Do we look alike yet?

You know how couples start looking alike after they've been together for some time? How 'bout us? Any resemblance yet?

Something tells me we won't be one of those couples. This is a shot from our recent time in New Orleans. Good times; now back to the gym! (they don't eat so well in the South)

Blood tests were good people. They were really good. Next round of tests is next week. This next round means even more. I'm still very nervous that this may actually happen and all our freedom will be gone. Is that weird?

New Orleans

First impression... Dirty.

Second impression... glad I'm not here in the dead of summer. Humidity.

Week 30

So I woke up in the middle of the night last night thinking about my blog and wondering what I could post today. It was one of those things I have no clue why my brain was thinking this and I could not turn it off. Does that ever happen to you? For some reason I thought interviewing Eric would be an entertaining thing to do on my blog. Is that weird or what?! Sorry, no Eric interview.

Just when we thought summer was right around the corner, spring reminded us it is still in full force complete with snow/rain mix, hail and confirmed tornado spotting south of Denver. I had to pull out my winter coat again. I wasn't happy about it. Bring on summer already!

We are off to New Orleans tomorrow; my first time there! I have a conference to go to so Eric is tagging along. We tried really hard to exercise and eat well this week knowing that hoards of fatty food await us the next couple days.

Blood tests round #1 were done on Friday. Fingers crossed people!

Week 29

We watched Rosie this week again. We like her but were (once again) glad on Sunday to see her go. She tends to get up early and well, on Saturday and Sunday, we don't. And I don't care what any of you non-pet lovers have to say, you can't stick her in a room and sleep through the non-stop meowing. Impossible. We tried.

For some reason she loves water. She is a little crazy this one. I think this may becoming more of a permanent cat sitting gig. Ut Oh. (Laurel, don't judge me)

I spent all week traveling to an office in traffic and everything. Ha. It is mostly Canadians that moved to Denver for the job. I went to stick my lunch in the fridge the first day and this is what I found. I guess they do things differently in Canada. I mean, where is the Diet Coke?!

Our weekend couldn't have been more perfect. We had no obligations and no where we had to be. We did spend about 5 hours cleaning on Saturday. The roof project sure made a mess of our place. It seems that they are beyond our area now. Happy Day.

And then we hit the Avalanche vs Sharks hockey playoff game. And what a game it was! I think I really may enjoy hockey! At least playoff hockey.

And here is the obnoxious fan sitting in front of us. He is twirling a shark on a noose. Seriously. $100 he was not married.
I was supposed to be in California this week for work but plans changed and I'm home and I'm glad. I got up and drove down to the Denver office today. I think this may become a regular thing for me. I don't mind it and am more productive out of the house and it feels good to be forced to get dressed before noon! :)

Have a good week everyone!

Today

I left the house to escape the roof replacement noise. And noise is really an understatement. It is more than noise. Its the kind of sound that makes you a little crazy in about 3 minutes. Maybe even 2 minutes. And that doesn't even include the dust and dirt and soot that accompanies it. Nor the workers peeking into our skylights as we are getting ready in the morning. I'm pretty certain one of them whistled at me this morning. And to think I was going to be nice and make them brownies.
I drove down to our Denver office which is 20 miles in traffic. I get here and they are adding an expansion to the office. Yep. Noise. I will classify this as noise though. So I can deal. But still!

And then to top it off, I have a zit the size of Delaware on my nose. Eric said it looked like a third eyeball. Yes, its that big! I actually went to a dermatologist last week because of my increasing acne issues. I have more acne now than I ever did when - well ever. She says it is normal when women reach their late 30's. Its a sign hormone levels are shifting which of course made me freak out since we are trying to get pregnant. What is my body doing?!

Oh, today is good. (insert crazy face here)

Week 27 AND 28

Sorry fans (do I have fans?) for the lack of blogging the last two weeks. Work has been busy, I've been traveling and was waiting for some pictures to use in the blog. I'm home now, have the pictures and am ready to post!

Week 27 I traveled to Utica, NY for work. Utica is about 2 hours from Canandaigua where Eric's family lives. So Eric joined me on Friday and we were able to spend Easter and celebrate Lu's (Eric's Mother) birthday with Eric's family. What a treat! It was so fun dying Easter eggs with the kids and watching them hunt for eggs. We lucked out with some amazing weather as well. Look how inviting Western NY looks in these pictures. I feel so lucky to know I get to travel to this area several times per year for the rest of my life.

Eric with the kids and Rudy the bulldog. Sam is right behind him on the 4-wheeler. I always love how excited the kids are to see us. They are great kids!

Lake Canandaigua in the background. Look at that blue sky!

Happy Birthday to Lu!
Naughty Eric and Dale doused their Mother with silly string after we sang Happy Birthday. I don't think it was her favorite part of the day. :)

Mary Pat and me.
Week 28 was a very busy week with work. Blah. But Friday at noon we shut down our computers and headed to Rockies opening game. Baseball is back! Its the sign that summer is right around the corner and we can't wait!

At the stadium.
View from the stadium. Straight down the main street is the building where we live. We could see the Acme sign from the stadium even though it didn't show up great in the picture. We love being so close to Coors Field!
They finally opened a good gym that is walkable from our loft. Hallelujah. We signed up this weekend and hit the gym this morning. It felt soooo good. The sun is beckoning to us this afternoon. I think we may jump on the scooter and go for a nice Sunday ride through some of our favorite neighborhoods.

Happy day everyone!
