Homemade Samgyupsal!

Today is another day for eating Homemade Samgyupsal ...slurp slurp!!
Quinn, Rath, Mai and I ate that with Chamchi Kimchi JJigae as lunch..

It might be slightly less presentable to you... but I can assure that the taste for this is super good!
After that, four of us went to shopping at Eunhaendong..
The main purpose for me to go Eunhaedong was actually buying red envelope to give the so called "angpao" to my dearest ASEAN sisters who celebrate Lunar New Year =D..hahaha..

I'm not supposed to give angpao as I'm not yet married. However, since Quinn gave me my very first angpao in this year, I should give some return as well..
"NO PANTANG...NO PANTANG..haha"
If you don't know what is "Pantang", google it...It's Malay word... =P

3rd day of CNY- usual day

If I am now in Malaysia, I am supposed to have a lot of good foods with family and friends.
However, I am now in Korea. No family over here and not much friends who really celebrate CNY in the same way.

What I did on the third day is just spending my time as usual in dormitory. Rath cooked Bang Bang Squid for us and Quinn cooked tofu soup with Enokitake mushroom =)
Another simple meal but good enough =D

First day of Lunar New Year 2015

Happy Chinese New Year !!
新年快乐!
새해 복 많이 받으세요!

Since it's the First day of Lunar New Year,
Mai and Quinn decided to visit temple and pray.
Since nothing to do in the dormitory, I followed them to the temple at Gyereongsan.
From DJU to Gyereongsan, it took us around 1-2 hours for the bus traveling time.
I have no idea how many times and how long I fell asleep. hahaha

This is the first time for us to visit Gyereongsan.
None of us know the direction.
Before hiking up to the temple, we first asked direction at the information counter.
However, we still lost..hahaha.

Even though we lost, we still managed to find the way by asking people around that area and found the temple..hahaha
Prayed at the temple, enjoyed sightseeing and a very chill trip around Gyereongsan~

As usual, one place with many selfies and photos

We even took a video along the way down from the Gyereongsan and heading to Eun Haeng Dong for good food!!

CNY right?! supposed to be the day for good food and reunion..
Rath came to meet us at Eun Haeng Dong and we had our good dinner, Dakglabi!!!
New year time...most of the shop was closed ...
Luckily Dakgalbi shop is open that day.. We got good food!!

After having good dinner, we went back to DJU because there's nothing in EHD that day...=3=

As usual, dormitory life is like going others' room and make noise over there..
Went to room 207 after got back from EHD..hahaha
Took stupid wefies on bed with the girls and Face Time home to know feel the atmosphere at home even though I'm far away from home..hahaha

The first angpao I got this year is not from my biological family but from my ASEAN family!! haha
Thanks my lovely Vietnamese sis, Quinn Quinn for giving me angpao ~~ =D
I will treasure it...appreciate it a lot.. muacks

Returning to Daejeon at CNY Eve 2015

CNY Eve..
It's different from the Chinese New Year Eve I had in the 21 years before.
At CNY eve, I will usually wake up in the early morning to first greet my family and then help them to prepare for reunion lunch..

However, this year..
I spent my whole morning time in the bus..

DJU bus came to pick us at the early morning..
All of us have to get ready by 7am and wait for Driver ajussi at the downstair.
So, we started to move our luggage and belongings since 6.30 a.m.

However, Driver ajussi still arrived earlier..
Luckily I done packing my stuff before he arrive..haha

I actually started my packing at 1 a.m. after finish my work for Ms. Hyun Joo. =)
You can see the condition of my room before 1 a.m.
It's still messy... hahaha

Honestly, I'm really proud and impressed with my own packing skills..=D
In three hours time, I finish packing all of my stuffs and turned the room into a totally empty room like the photo you see below..
While packing my stuffs, I felt extremely sad...
Time is just passing too fast.. Incheon Internship life came to an end and soon it will be the time for us to leave Korea. Anyway, that's life. Nothing is eternal.

Anyway, the saddest and painful story of the day is not about leaving Incheon..
It's the journey from Incheon to Daejeon... super Heavy traffic jam....LOL
"Jepkonder"..
It means "Butt pains" in Lao..This is the first Lao word that I learnt from Puii..hahaha
It took us almost 5 hours to arrive DJU from Incheon that day..
The normal traveling time is just 3 hours..
but you know right...Korean also going back to their hometown to celebrate Seollal (Korean New Year).. that's why DJU bus has to come and pick us up that early to avoid the massive traffic jam..
Traffic jam condition at highway
Actually the Bus ajussi brought his friends along in the bus...
At first, I felt so weird and scare..but then I just don't bother that much..
First, I was tired.
Second,I think everything is fine as long as those ajussi don't disturb us..

Around 11.50 am, we arrived our dorm in DJU...
The feeling is like we came back to our own home.. so warm..so happy..
Nong and I couldn't stop our excitement when looking at our room..
I even took a photo for her...hahaha=D

With the light near the entrance and shoes rack,
our dormitory becomes more warm....
Both of us just feel super happy...It's like finally we are home..
Coming back to our comfort zone..
안녕 내 방 ~오랜만이다~
Annyeong, my DJU room. Long time no see =D

First thing I did once arrived is unpack my stuff and then Facetime home..=D
Chatted with my grandmum and family.. ^^
After lunch hour, I went to IRO to check my result and also mail.

Surprisingly, I received a letter from Malaysia..
It's New year card from Si Jing. =)
Thank you so much..It arrived at the super right timing...^^
Since it is Seollal and still in winter vacation time,
Cafeteria is closed. We need to settle our meals by ourselves.

CNY eve is normally the day that we have a good big feast with family~
The day that we should eat good foods to celebrate the new year coming..
However, I got nothing to eat in DJU..T.T

Fortunately, Vietnamese in DJU celebrated their new year eve with delicious Vietnamese foods.. So, I had a chance to eat good foods at this important day..

Thanks Quinn, Mai and Trang for offering me the foods =D
It's super good...and the Korean food, Jjimdak is so delicious..
Trang cheated us that Jjimdak is cooked by her but actually it is by her professor...LOL

As usual, after dinner, I spent my whole night with the girls at room 207..
Finally I can talk loudly...hahahah..Freedom is back =D
