Its funny how sometimes no matter how much u want to, u just can't seem to hold a decent conversation with some ppl. It may not be just some certain ppl, or it may, but the thing is - there are actually ppl out there that u CANNOT talk to, no matter wat u try...maybe once or twice u hit a subject tt both of u perk up at... but then, an awkward silence sometimes sets in after tt...
I guess it could happen when u just met someone for the very first time. especially when u dun "hit it off"...lucky the socialites who are comfortable being in the limelight, and are full of interesting anecdotes and stories...but dun they end up with too many frens to keep up with, making them seem rather superficial? I dunno.. maybe I just can't manage time well.

Just back from the relentless sprint sets on a hot sweltering sun afternoon. Got myself burnt again. Sigh.
I figure most ppl to be passionate abt something. What are you passionate abt? To have something they crave, that they want so badly. Some ppl just need a little nudging and they're off and rattling on and on abt their passion, or showing off something they love so much...some ppl love something so much that they will do it until they're comparative experts in it...even if they dun have the means to do/have it, they will find the way, no matter wat, come hail or high water...Now THAT is passion! And to spend your life involved in that passion somehow, be it work...or as a lifestyle...would be what we all wanna do.
Ok...I have dreams too, there are things I wish I could do, or I wanna do before I reach 30. Is that a passion? Or are they goals? I have transitory passion. I may feel that burning desire in the beginning, but over time, this passion never fails to peter out or fizzle into nothing. It was sailing at 1st...then the unforgettable rides on my precious cannondale and bokor...until some unfortunate incident happened. Next came climbing that brought me so many pleasant memories. Now it's the triathlon experience. Whats next?
Maybe they change or become more focused. I never have that drive to sacrifice something for my passion. Lets discount the time, money and discipline. I'm refering to sacrificing certain objectives in life. Am I passionless? Or just adaptive? Could be I just noe how not to expect stuff...dun dream abt something till it becomes remotely possible, or you're just deceiving yourself and prolonging your pain! Focus on the here and now...so what if your passion changes every so often?
I believe I have passion for a lot more things that way, even if they are only transitory...

Disappointment.

I tot I heard someone I respect greatly say something that made me stop and turn and think today. I had immense amounts of respect for him, and am always singing his praises, trying to see into his actions, to interpret them to see what the hidden meaning behind them was.

But when he revealed this kink in his armour, I was thoroughly taken aback, to the point of stopping in mid-step, frozen in disbelief. I just hope that wat he said at that point in time was me mis-hearing it, knowing how I am half deaf most of the time...But if I heard it right, then I dunno how I will be able to hold him in such a high regard in future anymore.

Sigh.

Work mostly.
Training suddenly took on a different level. From casual, relaxed, no stress environment, to a strange increase in tension and expectations. This was observed soon after the dengue period. So I've had to re-organise goals, expectations of myself, time-frames and mindsets.. and I must say, things are definitely for the better, tho the level of stress has gone to my head. I am constantly having mild headaches, light-headedness, terrible muscle aches and physical pain and of late, feeling sleepy once again. I still am looking forward to training, but have realised many many things, having been bitten a wee bit already.
And so the HEAT is ON!
