That's really right. I am home!
I admit that the trip was horrendous.
Real time traveling (real vs nominal - self explanatory?), the journey took about 12 hours. Why so long? OKay... I left boarding school at about 4.30pm and reached Ipoh at about 4.30 am, so according to real time, it is approximately 12 hours.
An interesting incident to note! A situation that I will never tried before, full with drama, fear and anxiety. Such a memorable experience, I am glad that I got to experience a tiny bit of that. I shall story it here.
I reached my auntie's house and ate our dinner there. Later on, we went down to wait for the bus 160 to the woodlands checkpoint. We waited for quite some time, never take note of the time though, but abnormally long. At last, the 160 bus came full with passengers, there are no more room for more. In my head, I was thinking, "Of course this would happen, its Chinese New Year, everyone is going back home." Fortunately I think, at least there is this 178 bus which can bring us to Kranji MRT, to switch a bus to the checkpoint.
Once we reached there, few buses came by, 170, 160, all filled with passengers. No second thought, I knew all will be full. Instead waiting stupidly hoping that a bus with no passengers, we went across the bridge to take the blue colour 170, which will bring us one round before reaching the Singapore border. We ran across the overhead bridge to catch up with the bus, hoping and praying that there are more buses to come. Luckily, we managed to board the bus once we reached there.
Proceeding on to the Singapore checkpoint, it was quite smooth i think, at least for the Singaporean queue, I queued that as I have the student pass which is equivalent i think. Anyway, the problem lies there down the escalator. I was shocked that it was like looking upon a million heads, the queue (to board the bus to malaysian kastam) was very long. We have no choice but to queue and waited VERY VERY long. Nevertheless, we did get up the bus.
I hate the Malaysia Custom, I queued wrongly, I have a word of suggestion that please do not queue at the automatic gate, because it is freaking long to wait there. Despite our bus was supposed to leave at 9pm, I am still there in my line at 9pm, I asked the people in front of me to let me pass first They replied, "Oh, haha, it wont make any difference anyway, by the time you reached there, the bus will be gone." Me being not aggressive enough, of course did not make a fuss about it, but to follow the line. Really wanted to say, "every second counts, who knows I can made it in time if you just save 5 minutes of my time?". Anyway, I got to respect them, and I waited for my turn.
We ran and ran, leaving the Malaysian Custom, we searched for two taxis to fetch the 5 of us to Larkin. Each cab cost about 25 ringgit. Jun Xiong and Hui Min, reached the place first, before me, Jun Teck and my aunt. I do not really know what happened back there as I was not an alibi. Based on listening and observing the tense situation going on, I think that my eldest cousin brother, stopped the bus by standing behind the bus, preventing them from leaving, while waiting for us to reach. Really need to be grateful towards him, I think without him, our bus could have left and I might be still stranded in Johor Bahru now.
Everyone is exhausted and noone dares to talk about it anymore, let the furious cool down and back to the normal state.
And yeah, I am lucky to be back home safely without much problem.
That is why, I think this is a good experience as I would never ever have the chance to try and would never want to try.
Happy Chinese New Year! By the way...
