolate chip cookies and decorated a g
inger bread house. Lots of talk of Santa (E says ho ho ho!) and when exiting the doctors office yesterday she was yelling "Mewiiiiiii Cwismas!"
Sunday, Suanne was sweet enough to take Evelyn, Madison and I to see the Rockettes at Nokia Theatre. What a great show it was! I got the itch to dance again and think
I might sign up for an adult ballet class on Tuesdays (when E is at school!)
We go to Mile's parents house tomorrow night to exchange gifts with them. We are looking forward to a yummy dinner of tamales and fun times with the Durham's. Then we head to Abilene Christmas Eve to spend the weekend at my dad's house. Can't wait to s
ee dad, Marsha, Bonnie and her family and Susan and her family! Lots to be thankful for this Christmas!
