January projects

Well we are into the third week of January and I'm working on lots of projects (as usual) and will have some exiting collaborations to tell you about later this month. Its an exiting month ahead, be sure to look at my Instagram page for updates. granny square love First up is my granny square blanket using Debbie Bliss Rialto DK yarn, my absolute favourite yarn ever and I have a big stash of this hiding under my bed (like you do) So far I have about 40 squares joined with lots more to make. I plan to make 100 in total and maybe no two will be the same. Its a great project for stash busting too. It has to be my favourite project because using join as you go method pieces all the puzzle together and you end with one large colourful blanket thats taken hours upon hours to complete and last years. Granny Jumper by Cassie Ward Then there's my take on the granny square jumper by Cassie Ward  that was published in Insidecrochet magazine  issue 96 and lots of mustard

Daisy granny square

In April 2018 I started this pretty blanket, it never got finished. Last night driving home I decided to turn it into a granny jumper all joined in denim blue. It’s looking great, pictures to follow on my Instragram account this weekend. I do love Sue's book, its packed with so many projects and ideas and the photos are beautiful. The daisy granny square pattern is quite addictive and you soon have a small pile of them in no time! I plan to crochet more tonight - my perfect chill out kind of Friday night. Mustard makes

You may remember I started a new jumper back in February, it had been on my wish list for ages now you find the original post here  The pattern is by Cassie Ward and in issue 96 of Inside crochet and its called  Granny's Jumper. I had a digital subscription for a year which is handy because all the past patterns are always with me including this one. Earlier this week (Tuesday) I couldn't settle on which prohect to pick up after work and then I remembered this one and fell in love with it all over again. I've made a little progress but its gone back in its box whilst I finish two other granny jumpers that are nearer completion. And this one requies a little more brain power to get the circle into a square! But I'll be sure to get back onto it again. getting my granny on writing notes so I don't forget the colours my first square!

Granny Tee (Indigo Blue)

Indigo Blue : this happened last night, I finally dived into my Scheepjes Skies mini skien box (heavy) and I'm in love with this yarn! I was sitting watching a film when I had the sudden urge to crochet another Granny Tee by Sarah (aka annaboos house) The mini skeins are perfect and I've just ordered another box for the back plus a larger skein for the sleeves and joining. It has amazing drape and the colours are a subtle shift of indigo that is going to look fabulous over a white t shirt with jeans and flip flops. Perfect partnership. You can watch my progress over on my Instagram account. Indigo Blue I buy my yarn from Lusciously Loopy because the service is first class and I like to support independent businesses. Lynn stocks the Scheepjes Skies mini skein packs and the full size 100g skeins and shes super helpful when it comes to helping customers in the UK and Worldwide. Ball weight:28 gram, Length:47 meter, Gauge:18 stitches, 16 rows to 10

Granny square tee

I'm totally in love with this pattern  from Inside Crochet issue 90 it's so clever and you can use just about any yarn substitute the start I've used Lion Brand Heartland for this version in this beautiful gold colour and I've also got a rich turquoise in my yarn stash to use for my next granny tee! in the round I hadn't planned on making one in this yarn, I'd actually started off in Debbie Bliss Rialto but ran out of one discontinued colour, when a lightbulb moment told me to use the Lion Brand in my stash. It's come out better than I expected, a sort of lived in relaxed fit boxy kind of jumper in the softest yarn, with great drape and I love it!! I can't give you the pattern (sorry if you've popped in expecting to find a free pattern, but I can direct you to where to buy your copy) What I can tell you is my notes on how I put mine together if you fancy using the same yarn. Here are some notes I wrote as I was putting mine toget
