4 and a half

Our sweet Savannah reached another half year milestone, and I'm sure she will correct you if you ask if she is 4 years old.

You are enjoying going to school 3 days a week. You have already learned so much in the first 2 months. You know all your letters, can spell and write your name, recognizing letter sounds and associated words. You are in a class with 6 other sweet girls. You are getting more independent in many areas. You enjoy cutting and glueing little pieces of paper and creating notes and cards for your friends and family. You love to sing and make up your own songs. You've done very well remembering the words to all the new songs you learn at school and we love to hear you sing them to us. You have a better understanding of sharing and taking turns and are usually pretty patient with your sister, unless she has taken something of yours that you want.

Pumpkin Patch

Ok, Katie, this point is on your request...

Saturday we took the girls to Old Baker Farm out in Harpersville. We had not been to this Pumpkin Patch since Savannah's first year, so it was fun to go back. I think we timed it just right getting there mid afternoon. SB got a nap in the car and we were ready to go. It looked like the masses of people were leaving about the time we got there, so it was very enjoyable. It was a beautiful day and the late afternoon light was great for pictures. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day.

LOVE, LOVE, THIS ONE!

How big is your pumpkin going to be Savannah?

A Getaway

Jonathan and I were fortunate to be able to take a nice New England Cruise getaway this past week. It was a week of needed rest, no obligations, eating too much, walking, and my favorite...photographic inspiration. I will share with you real quick, one of my favorite scenes from our journeys. This is a little fishing village of St. Martins about an hour outside of Saint, John, New Brunswick, Canada. I took a TON of pictures here, but I thought this panoramic shot was neat because it is actually 6 pictures I blended into one with Photoshop.
