Hey Mom!!!!

Thanks for the message!!! I totally sent a actual hand written letter in the mail the other day with a ton of goodies inside of it!!!!! Hopefully it gets to you ok!!! Let me know if it doesn't.

Everything is going good up here!!!! We actually had a really cool miracle experience!!!! We were visiting some of our potentials yesterday when we came across a girl named Tynesha. She's a way cool African-American lady. She has been studying with other Church's for some time now and trying to find out which one is right for her. We asked her if we could share our message with her and she said yes! We shared the Restoration through the Prophet Joseph Smith and The Book Of Mormon and she loved it!!!!! She said that recently she has been praying to God to show her a sign on what path is right, and then we showed up!!!!! She said that she is definately going to make it to Church this Sunday!!!!! So I'm super excited!!!!

Everything else is going way good too! We got our transfer calls today and Elder Hostman and I are staying here in Everett. So another transfer of getting bulky on bike!!!! And it's been really good weather up here too, so I'm getting a super tan right now!!!!!

Love ya Mom!!!! Tell everyone that I said hi and that I love them!!! I love you too!!!!

P.S. I think it would be cool if you shared that experience with everybody. It's a testimony builder to me!!!!

Mr. Poo Poo Head

Hey Mom
Thanks for the e-mail. I'm doing better today. I was a bit sad last night and I'm still doing a little bit bad but it still wont stop me from doing the work. If anything it will hopefully motivate me to teach people the principles of the Plan Of Salvation, because if the song Families Can Be Together Forever is true, and since Niner was actually a people in our family and not a pet, then we will see him again :)
Thanks again for callling me! I know that it was agianst the rules, but I must have a get out of jail free card somewhere in my wallet! It was better for me to talk to you that just the e-mail.
Nothing really big is going on up here. I will let you know through the letter I will send this week.
I love you a ton Mom! Tell Robert, Jessi, Kayci, and everyone else that I said hi and that I love them too!

Hi Elder jake Man-
Elder Lynam (line-em-up)

How are you doing today, Dude.  How is your new companion?  Hope you're doing good.  I hope you're reading this calm and not in a hurry...

Niner died on Friday night.  Sit down and I'll tell you about it.

So Robert was selling hay to a customer and Niner must have laid down under the tire of the guy and didn't hear him start his truck.  The guy drove over the back of Niner's legs and pelvis.  I actually was on the phone with Robert at the time and I heard the whole thing.  The man felt horrible and so did Robert.  I was at the hospital and ran over there as quick as I could.  I sat in the back of the truck and we took him to the vet.  I held Mr. Pooey in my lap and kept him calm.  When we got to the vet the doc said that his injuries were too extensive and it just wouldn't be fair to have him go through surgery and pins and etc.  We knew that going in and I actually knew that the instant I heard what happened on the phone.

They placed an IV and gave him some meds to make him more comfortable and we just loved him and petted him and I told him what a good dog he had been and that we'd see him again soon.  The doctor gave him some more meds and he just went to sleep.

We brought him back to the farm and buried him under a tree that looks out over the spot where the new arena will be.  I'm going to make a little "headstone" and plant some flowers there.  He really is in a better place, with no hip dysplasiaWinking smile

Here's what I wrote on my facebook page, (which over 45 people have posted comments)

Sad Day yesterday. Mr. Poo Poo Head (Niner) was accidentally run over by a hay customer and we had to put him down. He was 12 years old and a "people", not a dog. I can't believe how hard it's been. But Robert and I found him a nice spot at the farm so he can see everything, bark at all the people, and still be in the shade without getting hurt. I love you, Mr. Pooey, you were such a wonderful part of our family and took such great care of us.
You were with us when we needed you most. You made my "every other weekend" not so lonely and listened to countless hours of nursing stuff when I studied outloud. You and I watched so many movies alone and I realized that you were much better company than most men out there! You were my walking partner and my confidant for many many years. ( I don't think you told anyone any of my secrets!) You barked before the door bell rang, making sure we were safe. You ran alongside the tractor with Robert and me until we finally let you ride. You were there for every family event, making sure you were in every picture. You laid outside with the kids and I watching movies under the stars. You played glow in the dark basketball and brought the ball back. You loved Jessi, bounced around with Jake and were very gentle with Kayci. You loved fetching sticks and going wherever we went. You were so happy at the farm, but no matter what Robert says, I know you loved me more! You made the term, "damn dog", one of endearment and we loved you. We will miss you so much.
I can still tell other people, "Your dog doesn't know SIT!".

I love you, Dude.  I hope you can still stay focused on your mission, but I didn't want to not tell you.  Just know that he died peacefully and I was there within a few minutes and we were at the vet within the hour getting pain medication.  He couldn't move his entire back end so I know it was the very best thing to do.  He laid his head in my lap the whole time.  He knows we loved him and that he was the very best dog in the whole wide world.

I love you to the moon.

Mom

Hey Mom!!!!

Thanks for the e-mail!!! Sorry that it's taken so long to get this to you! So I am now currently serving in the Everett 3rd Ward!!!!! It's a way cool Ward and I'm already really liking the members here!!!! There was a non member at Church this last Sunday and people totally went up to her and made her feel totally welcome!!!! And it's also a bike area!!!! My thighs are going to get pretty big again hahahahaha!!!! Speaking of bikes I really need some money on getting some bike stuff. I bought a bike for a 100 dollars and then it craped out on me so I bought another bike that was brand new at Fred Meyer's for 125 dollars and it's already crapping out on me too!!!!!!!! So I guess bikes just dont like me a ton. But what I'm going to do is combine the best of the two bikes and make a super awesome bike so I dont have to keep spending money on fixing stuff on it and buying new stuff. But I do need some more money on my home card so if you could do that ASAP that would be totally awesome!!!

My new companion is Elder Yates!!! He is a way cool Elder from Saratoga Springs. He likes debate, outdoor stuff, reading, and a ton of other things. He is way funny and he is SUPER intelligent when it comes to the scriptures. And since he's in debate, he can hold his own very well in talking with others that are trying to disprove our message!!!! But it still all comes down to them reading and praying about The Book Of Mormon and also praying about Joseph Smith.

Thats not good how Mr. Poo Poo head has to go live at the farm for the summer!!!! Hopefully he will have more fun there. And I really hope that he will make it so I can say hi to him when I get home.

Thanks again for all that you do for me Mom!!!!!! I read your little red book you gave me for Christmas 2008 when I was going through all of those hard times. I definately shed a tear or two when I read it. I usually read it in the bathroom during personal study so no one can see me while I read it. Thanks for a being an awesome mom who does stuff like that!!!!

P.S. Did you get my package with my sweet suits and my poster? That brown one is a sweet three peice suit with bell bottoms!!!!! That's what I call a chick magnet!!!!!

Hey Mom!!!!!!!

Thanks for the pics! You look AWESOME with your horsey and everything!!!!!! Thats way cool that you got pics of that! Who was taking the pics? They were really well done! I forgot what your horse's name is again? She looks way cool! How old is she? She looks pretty majestic! Big word huh?

Looks like your doing really good? Everything is going really good up here! We got two new investigators yesterday! One of them is named Amethesta! Thats a pretty awesome name, and Leslie! Amethesta is a 14yr old girl who is going to read and pray about the Book Of Mormon. We taught almost the whole family, but she was the only one willing to read and pray about it. So hopefully all goes well with her! And Leslie is a mom of two boys and married. She we had a way awesome lesson yesterday where she asked tons and tons of really good questions! It's nice to have people genuially interested instead of just talking about random stuff all the time! She's going to read and pray about the Book Of Mormon too and we will hopefully get a chance to teach her family next time we see her!

We are still working with the investigators who we already have. Angelina is progressing really well! Paulene and Paulete are awesome, but they're really hard to get ahold of!!!!! We got to meet with them more than 3 weeks at a time! And we are helping Dani stay on date for baptism for may 5th. She fell off date awhile ago when she was supposed to be baptized on Dec 31st of last year, but she'll get baptized this time!!!!!!

Everything else is going way good! Transfer calls are next week. I want to stay for another transfer, but I could also be moving because I will be here for 4 and a half months by the end of the transfer. I'm going to work extra hard this week because it could be my last one here in this area!

Love you mom!!!! Thank you for all that you do for me and the family!!!!! Don't worry about me getting trunky. It kind of sucked to see those pics of the gang but its all good hahahaha. I almost am at the 9 months left point. Time flies out here so fast!!!! It's insane!!!! Tell the family that I love them and miss them a ton!!!! Tell Roberto that it's getting close to lawn mowing season hahahahaha. Tell Kayci that she's awesome for going on a service mission. I sent her an email last week too telling her how awesome she was! Let me know if there is anything I can do for you guys. I can only do so much though because I'm too busy gathering Isreal!!!!

P.S. I will send that package this week I promise. And you can look through it and gaze upon my riches!!!!!

1/30/12

Dear Mom!!!!

Thanks for the e-mail and the updates. I cant believe that Pork chop is coming home already!!!!!!!!!!!! It's insane how fast time flies!!!!! I can't wait to see the pics of him getting off the plane!!!!!

Oh, did you hear? Joey, my cousing, got his mission call to Peru!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will try and send a link with this message. Hopefully it works unlike someone else I know who tries to send stuff .....hahaha jk!!!! I am so excited for him to go there! I know that he was struggling with whether he would go or not, but he is and I am sooooooooooo happy for him!!!!!! He gets a bit emotional in the video, so that was really neat to see!

Everything is going extra awesome up here!! We had an AWESOME lesson with Paulete last Tuesday!!!! We retaught the Restoration and she told us that she believes the Joseph Smith story and she also said that she has been continueing to meet with us because the stuff that we teach feels right to her!!!!! And she even came to Sacrament meeting this Sunday!!!!!!!!!!! So we have really high hopes for her!!!! I will let you know!!!!

We are also having Kiki come to Church this Sunday!!! Her husband Emanuel is now a little indiferrent to changing chruches, but Kiki came in and saved the day by saying that she is going to continue to read The Book Of Mormon and pray about it!!!!! She really liked how we asked her to ask God about it. And she said that she is going to do some more investigating to see if this is the path that God wants her on. So hopefully Emanuel's heart will soften and will come to Church with her soon!!!

My new companion is Elder Memmott!!! He is from Rexburg Idaho.......where's a map!? He likes video games, building computers, snowboarding, and backpacking! He's a way smart guy too! His dad works a professor at BYU Idaho that teaches Graphic Arts!!!! I need to do some talking to my new companion about if that's a good school to go to!

I love you Mom!!!! Tell the fam that I said hi and that I love them!!!! I love you to Mom and thank you soooooooooo much for all that you do for me and the prayers that you give for me and the work out here!!!!! They are definately paying off!!!!

I LOVE SKYPE!!!!!!

So, our Christmas phone call with Elder Jake Man was sooooooooo fun!!!!  He called at 9:00 a.m. (right during Church!)  he had called a couple of days before to schedule with us, so we planned ahead and Santa came for Kayci at 7:00!  We had a nice visit and got the updates on everything from companions to cereal choices!  He was going to a members home that evening to open his presents.  His presents were already there because cute Sister Bruner had called me and asked for all of Jakes favorite traditions so she could try to reproduce as many as she could!  She told me that she had Skype (her son was "skyping" her that day because he is on a mission, too!)  They had their computer all set up when I got home from work and we got to watch Jake open his presents!  It was so fun!
Last year I think it would have been hard for him and it may have made him homesick, but I actually think it was good this year.  He said that we all look the same!  Niner made an appearance in front of the computer and the rest of us tried our best to get "face time"!
I made the mistake of telling Jake that it looked like he was getting enough meals... that just made him think I thought he was FAT!!!!!  I told him that all I was thinking was that he was healthy and doing well.

Technology is good!

I'm so grateful to know that he is doing good.  His testimony is growing and he sounds so grown up!  (That until he was making faces into the computer while on skype!!!)

Anyway, here's his letter...

Thank you Mom sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much for the gifts and the tons and tons and tons and tons of other stuff that you sent me!!!!!! It was way fun to see you all!!!!! Everyone looks the exact same the way that I left them. Apparently I am different looking from the time I left from your comment about me looking like I am getting well fed hahahaha! JK. I swear I'm not fat! I just look jolly..........like Santa!
Anyways everything is going good here, there really isnt much else going on other than the stuff that I told you yesterday and last night. So all that I have to say is that I love you and tell the rest of the fam that I love them too!!!!!
Seriously though, thank you again for the presents that you sent me,(especially the You Are My Sunshine Book that was really cool) I feel spoiled all the freaking time because I have a way awesome family on top of them willing to do all of this stuff for me!!!!! You guys are seriously the most awesomenest peoples!!!!!!!!
Love Elder Lynam (line-em-up)
P.S. I will be sending my SD card home pretty soon. So watch out for it
P.P.S. hi

Hey Mom!!!

Thanks for the letter and the news on the packages!!!!!!! I feel so freaking spoiled!!!!! We will be getting our packages at the Christmas Devotional on Wednesday. And thanks again for putting that extra money on my card. I totally forgot to tell you that the first day that I was on the San Juans, we had to pay a ferry ticket to get on and it costed about 54 dollars!!!! I was able to get the money re-embersed onto my JP card, but when I had to pay the ferry ticket I had to use my home card. So if you want to take off 54 dollars from my card that would be awesome!!!!! And I also want to cash my checks, but I need to set up a bank account somewhere to do that. Which one would be the best for that. There is no American Express here hahaha. I liked it a whole lot more when you took care of stuff like this for me!

Everything is going good up here too! Elder Rashcka is really cool. He's a really funny guy and has a way cool testimony!!!! Our investigators are doing good also!! We hope to get in and teach a lesson to Paulene and Paulete tommorow. And Church was really cool too because there was a ton of less active members there!!!! So hopefully they keep coming! And Elder Raschka and I have been passing out those gift DVD's like CRAZY!!!! Everyone that we have given them to has had a positive response. Thank you again so much for the gift package to make those. It will help people see that we're not so weird after all hahaha.

Thanks again so much mom for all that you do for me and everyone else!!! I cant believe that I get to talk to you this Sunday!!!!! I will talk to you most likely around 9 in the morning your time. I will be checking this email tommorow during Mormon.org time to see if you have anything else you want to say about the phone call this Sunday. Tell everyone that I love them and that I miss them!!!!! And know again that I love you too!!!!!
