For those of you who thought we wouldn't make it to 6 months, pay up!
This week consisted of selling my car (you wonder how I could sell it with this picture, but I did). I cried a little. I loved this car. But the lady who purchased it was very sweet so it made me feel better about saying goodbye. We are now a one car + scooter family. Several of my friends said they give us 3 months before we are out shopping for another car. I think we can do it. I really think for now we can make it work.
We got a good snowstorm this week. The good wet, heavy snow that makes the trees gorgeous and the roads a mess. The power went out in our building which caused all sorts of excitement. The elevator stopped with a poor elderly woman in it. So the firetrucks were summoned, and the lady was freed. I'm pretty sure I would have wet my pants waiting.
I love snow in trees.
Eric and I ventured out once the power went out (it was 6pm) and went to get dinner. What a slushy mess! When we got back to our building the stairwells were completely dark and we had to use our cell phones as flashlights. It was a bit creepy. I'm not sure what I would have done if I was alone in that situation. Power was restored by morning although I was secretly hoping it would still be out so I could take a personal day.
And we had the great pleasure of cat sitting this week. This is Rosie and she is a kitten. She really is quite adorable and we had fun with her but are fine that she is leaving tonight. ;) The first night she wanted to sleep on our heads. One night of no sleep was all we could take. All subsequent nights we made a bed for her and stuck her in the office and shut the door. She cried for a few minutes and then was fine. She loved to play and it was fun making her chase things. But pretty much we are not cat people. I'm sure we will watch her again but are glad she is not a permanent fixture.
She wanted to be right next to me all day while I was working. It was either here or on my lap, the entire day!
I hosted monthly book club at our loft. It was fun to have the ladies over and be the hostess. I tried to get Eric to stay and be our server but for some reason he didn't think that would be so fun. He opted to meet some friends for dinner. I'm pretty sure he made the right choice. When he got back there were conversations of breast feeding going on. :)
The weekend was relaxing and more relaxing. We figure we should enjoy these days while we can. We hit our favorite Mexican restaurant last night and just vegged at home. We are going to take a nice ride today cause it is beautiful and sunny! Happy 6 months to us!!

Week 25
One week before our 6 month mark, we have finished our wedding album design layout. Finally. It feels good to have that done and we can't wait for it to be delivered in 4 weeks. If you want to take a looksie, copy/paste the following link:

Its a great site that lets you flip through the album. We think Jennifer did an amazing job!
And now we welcome you into our world, our world of shots and pills and more shots and more pills as we start our journey to possible parenthood. There are lots of mixed emotions as this process begins. Is this really what we want? Do we really want to spend all this money? What if parenthood isn't in our future? Will we be devastated? I will say that starting pretty darn close to our 6 month mark is the right thing to do. Any sooner and we would not have been ready at all. We have been going down this road for months but this is the time where it counts and things could happen. But be patient all... there won't be any news for at least 3 months and it could be up to 7 months. And if it hits end of December and there is no news, then we are moving on. We decided we had to have a cutoff so it doesn't take over our lives.
Let the needles begin!

Week 24
This week was busy! I was in California all week and was exhausted by the time I got home. Friday night was rest and relaxation night and Saturday was the fun. Denver has a big St Patrick's day parade. We woke up and headed down the street to watch.
What a gorgeous sunny day! The streets were packed with people.
We might have gotten breakfast burritos...
Look at cute Eric...
We saw bag pipers...
St Patrick himself...
A cute elderly couple enjoying the parade sitting on the curb...
And a leprechaun. I'm pretty sure he was a real leprechaun. Oh and that fiddler was good. Real good Irish music.
Our co-worker Kathy met up with us for dinner that evening. We had corned beef and hash and bangers and mash. Yum!
We woke up Sunday to a rain/snow mixture. How can it be shorts weather on Saturday and cold on Sunday? Crazy March!

Week 23
I promise to post pictures next week. I promise. A blog is pretty boring without them.
It was a good week around here. Work was busy, Eric traveled, I got my butt back into workout mode.
My co-worker, Ty was here for the weekend and he came and hung out with EW and I Friday night. We had a great time wandering around downtown, eating a great Italian dinner, shopping a bit and then hitting this ridiculous local entertainment show. It was advertised to make you think it was like Cirque du Soleil. Um, No. It was SO bad that we couldn't stop laughing! We had a great time hanging out with Ty.
Saturday night we headed to the suburbs to meet up with some other co-workers. They have a Wii in their home. It was my first time playing a Wii. We had SUCH a great time! We did ski jumping, dancing, bowling and an obstacle course. I'm not gonna lie. I was good at bowling and ski jumping. Beginners luck. The funniest part of the night though was me showing up with the Frank's wing dip and my co-worker had made the exact same thing! What are the odds?! It just means that Eric and I get to eat ours tonight! :-)
But favorite night of the week was Wednesday when I met up with my girlfriends, Traci and Molly. We hit this really fun dessert bar walking distance from Molly's then went back and talked and laughed well into the evening. Its been so great getting to know them better and being able to expose our true selves with all our imperfections. Thanks girls, you are the best!
I'm off to California in the morning for the entire week. Boo.
