I thought I would post some of my favorite shots from Christmas. I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I usually do on Christmas and I think we only got a little bit of video coverage. We spent Christmas Eve night at my parents house in Birmingham and Santa paid his visit there. After going to bed, Savannah was a little distraught that she had left her reindeer food at home and didn't get to put it out. She had been telling me for several weeks that she didn't want those reindeer coming and waking her up. She also wanted to make sure the fire was put out in the fireplace, so Santa could come in safely. It was fun seeing how much Savannah caught on to the Santa tradition this year. Yet, she still didn't want to have anything to do with sitting in his lap again this year. Savannah I thought was getting over a cold that she had, but ended up running fever from Wed evening through Sat morning. She was given Tylenol and Motrin on a regular basis to bring the fever down and help her enjoy Christmas.
These were taken Christmas Eve in front of my Mom's tree

Santa found a great deal ($5 at a garage sale) on a Cinderella vanity with accessories that Savannah loved!
The one thing that Savannah requested that Santa needed to bring her. Another $5 deal for Santa.
My Dad actually requested a family picture this year!! Couldn't tell you the last time that happened!
The girls had matching sweaters with which Jonathan and I were coordinated. I was a little upset we didn't get a single picture of the 4 of us! After Savannah decided to try on her new Tinkerbell pajamas she wouldn't change out of them till bed.

9 Months
Where has my little baby girl gone! You are 9 months old and changing so much.
This past month you...
--Started your 8th month out crawling. You scooted around for a few days before finally getting your arms into action. Once you had your arms moving there was no stopping you.
--About a week after starting to crawl you were pulling up on EVERYTHING!
--Have been very curious.
--Have a spunky personality.
--Still have your copper colored hair and it is getting thicker.
--Are starting to look more like your Daddy.
--Are starting to mimic sounds. Savannah has taught you how to growl.
--You seem to have said, "Bye", "Mama", "Da"
--Love playing with toys, especially anything that Savannah is playing with.
--Would sit and play with toys in a basket forever.
--Get excited about taking a bath, especially since you graduated from your blue tub to the big tub with Savannah.
--Get to sit in the car shopping buggy at Publix next to Savannah now. It is the cutest thing when you steer the wheel.
--Have your two bottom front teeth. Top teeth don't look like they are far behind.
--Love eating solids. You've tried pretty much every fruit and vegetable in baby food jar form. You can pick foods up with your fingers and put them in your mouth. I've given you Cheerios, sliced cheese, green bean bites, bites of chicken, banana, bread; and your new favorite pizza crust!
--Nurse 4-5 times a day and have formula before going to bed.
--With the advent of your first tooth your sleeping pattern got out of whack. We were having to get up and put a pacifier in your mouth to soothe back to sleep and then that wasn't working and you just wanted to be held which we ended up with you in our bed. At the end of your 8th month we finally started letting you cry yourself back to sleep at night and you seem to be sleeping much better. Still no regularity with your naps!
--Got to spend extra time with the grandparents with all the back and forth we've done to Birmingham looking for our new house.
--Usually ride pretty well in the car, and one of the few times you willingly take a nap.
--Wore size 3 diapers. 6 month clothes, 3-6 month and some 6-12.
At your 9 month check up you weighed 17 lbs. 1 oz (25%) and were 27.75 in. (50%)
The sun finally came out today (12/14) so I was able to get a few 9 month portrait shots of you. The first one melts my heart!

A Glimpse of Winter
This past Saturday I was in Birmingham and we woke up to a beautiful light snow covered winter scene. It was enough to see for a while but not cause any road hazards. By the time I made it outside or thought about taking a picture it had started to melt a little. Sorry I don't have any pictures of cute kids playing in the snow, but I did grab these detail shots.
