Posting

Oh dear.
It has been a while since I posted something.
I just do not have the concentration to sit down and type lengthy post.
Everytime I make myself to do it, ends up with nothing to write about.

It is 8.42 in the morning. I just woke up and is going to prepare to go to school.
I am just feeling a bit bored and here I am blogging.

IT is raining once again, a day ago it was. This is going to be the raining week, and I would presume that it is the freezing week as well.

More clothes, more layers, I will.

Nothing much to say.

Assignments and Project

First Week

It was all about Camera Test. We are given a chance or rather a proper lesson for us to get used to the kind of cameras we will be using for our project the following week. These camera are the kind which are pretty large, not the normal tiny ones where people used them for capturing during holidays. It is pretty complicated I reckon, you have do deal with the white balance, aperture, the zoom, colour bars and tones, the DV tapes, and making sure everything goes smoothly during the shoot.

Second Week

In pairs, we are supposed to film a 1.5 minutes video which has a conflicting theme, for example, noisy and quiet. My pair, me and Joe, did Danger versus Safety. Each part is equally split into half, thus 45 seconds for each notion. It went pretty well, but there were some shots which are out of focus, and there is a problem with the very last scene which involved a glitch of blank frame. During the screening of our film, there were some positive reviews, so I think it was done relatively okay. I would say our video is very different, as our scenes mostly involved with people, while the rest of the groups filmed non-living things and were mostly the same stuffs. A plus point is that our film has some humour in it. Oh well, the focus is not the content, but rather the shots that you capture.

Third Week

In groups of five, we were supposed to film using a 16mm film camera with 100 feet of film, which would give us around 3 minutes I think. Yes, film. Not digital film. This mini gadget were used in the past, it is annoying yet cool. There is no chance for us to review what we shoot until we get into the editing room. The theme for this film is to shoot a person following another person, with a story attached to it. Our topic was 'Stalker', pretty self explanatory though. Anyway, the main aim of this film was to ensure we follow the 'do not cross the line' rule, also known as the '180 degree' rule as well as the 'rule of third', which basically is about shooting the characters at the correct angle and placing them at the correct position, so as to not confuse the audience. It was pretty successful, I would say.

First Night Party

We have our first night party, and I would say it was awesome! I met quite a lot of new friends, and hope to know more. Well, at least now, I am looking forward to meet my new roommate! The beers here is like so cheap. One big glass of beer costs 2.40pounds which is around RM12. Totally worth more if compared to Malaysia. And I just can't believe that, 2 glasses of that had already made me half dead. lols.

ciaox.

Settled down (at least)

It was really a long trip, not to mention that the flight is 14 hours long. Time seems very slow during the flight to Stansted from Kuala Lumpur, but I am glad that I have reached here safely. Reaching the airport does not close the story, what's interesting and challenging are those that follows after landing. I took 2 hours to cross the UK border. Then, only came out where the check-ins are being held, which by the time is already 6++pm local time. The day I reached UK is 17th September 2010, Friday, but my accommodation starts 18th September 2010, Saturday. If I were to travel directly to where I am staying, it would be late, and it is very difficult to search for accommodation at that point of time. Thus, I have decided to stay over a night in the airport, and there you go, uncomfortable night, but it is not that bad as it is. I just kept on woke up in the middle of the night, which is quite frequently.

Just about 5.30am, I boarded a stansted express train from Stansted Airport to London Liverpool Street, where I later switched to underground train to Shepherd's Bush, then switched to overground train to Clapham Junction, and switched to national rail to Salisbury which is where I am living and studying at. It was such a long journey, and I reached there at 10am. To sum up, it took me approximately 5 hours to settle down. The duration to reach my college isn't what that could kill me, its the extra heavy luggage that I was carrying. Two suitcases which weighs 31kg and 10kg respectively and a 5kg backpack. To make matters worse, some or I would say most stations do not have the elevator but with long staircases. WIN! Fortunately, there were a few kind souls who helped me in one way or another. Thank you so much, I really appreciate their kindness.

And now, I am relaxing after such a long day. Ciaoz!

Start a New Chapter

A new chapter is happening. It might seem to be the wildest dream filled with excitement and fear, curious with what would turned up and how it goes on. This would make me the second time heading to another country for studies, but the difference is, the one I am heading to, have an entire different culture, and thus seems harder to blend in and get used to the environment. I would not think that it would be much of a problem, since I am obviously not the first one heading to the UK for tertiary education from an Asian country. Millions have been there to study, and statistics shown them having great time there. Therefore, there is nothing to be afraid about, everything would turned up just right, always keep in mind, 'Aal Izz Well'.

I finally got what I wanted to study, Film Production and Cinematography. Although I know that I am not that of an artsy person, passion would bring excellence. Skills can be developed drastically if I have the burning desire to learn them, so I would not be worried not able to cope with my studies. The location I am going to study is at Wiltshire College Salisbury, and actually is partnering with Bournemouth University to offer this course. The place might not be that city-like or well known, but it is unique in its own way, and I am happy now for making that choice.

Scholarship had play a major part in my life, it seems as though scholarship could not leave me. After being sponsored as a high school and junior college student in Singapore for four years, I am going to be sponsored for my tertiary education for 3 years. The distinction is the former is offered by the Ministry of Education of Singapore, while the latter is by ASTRO, a local media industry company. Also, I have to serve a bond of approximately 5 years, which means I get to capture a job once I graduated. So, I am glad that it came since I received the call jus a week before I am flying off to UK.

After so long writing here, I have not mentioned about when I am flying off.
It is at LCCT, KL Airport at around 9.30am.
Wish me luck!

My Penang Trip

My relative from the U.S.A has came to Malaysia.

We went to Penang with them.

Unfortunately, I could not enjoy the trip much which I could due to some food which I am not allowed to eat now for good. For those who did not know, i did a facial operation to remove what is known as sebacious cysts, in lay man terms, a headless pimple which accumulates at the bottom of my skin. So, according to Chinese myths and culture, I am not allowed to eat 'poison' food which are mostly seafood. As you guys already know, penang is famous for her seafood, meaning, everything except fish, I am not able to eat. In addition, food from stalls also do contain certain amount of seafood and so I am also deprived of them. Damn. I was really pathetic, and feeling a bit 'beh song'.

The only activity, I enjoyed really much was playing watersports! First, Parasailing. Second, Banana Boat. Third, Jet-Ski. It was really fun! Yay!

new milestones

Life is filled with challenges.

recurrence in life

everything that happens before would happen again.

the best way to improve how u are going to deal with it, is to look back to your mistakes and never repeat them again. the apparent problem would then gradually become nothing, not a problem anymore.

its hard to change to what you normally do, it just becomes natural when you come into that situation. the feeling of helplessness would arise and that is the point where you got to change in the way you react.

well, life is about self improvement via the experience you have been through. i am pretty sure if you got enough 'practice' and 'stints', it is not going to be a matter of concern anymore.

KL Journey!

I am going to be in KL from Thursday to Sunday.

Well, the good news is that I have been shortlisted for the Astro Scholarship interview, held in Bukit Jalil, KL. That is the reason why I am going to KL.

Other than that, this friday, my cousin brother is having his wedding, so I am attending too.

Lazy to type.. :p

United Kingdom

My next stop would be United Kingdom.
Now, I still could not imagine how life is like over there. I know everything would be different and it is going to be a fresh start. The start is very vital in determining how life would go on for 3 whole years, which is affected by the people I mix with, and the attitude that I present myself to the people, also known as giving the first impression.

Hopefully everything goes well for me!

My parents are already starting to prepare my apparels for my study in United Kingdom, such as windbreakers, jumper, longjohns etc. It is indeed quite troublesome. There are much more items yet to be purchased later in the night, don't really know how to choose.

I have nothing else to say about the UK, let me talk about the most recent movie that I watched in the Cinema.

飞沙风中转 (Once a Gangster)
It is a Hong Kong movie, rated 18PL and costs RM12 per ticket. This movie is more towards a comedy than some thriller. I really enjoyed the movie.

Next Stop.

Updates again!

Again and again, it's been a long while since I last posted.
There are several things that can be updated.

1) IELTS
I took IELTS on 24th April 2010 at British Council on Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. It was doing relatively fine during the written test as opposed to the speaking test which I thought I had screwed up real bad. After all, everything was settled. My IELTS score came out a few days ago that is approximately 13 days after the day of examination.

Here is my result:
Listening 8.0
Reading 8.5
Writing 7.5
Speaking 7.5
Overall Band Score: 8.0

Well, I am extremely satisfied with the result that I have achieved. Well done!

2) Tuition work
For those who did not know, I am currently teaching tuition. Amazingly and unexpectedly, I am teaching all different levels of major examinations in Malaysia, except STPM, that is a student for UPSR, 5 students for PMR and a student for SPM. In addition, I am also teaching a form 1 student. Hence, I have 8 students altogether. I was like 'wow', I never had expected myself to teach tuition, also with a handful of students. The experience of a teacher is actually quite different from a student point of view, OBVIOUSLY! haha. It takes much patience to teach well, if you are frustrated with the student, the teaching would get worse. On another note, teaching time goes faster as compared to learning. As a teacher, you would think that there is not enough time to teach everything. As a student, you would think that there is not enough time to learn everything. Interesting.

3) Part-time Work
Besides taking up night tuition, I also do have part-time work during the afternoon. I am currently working in Aus-Ed Uni-Ed, an education placement centre which helps students to enroll into various specific universities in Australia, UK, US and Malaysia, as far as I know. Well, I am labeled as a 'casual' worker which means I would do anything as long as my colleagues needed help. I am happy at work, not bad an environment with good people and good interior ventilation.

Well, I think that is all I have to say. Alright, before I end, I have a comment to make.
My car is not noisy anymore after repairing. =D

My New Jaccky!

This is my 19th Birthday present from my mother. Thank You very much, mum.
I love it very much.
Hooray!

I have a MU Jacket.
I have a MU Jersey.
I have a MU Wallet.
I have a MU Laptop.
What else can I have that is associated to MU?

Manchester United

There are still hopes for MU to clinch the premier league title if they play cautiously by securing the remaining 3 matches against Tottenham, Sunderland and Stoke City. The last determinant would be hoping that Chelsea slips in all her matches against Stoke City, Liverpool and Wigan Athletic. Therefore, I will be supporting Stoke City, Liverpool and Wigan when they are against Chelsea.

MU is just 1 point and 3 goals behind Chelsea. All they have to do is score more goals than chelsea, so that if Chelsea happens to draw with Liverpool, they are still able to win! =D

good luck!

Mission!

I have a mission.
I need to slim down and build some muscles, so that I will not look so weak and flabby.
For the past three days. I have been going to the Gym with Hongjia to do some workout.
I lasted for 3 consecutive days, and I hope I have the perseverance and resilience to continue.
Wish me luck.

In addition, I have been cutting down on the amount of food I eat everyday, hope it will work to help me cut down unwanted weights.

Anyways, Manchester United is out of the run for the English Premier League this season. They are also out of the UEFA Champions League. It seems like there are off-form this season. I think it is time for them to rebuild their team and train harder. My take on this issue is that, if they win every year, there will be no fun, it would be great if they take a 'gap season'. haha.

I started playing Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 recently, and played the 'Become a Legend' mode. I am playing for Manchester United, with the name Edison Cheam. haha. I would lead them to win the Leagues and Cups. haha, just some random crappy information to write here.

That is for today. Shall continue writing in the near future.

April Fool's Day Programme

This is no joke! This is what I did today.

I was woken up by the ringing alarm from my watch at 8a.m. in the morning.
I walked down stairs noticing both my parents are already awake.
I went upstairs and changed my pajamas into Man Utd away jersey and a brown shorts.
My mom and I sat on to our Proton Waja, and went to fetch Ian at his house.
Then, I sent my mother to work at Silibin, and then went for breakfast with Ian.

I ate dried curry hofun, while Ian ate Prawn noodles.
I would say the food is delicious.
By the way, I took the risk to eat spicy food in the morning. LOL.

After that, we went to Ipoh Parade for window shopping.
Looked at many nice clothes and nice shoes.
I love the Man Utd jacket! I would buy that one day!
I also bought a new wallet to replace the stolen one.
Guess what, I got one with a Man Utd logo on it.
LOL... i am a crazy MU fan!

We left Ipoh Parade for a CD shop near my house.
We looked for several movies but in the end, they said no stock.
So, only Ian bought his '21'.

Then, we went to fetch my mum back from work and return home.
Afterwards, we plan to have lunch, so while deciding,I drove us to Tesco and walk.
We walked the whole tesco, looking at TVs and stuffs.
Also, we went to play the basketball machine, Ian threw a ball from far and unfortunately hit a small girl. The father of the girl came and scold me, thinking that I was the one who threw the ball. OMG... i am perfectly innocent.
So then, we quickly leave Tesco.

Finally, we head to Inn Cafe near my house for our lunch.
I ate Lamb Chop with mint sauce.
Not bad I would say.

After lunch, we went back to my home and watched Sherlock Holmes. Honestly speaking, the front part was quite boring. I was about to sleep half way through already. The part that is exciting is during the slow motion replays and the part where Sherlock explains the mysteries.
Spent some time in my house, then i sent him back and went to refill fuel of my car.

I came back and then went to bathe directly, preparing to go out for a gathering with my ex-classmates in Poi Lam few years back. The venue was in Greentown Old Town Ipoh Kopitiam. I didn't know it shifted. I only knew where it used to be. So, I had a hard time finding where they shifted to. Calling for help, and took me 20+ minutes to reach. LOL. I met quite a lot of people there, even with friends who never seen for a few years. We later switched location when another two friends joined us, we went to Moven Peak. Siew Weng drove my car, and I found that his driving is really very horrifying. I can't put into words to describe the situation. You can feel it if you are seating in the car.

After the gathering, we went separate ways back to our own homes.
*I missed quite alot of details, too lazy to type them, i think i need patience.!*

April Fool's Day

An hour more to April Fool's Day!

Mysterious Case

Investigation Report of a Robbery Case

Venue: Cheam's Residence
Suspected time: 5.30am to 8am
Items lost: Handphone, Wallet and a Laptop.

Details:
The only items being stolen are on the dining table.
Other valuables on the tv table are not taken, nor those in the computer room.
Hence, I can conclude that the robber grabs the first few valuables in my house and leave straight.
The only way he can do that is by walking in the house freely when nobody noticed.

=================

I am so 'lucky'.
Both my wallet and handphone are gone missing.
My salary is in my wallet, my driving licence too.
Does it mean that I can't drive?
RRAAHH....

Updates

Okay Loo Ting. I will update my blog.

I just came back from Kuala Lumpur.
I went down to KL on Saturday, celebrating my uncle's 61st birthday.
The venue was at Swiss Garden and we had buffet dinner.
There are many food variety in the buffet, one that got the most attraction was the seafood, especially the clamps and fresh salmon. There are numerous types of food, that much till I lost count. I don't even have the chance to eat everything. Too lazy to pick up every single dish.
However, I ate quite a lot and I think I am getting fat by stuffing food into my stomach.
Anyway, if I am not mistaken, the price was RM30++ per pax, and there is a buy 1 free 1, thus quite reasonable especially with the amount of food we have consumed.

Later, we went to visit the new unfurnished penthouse of my uncle. I can say that the concept was relatively impressive. We were already quite sleepy over there, HAHA. So, we went back home. After my parents went to bed, my sister and I watch a movie. I chose 'Slumdog Millionaire'. Although I watched it before, it was through online streaming and I was actually even impressed while reading the screenplay script online, so I decided to watch it again. 'Jaiho!'

Well, as for today, I would say there is nothing much, except eating and singing karaoke at another uncle's house. Wow, I felt blood circulating in my body indicated by the numbness throughout my body. I enjoyed really much although I know my singing skill is not that good.

Then, raining delayed our trip back to Ipoh. And now, it is already 11pm and I realised I have not taken my dinner. LOL...

"Dad and Mum, are we going to eat later?"
Hmm... I afraid not.

Application to Universities

Application to University is a tough job.
My advice to future applicants is to settle everything even when you're still studying.
I was naive to believe that I could do it once I graduated, but then most application has their deadline over.

Plan early.

Update again!

It has been a long time since I updated my blog again. I lost count to mentioning this statement over and over again. I just don't have the persistence to update my blog regularly.

The last post was about receiving my 'A' Levels results.
I am now working towards applying universities.
I am still doubtful where my future lies, but I wish the best to myself.
I am sure about the course I am taking, and I am currently researching which university offer the best for that course. Hopefully, I would manage to find the one that serve the best of my needs.

To those who do not know, I am actually taking a film production degree.
I hope that everything goes well and what I projected would eventually come true.

On the time being, watching lots of exciting dramas and movies, really enjoying my time.

Febulous February.

The night when we were waiting for the new year, 2010 was just like yesterday. In a glimpse, it is February, which is also the month where we celebrate the auspicious Lunar New Year which happens to fall on Valentine's Day.

The month, February marks the start of me getting my first ever job, tuition tutor. My motto for being a tutor is to assist these students to be able to score better grades in their subjects. The first day of work isn't that bad after all. I realised that being a teacher is really difficult as teaching something that you already know very well to someone who do not have a gist of anything is really tough. I'm in fear that they wouldn't understand what I am teaching as I know it is correct but I don't know whether they absorbed them or not. Besides, planning the whole session requires much effort too.

Being a student, you realised that the lesson duration is way too long. However, being a teacher, you feel that the lesson duration is way too short. This is in fact an interesting fact.

I will make an effort to help my students.

Tuesday, February 02, 2010

Feb

Finally its February.
Lunar New Year is around the corner.

By the way, I am starting work tomorrow as a tuition teacher.
I am trying to remain cool now, there is a lot of preparation to be done.
I don't want to be a useless teacher.

Hi my sweetheart

This Taiwanese Drama has officially released all of its episodes, all together 14 of them. It was fun and exciting watching the drama. I really enjoyed very much. On the other hand, I realised that more and more shows have plots that are related to memory loss after an incident which always are the cause of the separation between two love ones. And of course, this would seldom happen in the real world, at least I never heard of related incidences. In a more professional point of view, the movie industry has work to do and find some new and fresh creative storylines for these movies and dramas to be more unconventional. After all the serious stuffs I said, I would say that I liked this movie, partly because of Show Luo's appearance and his acting. =)

E.U

I have recently finished this drama series, I would say quite nice a storyline, but frankly I have seen many similar plots already.

Dubai Trip

After a couple of days, I am finally back from my vacation destination - Dubai, UAE.

It was quite an enriching four full days experience. I won't be writing the full programme in my blog as I know that I will take a long time to write and I do not have the patience and perseverance to finish writing every single exact detail. Hence, I will be writing a summary of the whole trip.

I went to Dubai with my sister and her best friend to visit my aunt living there and conveniently visit the places over there. I took AirAsia there, Airbus A380, I think that the plane is new as there is a mini screen in front of every seat. Although it is not free to use it to watch videos, play games and listening to music, but it is free to chat with any passenger on board. I had a great time chatting with strangers, talking about the destination we are about to head.

Anyway, we went to many nice places such as the Atlantis, Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa, Emirates Palace, Desert Safari and so on. It was so much a great experience and words can't be written to describe them. Also, I am proud to say that I was on the world's tallest building. Isn't that great? Haha... My sister even jokingly said that we better go up before it goes down like the one that went down before, you know what I am referring to.

In addition, the food there are really delicious, really really good. I guess I put on alot of weight! haha....

For the photos, please find them on facebook, but i wont be uploading them that soon. Really lazy to do that. =P

Waiting

I am pretty bored now.
I am waiting for the drama series which I am going to watch a while later.
I am streaming it on YouTube.
It is called Autumn's Concerto, 下一站, 幸福, Heard that it was nice, and I was pretty attracted to the synopsis that was shown in dramawiki.

Off I go now! TATA!

The Days with much fun

I have not been updating my blog again.
No worries, I am doing it now.
It has been a long time, a week ago since the last post, and many things have happened which are to be told in this post.
Let me start all the way to last Saturday.

Saturday, January 09,2010
My family (Dad, Mum and me)heads to Kuala Lumpur. We reached our condominium (Setapak Ria) to put down our maid and unload our luggages. After then, they took me to Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre at KLCC for an education fair organised by the Star newspaper company. I was looking around all the random colleges, local or overseas. I just know, I only have affinity with overseas universities. My intention is now clear, I would go overseas to proceed my tertiary education. Well, if circumstances do not comply, I would have to take the twinning programme, with 1 year in Malaysia and 2 years overseas. I have a particularly liking with Ireland, everything that associates with her. After the ed-fair, we went to Mandarin Oriental to pick up my sister from work and we headed to this Steamboat shop at Puchong to dine with my father's X-Trail gang, particularly for a pre-'farewell party' for Ken who is migrating to Canada. Well, my father jokingly commented that I could stay in his place if I admit to Canadian Universities. After a stomach-full dinner, we went to pick up my friend, Yi Hang from his house at Subang Jaya. He is coming with me back to Ipoh and so, followed me back earlier and stayed a night in Setapak Ria. We both slept at the living room. A doctor-to-be will be much of help if I am diagnose to any illness, no worries ahead in the future. (He is studying medicine at IMU.) Cool! ^^

Woke up, wash up and dress nicely. We are preparing to go to ACIM (A Course In Miracles), a spiritual talk that my parents attend to. They brought along my sister and me for quite a few sessions and this time round, Yi Hang followed us. The spiritual talk given by Doctor Aaron has been enlightening and he never fails to crack some funny jokes. Well, I was kind of afraid of bringing Yi Hang there as I was scared that it would bore him, scare him or he would not accept the 'teachings'. But, I guess my concerns is not necessary and that is good. The talk lasts from 9 am to 5 pm. And so, after the talk, we went back to the condominium and pick up our luggages and maid before we head back to Ipoh. On the way back, we stopped at Tanjung Malim to eat Claypot Chicken Rice. It is late at night when we reached home, but we caught a movie called Moulin Rouge acted by Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor, it is a worth-watching musical-genre movie. We went to sleep at my room after that.

Did the usual morning routine. We went out for breakfast with Burger (David Liou) and his distant-cousin sister (Pui Yi) which we find their relationship often amusing, we know what we observed, i'm sorry I'm posting here but do not worry, nobody reads. This designer-to-be brought us to Bentong Pasar to eat breakfast, and I think we kena pun, RM7 per pax, not possible. The food was relatively okay, in my opinion. Later, we drove to Kinta City Jaya Jusco and caught a movie, named Old Dogs. Well, the movie was very hilarious, worth watching if you are really into comedy movies. Before the movie, we played the basketball shooting machine in the arcade. After the movie, we played 2 games of pool at the roof top entertainment centre. I lost to Burger in the Bball Shooting. As for pool, Pui Yi and Burger paired up while Yi Hang and me paired up. We lost the first game and we won the first game. However, we won by luck i think, Burger shot the black ball in the pocket but fortunately to us, the cue ball went in to the other pocket and so we won. After that, we drove back to my house where we played 4 people mahjong. I couldn't believe that I did not win a single game at all. Totally none! *Ring Ring* 'We reached and we're not at this place called Medan Gopeng'. Yeah, he is my roomate, Loo Ting. Ziang and he just reached Ipoh from Johor Bahru, apparently Ziang went to Johor Bahru the night before from Singapore and by the way, Ziang is from Petaling Jaya. Well, I wanted to win at least a game before I go fetch them, but if I really waited to win, I wouldn't know what time is it going to be. So, here we go to pick up the 2 Aeronautical Engineer-to-be back to our house and we continued playing mahjong. And then, only I managed to win a few games, and so I thought, finally all the good luck has arrived! We actually have not take our lunch by the way. Anyway, we had our first dinner together, My Dad, My Mum, Me, Loo Ting, Yi Hang, Ziang, Burger and Pui Yi went to a Steamboat Restaurant called the "World of Charcoal" (direct translation from the chinese word. We ate as much as we can as it is a steamboat buffet where the more we consume the more worth it is. I believe that we were really very full. And then, we went back and slept in my sister's ex-bedroom, 2 on the double bed and 2 on the floor. Well, obviously before bed, we played mahjong until 3am i guess. haha... discussion for the trip was held too.

The morning usual routine and I know we have problems getting up early on time. We had breakfast at home. We had a last minute decision to go Pulau Pangkor. So, Burger came to our house to pick us up after breakfast. We decided to go by 1 car as it is more convenient I guess. So, Burger drove all the way to Lumut. During the journey, I remember Ziang sleeping in the car and also drooling. OMG... haha... also, what has been said in the car throughout the journey, don't have to be reflected here i presume, but it is okay talking about those stuffs and I don't really mind since it is really the past. We reached Lumut at around 11.30am and we went to buy 12.30pm ferry tickets from Lumut to Pangkor. We ate lunch which I think it is a mushroom sauce spaghetti cooked by Pui Yi, we laid down a floor mat on the ground near the children's playground to have our lunch. AND... it is almost 12.30pm, we are going to be late. OHMYGOD! I quickly bought the car park coupon while they went back to the car to get our stuffs and we ran to the jetty and afraid missing the ferry. Well, we caught the ferry and realised that the tickets we bought are for all the ferry that departs every 30 minutes and the ferry we board was the 1pm shift. haha...lol... Some tips to people who wants to go Pulau Pangkor, for the ferry, please purchase the first one which is at the utmost right as that ferry is the best among there. And so, we reached Pangkor Island finally. We rented a car, a proton Saga for RM60 for the rest of the day and paid RM10 for fuel. We chose to rent a car instead of taking a cab as it costs RM60 for 2 hours, but I think I should try them next time if I happened to return there, I think there is still more room for bargaining. And I will definitely go try one of the resorts, and I would go Pangkor Laut. The driving course in Pangkor Island totally freak me out, it is like a mini Cameron Highlands when we went up and down the hill, the roads are extremely narrow! But, it is a good training, and I learnt how to cross huge and tall road bumps! So, after a round of driving, i'm half scared and I let Burger take over the driving. haha... We went to see the Dutch Fort and the Historical Rock and ended up looking at some old buildings and 2 big stones, such funny attractions. By the way, Burger drove the car into a drain haha, luckily it wasn't me, I still have a clean record of driving! Anyway, we went to the beach at Teluk Hipah, which is the best beach you can find in Pangkor Island, excluding the private beaches owned by the resorts. The sand is white and nice, when our feet stepped on to the sand, we can feel the warmness, damn shiok. After a few minutes, we took off our T-Shirt and went into the sea. It has been a long time since I stepped into liquid grounds. The sea water was quite warm at first until you go deeper, you can feel the coolness. Very nice feeling indeed. At the beach, we tried catching fishes, haha, but we failed. All kinds of tactics failed, including to the extent of using our T-shirt as a fishing net. LOL. After that, we rented a volleyball at RM3 discounted from RM5. We played volleyball and then beach soccer. The beach soccer was an entirely different experience, especially when the beach is not on horizontal grounds but it is a 30 degrees slope. haha...good training for soccer. Well, only me, Loo Ting, Yi Hang and Ziang went down to the sea, leaving behind Burger and Pui Yi on the beach having a nap on a mat. At around 6pm, we left Pangkor Island, taking a ferry back to Lumut. This time round we took the ferry which has a balcony like location for us to stand. It was really nice and windy when feeling the breeze onto us when the ferry is moving. It was really nice. So comfortable. After that, we had a bath for RM1 in Lumut and head home. On the way back, we had our dinner at Bei Jing Restaurant in Sitiawan, I would say the food there is not bad. Once we reached home, we continued playing mahjong and then went to sleep.

Routine wake up stuffs and had breakfast at home. After that, we headed to the Ipoh Railway Station, the directions are aided by Yi Hang with the help of an Ipoh Map, and I just realised how am I not good with the roads and buildings in Ipoh. After we bought the tickets, we proceed to our next destination, Lost World of Tambun at Sunway Ciry, Tambun. The entrance fee was RM30. I didn't know that the Lost World has renovated, they added an indoor beach sand filled with really white and fine sand, really nice. We are able to play volleyball or beach soccer but unfortunately we did not bring our own ball and didn't want to rent one. We played all the slides, swam at the wavepool, went to the children's pool, travel walk around the water path, played the pirate ship as well as an aeroplane-like machine for us to dry up the water on us. Also, we went to the Petty Zoo to take pictures with the animals as well as holding onto them, i touch Python Snake! LOL.... I was really really scared. A bird landed on my arm, and i think they have particularly good affinity with me. We ate some snacks in Lost World, I ate Spicy Tuna Waffle and Cheesy Dress Potato Wedges. Also, we got chase by goose in there, haha, it was really a funny incident. We stayed there until 6pm when it closes, but should have taken more photographs with the animals there. After that, we went to Giant nearby to buy raw food for BBQ later. And so, we went back home and have our BBQ dinner with Burger and his cousin joining us. After that, we played mahjong again until we slept again.

Routine wake up session. We and my parents went out to eat Dim Sum at FuSan in town. It is quite a renown place in Ipoh, but the food isn't particularly good, its more of its brand name. There are other dim sum places better in Ipoh. After that, I brought them to buy Heong Peng and other food to be brought back to their home. After buying all the food, I brought them to find DVDs to watch at home, Sherlock Holmes, but unfortunately the shophouse was not open. We drank some tea in a Mamak Stall beside before we went back home to play Texas Hold'Em Poker with Mahjong Chips and Mahjong. Yi Hang is the big winner, he wins both games. And I'm lousy like shit. HAHA... We ate dinner first, and Uncle Ben happened to come to our house and chat many stuffs which are funny and interesting, all about the past and all. After that, we wanted to go Pasar Malam to buy Smelly Tofu but unfortunately it closed before we reached, but managed to get a few DVDs to watch at home. So, we went home and watch 2 movies, The Producers and American Pie 7. LOL.. and went to bed after that

Routine wake up, but this time we woke up at around 10.30am. We ate breakfast at home and then we played Texas Hold'em Poker again until around 1.15pm. After that, we went to pick up Burger and his cousin, together we went to Cheng Kiat's house to play basketball as well as visiting his mansion. We left the place at around 5pm, and we were really late for the train as we still need to rush back home to collect our luggages. So, we quickly went back and pack our stuffs before my parents take us to the station and departed. We reached KL at 9pm and we parted our ways. I took a LRT to Wangsa Maju and then a cab to the condo.

Here I am blogging in KL at my condominium.

Finished 2 drama series!

For both drama series, I would say 'not bad'. As a movie lover, it really doesn't matter whether one is nice or not. Completed them in 1 week time. I guess the rest of the time would be put into enjoying the holidays!

First Post of the Year!

Happy New Year to the peeps who visits my blog frequently!

It has been really a great start for this year and I hope there is more to come and everything would be wonderful and fine.

Recently, just two days ago, on the 3rd of January 2010. I board the 10pm bus to Singapore for a 2 days outing with friends! I was picked up my a friend, GengWhye whom he brought along his son, Ian to have breakfast with me and took me to his home to have a quick rest. I am grateful for your company that morning and also solving my problem of 'no where to go after reaching'.

Later, I took MRT and Bus to Hougang to Eugene's House. It is still early and so we decided to play Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 and Left 4 Dead. LOL... the games are so lag, because he is downloading The Sims 3. I missed Singapore internet, especially his, as he downloads at a speed of 1 GB per hour! After that, i changed into casual wear before we went to Jia Wen's house to take the mahjong set. Oh ya, chiew lin was also in her house. So, in the end, we four went to Hougang mall to have our lunch before we took a direct bus to Pasir Ris Downtown East where our class chalet is located!

Apparently, Jeremy, Kwang Yueh and Felix were there when we reached and later join by Zhao Bo, Joshua and Zeng Hao. We checked into our chalet room, 1304. I would say that the room is quite spacious. After sometime of slacking in the room, Kwang suggested to play beach soccer, and hence we went venturing for a nice and big sandy beach but we failed and returned.

Instead of returning to our room, we went to E!Hub at Downtown East located not far to our room. Actually we wanted to go ESCAPE Theme Park but apparently it does not open during weekdays and only available during weekends and public/school holidays. Darn! (we have free tickets). So, at E!Hub, we played arcade! It was fun playing, for Daytona Racing Game, I was the 2-streak Champ, haha, after all, the one who got the driving license won! =D It was really fun!

We returned to our room and Felix started to explain how to play the Harry Potter Version of Cluedo! Anyway, it seems difficult to keep everyone quiet and completely explain the game. haha! But, we didn't play as our BBQ stuffs came and it is time for cook and makan time! After dinner, we played cluedo and poker as well as we watched a 11.20pm movie named 'The Fourth'. i would say quite a spooky movie and i admit that i was scared! After the movie, we went back and continue playing cards before we went to bed. By the way, Some of them left without staying.

The next day, we went to have breakfast in Macdonalds. Then, I met Loo Ting, Zi Ang, Timothy, Yu Jie and Clarence at Ang Mo Kio Hub. We then walk to Popeye and eat lunch, it was my first time trying and i think it is okay, just that as we know junk food is always unhealthy. Later on, we walked to the basketball court near zhen hao's house to play basketball, started playing from 3pm to 6.30pm. More and more people joined later on. I bathe in Zhen Hao's house before eating dinner with some of them at the nearest coffee stall.

In the end, I took MRT and Bus to Boon Lay Shopping Centre where i took a bus back home to Ipoh!
