Where did the weekend go?

Wow, that flew by fast, I can't believe it's time for another h{ippity} hop!  I have a few cards to share today - the first one was based on this week's Unscripted Sketches challenge.  I used  5 different paper manufacturers on this card: Jeni Bowlin, Basic Grey, Fancy Pants, Making Memories and My Minds Eye.  Stamps are from the "Now and Always set as well as the "Just Wanted to Say" set.  The ribbon came off a birthday present for my daughter's boyfriend.

This next card was based on my sketch at Buffalo Stamps and Stuff for this week.  Papers are from Fancy Pants Designs.  I did a delicate background on the label with the scroll from the "Now and Always" set, and used the leaves from that set as well.  Once again , I used a sentiment from the "Just Wanted to Say" set - and I still haven't gotten bored with my new Sizzix rose die :)

Your next stop is Sarah's blog!  And, as always, the entire amazing inspiring list of bloggers is on the ippity bog!  Thanks for stopping by and thanks for all your wonderful sweet comments, they really make my Monday brighter!

Same Sketch, different card

Good morning everyone, welcome to Friday!  Looking forward to another great FWF, a fantastic weekend and the promise of some cooler weather!  The first card I have to share today is based on the same sketch as yesterday's card, but a totally different look.  I used scraps of Jenni Bowlin, the "Faith Blooms" kit and the oh so wonderful "Just Wanted to Say" set.  A hand doodled border around the image, a snippet of ribbon and those adorable tiny staples finish it off.

The second card is a super simple CAS card made for this week's Castastic challenge, which called for a Kraft-y Kreation.    So - I wanted to see if my new sizzix Rose die would cut felt.  It did.  that made me happy:  Sentiment from the "Just wanted to Say" set.  again.  Cause they fit on tiny tags so nicely.

After a beautiful, sunny weekend in the 70's I woke up this morning to grey skies and the threat of rain..but it's still warm!!! Spring is definitely here in Northern Jersey, my first crocus bloomed yesterday!! But enough weather talk, you're here for the {ippity} hop! I have several projects to share today, first an all occasion card using the "what matters most" set with a sentiment from the "Just wanted to say" set. Sparkle was added with Spica pens:

Next, a CAS card using the scroll image from the "Regal Greetings" Set:

and finally, a double page, 8x8 spread for an "everyDay Matters" book I'm putting together, using the "Love in Return" Set:

HOPpy MoNdaY!!!

Hi everyone welcome to the weekly H{ippity}Hop! This week, I've been working on an upcoming class, focused on creating backgrounds - in other words, no patterned paper, just plain old cardstock. First off I used the "Moonbeam and Heartstrings" set to create these 2 cards.

I used my favorite sentiment from "Regal Greetings" on this card:

Hard to tell in the picture, but this final card's background is a layering of different inks, stamps, perfect pearls and a Krylon silver leafing pen. The sentiment is from the oh so versatile (and often used!) "Just Wanted to Say" set:
Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate your visit. Have a wonderful week! The complete blog listing for the hop is on the {ipppity} blog and your next stop is Stephanie's blog!

Make it masculine

This week the {ippity} challenge over at splitcoast is to make a masculine card. Well, technically it's supposed to be a "boy" card, but all the boys around here are shaving already. I based my card on this weeks sketch (#47) at 2 Sketches 4 you and added my personal favorite challenge - no patterned paper. The background cardstock was embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder, sanded then inked with distress ink. The craft cardstock was inked with distress inks to give it a burnt edge look. I added some aged twill and stamped images from the {ippity} sets "Where You Should Be" , Just Wanted To Say" and the background stamp from "Love in Return"

Thanks so much for stopping by and for all the wonderful comments, they really brighten my day! Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone!

Happy H{ippity} Hop Monday!!!

Good Morning everyone, hope you all had a wonderful weekend! The sun is shinning here in Jersey this morning, the snow is melting, it smells like spring...and I've officially sighted my first robin! I've had a pretty productive couple of days and have a few more cards to share with you. This first one was done for last week's {ippity} challenge, to use one of the splitcoast sketches. I used SC268 and the "what Matter's Most" set to come up with this card:

Next is a card I made using this week's SFYTT over at I heart 2 stamp. I used the "Love in return" set and the sentiment from "Music of my Heart" Paper is from SEI, love this little polka dots!

Finally, this card was based on the Friday Sketcher's challenge #91. Background PP is Basic Grey, stamps are from the "What Matters Most" and "Just Wanted To Say" sets. The card is glitzed up with some gold border stickers and loose glitter:

Thanks for stopping by and here's the link to my stamp{ippity} site, just in case you wanted to get a closer look at the stamp sets :)

Sunday Sketch at 365 cards

Today I'm sharing a card based on this weeks sketch at 365 cards. If your not familiar with this challenge blog, please take a peak, I'm sure you'll love it there - with a new challenge posted everyday, inspiration abounds! For this card, I used some My Mind's Eye papers from the new Quite Contrary line. The card blank is stamped with a SU! background stamp and the sentiment is from the {ippity} set, Just Wanted to Say. The ribbon is from some last bits of scraps that I have been hoarding for years, for some reason I just love it and am sad that it's almost gone. Thanks for visiting, I'm glad you stopped by! I'd appreciate it if you would take a second or two and click on the follow button in the column on the right... see you soon!

Another h{ippity} hop!

Welcome to this week's h{ippity}hop, brought to you from sunny California! My apologies for the lateness of the post...I forgot all about the time zone change! Well, I got a few cards done in my hotel room the other night that I thought I'd share with you. The first one is a shabby little card made with Bo Bunny papers and stamps from the "Because of You" set from {ippity} (available here).

The next one is made with some SEI papers from the new Jocelyn line, and the "Just Wanted to Say" kit. A super simple card accented with just a bit of twine and buttons. I only brought one tiny little bag of supplies to play with so I'm a bit limited in what I can make, LOL.

Don't forget to check out all the other stops on the blog hop today. The links are posted on the {ippity} blog!

MojoMonday Sketch #121

Hello again everyone, another post from me on this dreary Sunday..I'm just cranking the cards out this weekend! Here's a card based on this week's Mojo Monday Sketch # 121. I had so much fun working with this sketch, it really inspired me! I used some Graphic 45 paper for the background, a bit of lace backed with some scallop cardstock and a vase from a Quickutz die. The stamps I used are from the "Just Wanted to Say" and "Kissmas and Mistletoe" sets. I stamped the mistletoe bunch upside down and placed it behind the vase: a bit of distress stickles finished the image off - This is definitely my favorite card from this weekend!

See you all tomorrow!

Some cards for the 365 challenge

Happy Sunday everyone, we're having a dreary, dark, rainy day here in Jersey - just the perfect kind of day to putter around in the scrap room! Today I'm going to share some cards I created for this week's 365 Cards challenges.

For day 316, there was a sketch challenge. I kept this one really simple and pretty much true to sketch. the sentiment and frame are from the "Just Wanted To Say" kit from {ippity} stamps and the paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Ever After collection:

The next card is for the day 318 challenge which was simply to put a house in your card. Of course I reached for the "Simply Home" kit, which is one of my favorites and came up with a simple card on a craft cardstock base. I think the stitching is what really finishes this card off.

Finally, the third challenge I did was day 321: In stitches, but more specifically, the challenge was to sew on an image to create texture. This time I used the "Because of You' kit and some My Mind's Eye patterned paper. I did a bit of layering with the scroll flower and accented the center of the flower with a grid of french knots.

Don't forget, tomorrow is Monday and that means another {ippity} blog hop! Make sure you come around to visit - I've finally put picture to paper and have a layout to share with you. I want to thank everyone for the comments they have been leaving, they really make my day...see you soon!

H{ippity} Hop Blog Hop 1/11/2010 : 1 stamp, 2 looks

Happy Monday morning and welcome to another H{ippity} Hop Blog Hop to start the week off! This week I decided to play with the tree from the Simply Home set, and created 2 cards based on the same sketch, CPS 149 from Card Positioning Systems. My goal was to get a totally different look using the same basic design. For the first card I decided to go monochromatic (which to me almost always means green...) I used a quickie glue pen and some loose glitter on the tree and added a sentiment from the "Just Wanted to Say" kit.

For the second card, I did a bit of simple masking and added the cow and the sheep from the "Simply Home" kit. A bit of speckles and some inking gave this card a totally different feel.

Thanks for stopping by, I love having visitors and your comments make my day so much brighter! Make sure you check out the other ladies sharing their {ippity} awesomeness: you'll find the full listing of blogs participating in the blog hop on the {ippity} blog, right here!

H{ippity} Hop Blog Hop 1/4/2010

Hello again everyone, Happy Monday- It's time for another H{ippity} Hop Blog Hop!!! This week I used the Becky Fleck sketch featured on Caardvarks for my inspiration. The minute I saw the sketch I thought of the cute mushrooms in the "Because of you" kit. I used to collect mushroom stuff when I was a little girl, and I also had quite an extensive stamp (the lick and stick kind) collection, so I've been excited to use these adorable stamps! The Cosmo Cricket Earth Love paper was perfect for this card. I embossed the mushrooms and sentiment with Adirondack powders in Moss (my all time favorite embossing powder ever!) and espresso, then inked and detailed with a white signo pen. I used an EK success border punch for the strips and then stitched with waxed linen thread. I added a bit of bling by adhering a thin strip of redline tape to the bottom of the card and covering it with loose glitter. Thanks so much for stopping by, I love having visitors and your comments just make my day! If you just happened on this post, then please stop by the Ippity Blog for the links to all the blogs participating this week!

Love a good challenge!

This week's ippity challenge is to "resolve" to try something new. The rules said try ANYTHING...just so it is NEW to YOU. NEW paper, NEW stamps, NEW technique, NEW ANYTHING..Well fun! I "new" exactly what I wanted to use, but decided if I had to be all new, I was going to make it at least look old... So I pulled out the new embossing frame folder that Sharon gave me, (been wanting to try it!) Pulled out this pretty piece of paper I just got and proceeded to tear it up, Grabbed one of my new {ippity} stamps (aren't those birdies cute?) and finally, after much searching, I found the jar of sticky embossing powder that I bought ages ago and never used, added some glitter and had me a new technique also! (Now wouldn't it have been cool if I had some of the new distress ink colors to use on this card?)
