Well I am sorry about the wait because I have more. This girl getting baptized her name is Andi. She was amazingly golden. She started coming to church before Elder Kim and I were blessed with the opportunity to cover the singles ward. Her Boyfriend invited her and she accepted then they started to read the Book of Mormon with him and the first councilor in the Bishopric(maybe second I can't remember) She straight up told us during FHE that she wanted to be baptized, so we had a great time teaching the lessons and now she's official. Andi's baptism was great. Elder Kim and I acted as witnesses. That is almost as cool as actually baptizing, because you are right there and its like wow the spirit worked through me to have that happen. Then the testimony meeting afterward was amazing Because Andi's Boyfriend Blake talked about how much this had changed him.
About the white tie... its a tradition I have made for myself. Wear a white tie to all the baptisms I have. I should be doing that in all of my baptism photos I am pretty sure.
That is the new mission home address. I am still going to be a good Elder and play by the rules. Thankfully they will not be changing the mission name because I am sorry The California Carlsbad mission Sounds so much cooler than the California Vista Mission. We just had zone conference yesterday and it was amazing. The focus was on Slowing down our presentation of the first vision to give the spirit more time to work on the investigator, and using the Book of Moromon more in our teaching. Oh my gosh, it makes such a difference. I volunteered to present the vision to Sister Brady. The situation was Sister Brady was my investigator and President was standing behind me making signals if he felt in needed to slow down. I felt the spirit so strong I was shaking. It was amazing. One of the other things Elder Zant pointed out (He is an Assistant to the President also one of my former zone leaders in Vista) the Book of Mormon converts the Bible convinces. Notice the difference. Most people already have their own interpretation of the Bible so when we use it we are swimming up stream in a way. However, when we use the Book of Mormon we are teaching them something new and giving them a chance to gain another perspective. So we have committed to only use the Book of Mormon in lessons for the next week, then we can use the Bible again to back up the Book of Mormon.
love you more then baptisms,
Elder McKenna

58th Lertter from California
I bought a memory card reader at Walmart last week so Megs baptism photos are attached. Elder Kim and I have another baptism set for this Saturday so there will be more pictures to come!!!!That is pretty cool we just had one here in San Diego to. I cant remember if i told you about it, if i didn't let me know so i can tell ou about it.
Orlando must have been amazing. I cant wait to start doing genealogy on my own so I can be of help to some one in that way. Its kind of like missionary work for the dead. We also had a really huge break through with one of our other investigators. Her name is %%%%%%%%%. She had a baptismal date before Christmas but she backed out after she got home from Mexico. She likes to dress immodestly, and party, not a whole lot but she likes being social is the better word I think. She told us on the phone that she doesn't want her mom to be at the lessons because she feels that Sister ^^^^^^^^^^^ puts to much pressure on her, she also said that she wants to be baptized!!! No date or any thing yet but at least we know that the desire is there.
I am also doing a pretty intense Book of Mormon activity as well. I wont give you all the details because I plan on asking the family to do it when I get home but it involves looking for certain themes in the Book of Mormon and it has been really cool and I need to finish by March 9th. Unfortunately I don't have any more details about Dans temple trip but I will let you know as soon as i can. I still need to officially get permission to go but i don't see that being a problem.
No luck with the package but it should be here any day now i think.
love you more than almond roca,
Elder McKenna
