My First Build!
Here is a shot of my first build in Second Life! I was only one month old when I made this...I hung out in Sandboxes for the first little while watching other Second Lifers make creations out of objects...I eventually grasped with learning how to shape objects, but texturing was and still is another feat to be had! ha! Also, I have included a pic of my first virtual plot of land...a baby island! :)

2nd Build
By now, 6 months have past with my journey in Second Life...I've met alot of other Second Lifers...Shaunathan Sprocket being one of them, who I met back in January,2006 who guided me with how to use Photoshop, and showed me some tricks with regards to building, in particular linking....Linking up objects is VERY important with building in Second Life. Here is my first huge build for myself "The Rose Hill House" where I resided in Caledon's "Highlands".

The Birth of my Tea Shoppe!
By now....I was ready to open a business, but didn't know what!? Since I was in a "Victorian" themed Sim, I needed to come up with something that reflected the Sim...Hence the birth of "The Willow Tea Room!" Since I was in an area of Caledon that didn't have alot of foot traffic, I had to move my shoppe to an area nearer a telehub...that happened in July, 2006 when I moved to another area of Caledon called "Caledon On Sea." My instincts where right on the money, The Willow Tea Room became semi sucessful! As of February 3rd, 2007., I moved my Tea Shoppe to the new Steampunk sim, New Babbage.

CRM Steampunk Clock
Made from the real life photograph below this picture, I used MS paint to draw the clock face and made the clock hand alpha textures in Photoshop. Shaun put in the running clock script for me, so the clock tells real P.S.T which is the Second Life time...all the time.

1st Custom Build - House For An Art Lover
This was my first custom build that I made for a couple, Charles Rennie Mackintosh's "House For An Art Lover." I must say, this was a very difficult build to make...Everything started off allright, then I ran into a bunch of snags with opposition from others, and then had to eventually cut the build down in size, to which it is now, "Hill House."

Since I was stalled, and then eventually stopped "The House For An Art Lover" build, I and the customer I was building the house for, comprimised with "Hill House." The following pictures are the end result of "Hill House", which was my first paying custom build.

New Babbage Flag
For the new Steampunk Sim "New Babbage", Shaunathan Sprocket put out the idea that the City needed a flag, so I jumped at the chance and asked him if I could give it a shot to design the flag and he said sure thing.
Shaun put out some ideas with regards to the look and style he was seeking. He wanted the flag to protray a "crest" symbolizing the victorian steam industrial era. The first picture, is the 2nd sketch of the flag that I did...I felt a shilohette of a factory, shooting out steam and flames would capture the idea of "steampunk" and the hammer and wrench show "industry". The "Cog" above the factory, symbolizes the sun, which is black and white, like a yin and yang to protray the negative and positive of the era.
Since I'm not too knowledgable and savvy in Photoshop yet, there is still ALOT to learn in P.S and I just know the basics, I handed my flag sketch over to fellow Steampunker, Solivar Scarbourgh, who took my flag drawing and took a crack at
re- creating my concept. Solivar did an absolutely brillant job with the flag in P.S....He captured the concept and vision of the flag so well, I couldn't of handed it over to a more talented individual...it was as though he took extra care with my idea and brought it to life...I was estatic when I saw the final version of it, and I am still in "ahhhh" of it! Good work Solivar! :0) "All in all we are just a sim in the grid." hehe!
