September, October, and November 2013
All dressed for her last day of soccer practice. She has really enjoyed playing in her rookie year. Scored at least one goal in almost every game!
A fun art project Abby and I did that we copied from Pinterest
Rett used his frontloader to help gather all the "dirt" pieces of the puzzle
Chillin' while they watch me work in the yard
To get rid of his Halloween candy, we played Old Maid. Whoever won a game got a piece of candy. It took about 15 games to get rid of it all! His idea completely.
Soup and breadsticks at the Christofferson's and then trick-or-treating in the neighborhood.
Preschool parade - Captain Rett
Fairy Abby
Just a cute hat we found in Target
Enjoying a pancake in her new booster seat. We're skipping the high chair.
Lately these two like to fall asleep in Mom and Dad's bed and then be carried to their own individual beds.
Jumpin' Jacks with bestie Ty during school hours - we pretty much had the place to ourselves!
Hike at Johnson's Arch in Snow Canyon
Playing Peek-a-Boo through the window with Rett
My kids pretending we have a dog
Growing the hair out paid off! For a while I guess until we decided to cut it all off again.
Hanging out in the garage one night. Random, but the kids wanted to bike/rollerblade
I thought I'd get a salon's opinion about how to cut his longer hair. He wasn't too excited at first but was then smiling ear to ear by the time we left. Honestly, I had to help the girl cut his hair (we went to a hair college) so after that I decided I would do it myself from now on. Ironically, he keeps telling me he wants to go back to the salon! What have I gotten myself into?!
Silly/creative Abby gave me this after school one day
One of their favorite places to hang out on a lazy Sunday afternoon
She comes up with this stuff on her own all the time:
My dear friend just up the street, Joy Lindquist, passed away in October, from Melanoma that spread to her brain. She was my age, just two months and five days older. She was survived by her husband and two kids. So hard to see her struggle and in so much pain, but even harder to see her loved ones lose someone so important in their lives. She will be greatly missed. I was fortunate/blessed to know her for a short while.
The Garner's came to St. George for a visit in October and we spent a day/night in Springdale. We had lots of fun biking, swimming, and eating at Oscars.
Hillary and I did our own 5k Saturday morning in and out of Zion's. So beautiful!
Kissing with Rett's donkey lips
Abby turned seven years old October 14th. Our sweet neighbors behind us, Bill and Shirley, gave her the new and cool Rainbow Loom. She loves it!
Izzy gave her an American Girl Doll outfit
Grandma Joyce gave her an American Girl Doll camping tent
We drove home from Centerville on Abby's birthday. Matt had lemon cupcakes waiting for the kids to decorate. And he even put the Birthday banner up for her. She felt loved for sure!
Before heading home, Sig and Lou and I got together one last time before Lou gave birth to her #4. We met for breakfast and then went to Dick's Bakery for old times sake.
Grandma Joyce was sweet to make Abby Mickey pancakes the morning of her birthday.
Grandma and Grandpa had everyone over for an early birthday dinner for Abby. The Garners, Jones, and Andersons all came to celebrate. Thanks everyone!
Jen and Sabe invited me to go with them to a BYU home football game. Nothing like being in LaVell Edwards Stadium. Thanks guys!
So fun to watch the game with my sis!
Gotta love a Cougar Tail!
Jen and I took all the kids to Cornbelly's Friday. We saw Abby's English teacher coming out of the building next to us. Oops. She's glad we were having so much fun.
Jen was queen of the slide!
My friend Lou sent me these pictures of Rett and Ty playing with boxing gloves in their backyard.
Trying to open a door with boxing gloves on
Rett has what's called Nursemaid's Elbow - his elbow joint easily pops out of place. I learned how to pop it back in to place after I took this picture. Poor kid.
Painting Halloween pumpkins
This squash entertained Claire for the entire trip through the grocery store.
General Conference Weekend - the kids were great to sit through one entire session
In between sessions we played Matt's homemade Ladder-ball Golf while the kids kicked the soccer ball.
He got all the supplies out himself and came up with these masterpieces. He watches his older sister do the same thing almost every day.
This kid loves to make his own turkey sandwiches. So independent.
At 10 months old, we put her in a rear-facing toddler car seat. She was just growing so fast! Now she has lots more room.
Loves to crawl!
Rett's new way of hanging up his clothes
Go Pink Tigers #7! It was fun to watch Abby grow as a soccer player during the season. She improved a lot for never having played before.
Matt doesn't like to say goodbye every morning to this little girl.
Where is that kid?
After getting ice cream one night, Rett wasn't ready to get out of the car. He wanted to watch the rest of White Christmas.
Abby hung her clothes out all ready to go for school the next day
Backyard campout
Mom's breakfast smoothies
Rett chose my old Miami Dolphins football costume helmet for his bike helmet one day
Trying to explain to me that he's four now so he can do whatever he wants!
She's a graham cracker lover just like her Grandpa David
Her own art nook
Claire is my most flexible baby
