Update
Little guy is being stubborn. But when your current home consists of numerous naps and loads of treats, why would you want to leave??
We are still scheduled to begin induction tomorrow evening. So April Fool's baby is in our future. Good thing Eric isn't a funny guy and won't think of giving gag gifts every single year ;)

week 78
Today is our official due date. And officially, there are minimal signs this baby is ready to see the world. I started having back contractions on Friday along with some other things that male readers don't want to hear but then it all subsided by the time I woke up and got moving on Saturday. So the likelihood of him joining us on the outside today? Not so likely.
This past Friday was my last day at work and now I'm on maternity leave. Hate to waste maternity days for a baby that isn't here but it will be nice to do a few other things as this week starts. What will I do? I want to make a few casseroles that I can freeze. I have yet to buy this baby a single outfit. Weird, right? It's time to hit the mall. I'm going out to lunch with some girlfriends. And I'm craving cinnamon rolls - they are on my list to make today.
If this baby isn't here by Thursday, I'm getting induced. My doctor was not pleased with this decision - they are fine with me going up to 2 weeks over - but I really don't want a 10 lb baby. And my stomach is itching like no other. No more room to grow. Week 40 picture? You might be horrified.

week 77
Conversation between Eric and I on Monday (might have been Tuesday)
Erin: Wow, the NCAA tournament is here in Denver this week.
Eric: Yes, I heard that
Erin: Maybe we should see who is playing (logging into computer and looking). Oh, BYU plays here. Lets try and go.
Eric: Really? Okay.
Erin: Looks like they play Thursday. Wonder how good they are.
Um, yes, they are good. Better than good. I admit, I have not followed BYU sports at all since I left BYU. And Eric doesn't follow basketball at all. So between those two things its a bit funny that we found ourselves purchasing tickets to the NCAA tournament especially when we realized how much tickets were. At that point my secret motivation went something like this... "maybe if we buy these expensive tickets we'll go into labor and never get to use the tickets and be out the money. Wouldn't that be our luck. wink. wink". Didn't work. Still with child over here.
We ended up at Saturday's game instead of Thursday. I'm glad we risked purchasing tickets before we even knew if they would be playing on Saturday. It was a fabulous game. It was fun to sing the Cougar fight song (surprised I remembered it) and be amongst all that energy in the arena. Those Cougars look really good. And their superstar, Fredette, was amazing to watch. So glad we were able to go.
View from our seats. They were actually great seats even though this shot isn't so great.
New subject...I told Eric as we were going to church this morning, I just want someone to tell me the baby has dropped. I feel like he has dropped but its hard to know when you see yourself every day. At least 4 ladies told me it looks like the baby has dropped and I didn't ask any of them. Music to my ears.

baby Werth
We had a growth ultrasound done today to see how big our little guy is getting (and to check on the status of my fibroid. But really, who cares about that.) The ultrasound tech was able to get this great shot. Look at those fabulous chubby cheeks.
So yes, he is getting big. They estimated him over 8 lbs and his head was measuring just under 10 cm. 90th percentile. Ha. We can hardly wait to really see that little face.

week 76
Ah, sunshine. We went to the St Pattys day parade in Denver on Saturday. It started out a bit chilly but once those clouds left the sun alone, it was pure bliss soaking up some much needed rays. We sat there for two hours and then left and the parade still wasn't over. Apparently Denver has the 3rd largest St Patricks day parade in the country which I find a bit strange. Chicago, Boston I get. But Denver? Hey, it got us some good sun. Well, Eric forgot his sunscreen so the sun wasn't as great for him. He was using our seat covers to try and get some shade. He got a tad sunburned.
We then wandered to an Irish Pub, met up with some friends and had a nice Irish lunch - corned beef and cabbage. They had a bag pipe band playing and Irish dancers performing. It was highly entertaining. A good way to spend a Saturday.
Sunday afternoon we went on a long walk to try and get this baby moving. Whats sad is the long walk was only 2.5 miles. When you haven't been exercising regularly, you can feel a 2.5 mile walk. My hips were quite sore by the end.
I've come to terms with the fact that this baby might not be born in March. I really, really didn't want this pregnancy to go into April but since my doctor will let me go an entire week past my due date before they induce its a real possibility. No matter what, Friday the 25th is my last day working.
We still haven't agreed upon a name and new names are making their way onto our list.
Is it weird to anyone else that Eric mentioned that he wants to buy a new outfit for himself for the labor and delivery? He isn't kidding either. :)
Week 38 picture still needs to be downloaded from our camera but I will post it later this week. I must work now.

50 random things about me
My friend Jennie tagged me in her blog to come up with 50 random things about myself. 50 is a lot! I think she secretly knows I'm easily distracted at work these days and needed something to do during those distractions... ;) So here goes...
1. I've been coloring my hair faithfully since I was 23. I'm not entirely certain what my natural color is anymore
2. I never go more than 6 weeks between hair cut/coloring
3. I still have dreams to this day that I didn't complete a college course and couldn't graduate
4. I never want to move out of the state of Colorado
5. I love Arizona in the month of March. Starting next year it will become a yearly trip for us for some spring training baseball and orange blossoms and wildflowers
6. I'm a very private person. Only few people know the inner workings of my head. And they probably wish they didn't know it ;)
7. I tend to scowl without knowing it and often get asked if I'm okay or to smile by strangers. I hate that. Its just my deep in thought face.
8. I moved to Boston at the start of 2004 and worked for 6 months looking for parasites in peoples poop. It had to be my worst job ever. Hence why I no longer work at a laboratory.
9. I never enjoyed babysitting growing up
10. I wanted to be an architect when I was younger
11. I also wanted to be a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader
12. I take a nap probably 4 out of 7 days
13. During most of my college days I drove a Honda Civic Wagon.
14. I ditched school a lot during my senior year of high school and still managed to graduate number 22 in my class of 730.
15. I'm pretty sure Arizona has one of the worst school systems. When I got to college I struggled a lot to keep up.
16. I was a munchkin in the Wizard of Oz play when I was in 1st grade.
17. I threw up in the water while scuba diving. I don't suggest doing that.
18. I've climbed to the crown of the Statue of Liberty
19. I'm looking forward to not working full-time anymore (I'm pretty sure this isn't a random thing. EVERYONE knows this)
20. I am not a shopper. I love saving money
21. I love going to the movies
22. I love going out with my girlfriends
23. I love it when Eric cooks dinner which happens to be most nights when we do cook at home
24. Eric introduced me to the world of fine dining. Eating out has never been the same
25. I really want to go to as many baseball games as we did last summer and am hoping this baby cooperates
26. I've always been a very bad Christmas present buyer/giver.
27. I love the mountains
28. I have so many started yet unfinished craft projects including the crib set for this baby
29. Its really hard for me to go a solid day without a Diet Coke.
30. I tend to be sarcastic and often offend people without realizing it. Not my favorite trait.
31. My fingernails grow very well
32. My favorite type of vacation is sitting on the beach soaking up sun and reading a book
33. I'm a sleep monkey
34. I want to have a garden one day
35. I am not a good cook. I'm pretty much not a cook at all.
36. My dream house would be right on a lake
37. Eric and I have been a one car family for a solid year now and are managing fine
38. I started snoring during this pregnancy
39. It drives me crazy when Eric leaves the faucet running while he brushes his teeth
40. It drives Eric crazy when he is in the bathroom getting ready and I come in to get ready
41. I love sunkist fruit snacks
42. We have 4 boxes of girl scout cookies in our freezer
43. In all the years I lived in the desert, I only had one scorpion in my house. (at least that I was aware of)

45. I'm ready for Spring
46. I record and watch 19 Kids and Counting
47. I watch House Hunters almost every day

week 75
Simply waiting...
Our week consisted of many date nights to our favorite restaurants. We know those days are nearing an end for awhile and we are trying to get our fill. It was Denver Restaurant week. Restaurants around the city offer a $52.80 per couple special on some very fancy meals. Its a great way to indulge on places that are normally very very pricey.
I did go out with some girlfriends one evening as well to enjoy Denver Restaurant week. You can check that out here. (Mom, that means click the actual word "here" and it will take you to the other web page). ;-)
Have I mentioned that Eric has a fake tooth that needs to soak in a glass of efferdent each evening? That is what happens when you turn 40. I still chuckle every time I see it. He He.
