Going bald (for a good cause!)

Daddy volunteered to shave his head to raise money for cancer research. 

Who better to do the shaving than a bald guy?!?

 Hopefully this isn't a glimpse of our future!

 The best part was Eli showing up bald too ... in solidarity with his Daddy!

 It got a little bit scary there for a while ...

 ... but Eli helped keep Daddy brave!

Best part? It's Daddy's turn to give him a bath tonight!

Really BIG Stuff!

Tonight marks one whole week in the BIG BED!

 Eli helped us put his new bed together. And by helped I mean rolled around with sharp tools ...

 Actually, he was (and still is) really into "making his bed." Strange.
He does NOT get that from Mommy.

 As it was 100% all from Ikea, THIS was the ONLY thing that made Daddy smile about the experience:

 But all in all (so far ... ) a TOTAL success! Yay, Eli!

Like he told Uncle Megan on FaceTime: "My bedroom is pretty sweet!" Seriously!

Happy Valentine's Day (ish!)!

Eli's awesome teacher, Miss Mo, planned a super Valentine's Day pajama party!

 They made cute bumble bee Valentine's Day boxes, and Eli got lots of Valentines ...

 In a cruel move, all the candy was sent home!

 Miss Mo even ordered vegan cookies ... and sent those home, too!

 Eli got a totally crazy sugar buzz and tried to eat a crayon! Oops!

Of course he had to spend a little time with his best pals on Yo Gabba Gabba ...

 But he really fell in love with his new puppy dog, Bill, from his Grandma Deb!

 DotDot, Eli and Bill ... all dressed up in their Valentine's Day outfits (oh, that smile!)!

As further proof of our coffee addiction, Eli has taken to making something he calls Music Coffee:

Finally!

Stomach flu + awake since 2am + well-timed free NetFlix + Yo Gaba Gaba = 

Eli FINALLY watched some TV! Woo, hoo!

 Seriously,  he felt so bad he couldn't even do "the face"!

Unfortunately, it was short lived ... Eli was feeling better by that afternoon and the lure of Yo Gaba Gaba was gone. For Eli. I'm still watching. That is some crazy sh*t!

Weekend Fun!

What to do on a rainy Saturday in January? Go bowling, of course!

 Eli was totally into the rental shoes. Daddy, not so much ...

 We had a lot of fun bowling balls to choose from ...

 Daddy tried to show Eli some good bowling form ...

 ... but unfortunately Eli doesn't take after his Grampa Ed and the ball got stuck! Oops!

 After that we got out the ramp and Eli did great!

 So great, in fact, that at one point he was beating his daddy! Ha! Ha!

And then that night something magical happened: SNOW! So of course we had to go sledding ...

 Eli thought the sledding was fun, but I think he was more excited to have the playground all to himself!

 He even went down the big, big, big slide all by himself!

 What a great weekend!
