Wedding!

Well after a 4 month hiatus of blogging, I'm finally back and have a lot of catch up to do.  So, I'll start with the biggest event of the year!!

They are strange words to say..."my Mom is getting married." But oh boy it was about dang time! After a very long courtship, I received this image in a text at 12:01AM on January 1st of this year.  Happy New Year!

We were all instantly over joyed at the thought of my Mom being happy and in love, especially with someone who loves her back. Again...it was about dang time!! For those of you who don't know, my Mom and Ken actually met decades ago while both attending Olympus High School. They dated but obviously nothing ever came of it. Fast forward to the summer of 2010 where they reconnected and the sparks began to ignite. All of my siblings and I had such a great feeling about him from the very beginning. There was something about him that was very calming and peaceful for us, so we urged my Mom to pursue it. Man is she stubborn! But he hung in there like a champ. Here are just a few pics of their 2 year courtship...

On April 4th they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. What a miraculous day. The mood was calm, the weather was perfect, and the Spirit was very very present. Of all the sealings I've ever been to (except for mine of course), this was by far the most spiritual and faith building expereince for me to witness. She looked beautiful as you will see, and the day couldn't have been better. Well, maybe if Amelia cooperated for any of the pictures...she was a little rascal but oh so adorable! I'm so happy for my cute Mom, but my joy might be on the more selfish side because for the first time in my life I feel like a have a real father figure. He's the real deal and I love it.

A ton of pictures as always, but how can I not show how beautiful my family, and especially my daughter are?!

Two Years!!

I have a two year old. Those words just haven't really sunk in yet. She has turned into this amazing little person and it's been the most incredible thing to watch. She is so full of life and laughter and every day there is something new she says that cracks me up. We had just a simple little gathering for her birthday this year. She is very vocal about what she likes to eat, so we had all her favorite foods. Pizza, pastas, peas, apple jacks (she calls them new new cheerios), cake balls, and cookies. She is still way into stars, so she was all sorts of excited when she saw that we could make star cookies. Friends and family came and it was so much fun. So, as always...a ton of pictures.

This is her Juno doll. She was so excited to show her the cookies in the oven. Adorable.

This is her new best friend Izabella that she was meeting for the first time. Perfect birthday present!

She is WAY in to Toy Story and anything to do with trains...she is so funny.

I think she shares pretty good for a two year old! Even when it's her favorite food!

Ken came through with the favorite present...a castle! She has been in it non-stop.

Jarica even managed to leave her 9 day old baby at home to come celebrate! Amelia has missed watching out the window for her to drive by every morning, so she was so excited to see her.

Ally and the girls couldn't make her party, so we did something with them later that week. Amelia loves these girls. She loves drawing her hands and loves riding Syd like a horse. So funny.
