These pictures are specially taken and posted for a certain Grandmother that has been having blog withdrawals. I'm sorry to have neglected this blog for so long. ;)

Santa Was Here

No tears this Year!
I took the girls to see Santa today at the Mall. Savannah is such a big girl now and is over her fear of sitting in Santa's lap. We made sure to take the letter that she wrote herself to read to Santa. FYI...if you go to see Santa right after the mall opens during the middle of the week, there is NO line and you don't get rushed through! Sarah Beth usually doesn't meet a stranger. She didn't quite know what to think about sitting in the lap of a big old guy, with a hairy beard. She just kept looking up at him like who are you?
Of course Savannah knows this is one of the few times a year that she gets to ride the carousel, so we couldn't miss out on that. She was a little disappointed she chose a horse that didn't go up and down. Sarah Beth got one and had a ball riding.

Letter To Santa
Savannah has had the same list of a few items for a while now that she has been wanting to get for Christmas. So, I thought this year she was old enough to write a letter to Santa. I have not spent a lot of time working on her letters because she has not shown interest when I ask her to work on them. She has picked up and learned a great deal at preschool in the last few months. Last night she wrote our her list. I spelled the words and wrote the letters on a different paper, and then she wrote her own version. Other than a little help with "s" and "e" she formed all her letters. Of course the teacher in me made sure she formated her letter correctly. :)

Dear Santa,
I would like a pillow pet and Toy Story 3 movie and Beauty and the Beast Movie.
Love,
Savannah
It is a good thing Santa has already found some deals and has those items covered.
This could have been dangerous letting her look through this catalog. We almost ended up with a huge Barbie house on the list.

Happy Halloween
I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. Both of the girls enjoyed getting to dress up and get candy this year. They definitely ended up with more candy than we've ever gotten, and we didn't actually go "Trick or Treating". We enjoyed the Noble's annual Fall party with friends from church, the Fall Festival at Savannah's preschool, and a trunk or treat party with some friends from Mom's church. I really didn't put much thought into the girl's costumes this year, but the girls were excited about them. Little Bo Peep and her sheep. The sheep was handed down to us and all Savannah needed was a staff.

4 and a half
Our sweet Savannah reached another half year milestone, and I'm sure she will correct you if you ask if she is 4 years old.
You are enjoying going to school 3 days a week. You have already learned so much in the first 2 months. You know all your letters, can spell and write your name, recognizing letter sounds and associated words. You are in a class with 6 other sweet girls. You are getting more independent in many areas. You enjoy cutting and glueing little pieces of paper and creating notes and cards for your friends and family. You love to sing and make up your own songs. You've done very well remembering the words to all the new songs you learn at school and we love to hear you sing them to us. You have a better understanding of sharing and taking turns and are usually pretty patient with your sister, unless she has taken something of yours that you want.
