Unlucky day 2....during the beginning of the year

Another unlucky day? Definately....

This was another incident. It happened today , luckily it is on the afternoon. Ok...so this time, me n cheng kiat was going to Beauty World Centre. We went there to open our bank account. So, we went there about 2 or later. So we reached there, then when we finished our stuffs there, we went back. But one problem is that we do not know how to go back to school. Ok this kinda weird, i should have read the map for going back school. So, we just found a bus stop that can go to our school, so we went up to the bus. This time we were aware of overshot the bus stop, this time my eyes was widely open, but after some time, i saw that place was so familiar, i thought i am nearer to the school, but the fact is the place is at my aunt's apartment. On that moment i realise that we took the wrong side of the road at the first place. So foolish we were. So , we went back to school, we juz as usual reach back to school...ok the story has ended. So we reached thew school with a happy ending, luckily is not at nite or else i will be really in trouble.

Unlucky day....during the beginning of the year

This was a case which i had encounter begining of the year in Singapore. I would like to share with you. This incident is about a trip back to boarding school with a friend named Cheng Kiat. Ok, let me start with the Scenario with a first person view.

Today was Saturday, Myself and Cheng Kiat sat on the wrong bus or not .........actually it is just something about the bus. We were going back to the boarding school from my aunt's place. So, as usual we took the 157/66 bus then we are on our way back to school. Ok, so the climax is that Cheng Kiat was sleeping in the bus, and i was watching the mini television in the bus.

OK...this where the thing happens. I was so attracted to the headlines of the mini televison in the bus, it is about the results of the English Premeireship League, and Cheng Kiat was so sleepy and slept beside me. After some time, i realise that the bus had overshot the bus stop that we were to go down. Then i quicky tell cheng kiat to wake up. Then, without any hesistation, we went down the bus and we crossed the overheadbridge, then we waited for the next bus.

Ok, i noe tat u think is not even affect anything, but tat time is about 7.45pm. And there is a study time on 8pm that we must go. If we did not go in time they might let us study overtime. So dammit!!!!!!!! After we reached our school, it is about8.05pm. So we ran with all our strength to the function hall. We reached there about 8.20. Haiz that was a unlucky day!!!!!!!! But what was lucky was we did not need to study overtime.

EOYA Day 2

Hello,

Today was EOYA Day 2.

Whao!! Today we had roller blading... It hurts...my leg. Ouch. And i fell down twice. My butt was painful. The first fall was kind of awkward, where the coach ask us to glide with legs doin the open close move and i accidentally fell down. Then the second fall was when gliding down the slope. It was too fast to break and i just 'BANG' on the floor. What the??

Anyway i had fun today, now i know how to roller blade. Learn much things.
Thats all.

P/S: I am packing my stuff now.

Calculate how far the lightning struck

Sound travels through air at "the speed of sound." Officially, the speed of sound is 331.3 meters per second (1,087 feet per second) in dry air at 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit). At a temperature like 28 degrees C (82 degrees F), the speed is 346 meters per second.

As you can see, the speed of sound changes depending on the temperature and the humidity; but if you want a round number, then something like 350 meters per second and 1,200 feet per second are reasonable numbers to use. So sound travels 1 kilometer in roughly 3 seconds and 1 mile in roughly 5 seconds.

When you see the flash of a lightning bolt, you can start counting seconds and then divide to see how far away the lightning struck. If it takes 10 seconds for the thunder to roll in, the lightning struck about 2 miles or 3 kilometers away.

Could Flour explode?

White flour is made up mostly of starch. You know that starch is a carbohydrate, meaning that it is made of sugar molecules chained together. Anyone who has ever lit a marshmallow on fire knows that sugar burns easily. So does flour.

Flour and many other carbohydrates become explosive when they are hanging in the air as dust. It only takes 1 or 2 grams of dust per cubic foot of air (50 or so grams per cubic meter) for the mixture to be ignitable. Flour grains are so tiny that they burn instantly. When one grain burns, it lights other grains near it, and the flame front can flash through a dust cloud with explosive force. Just about any carbohydrate dust, including sugar, pudding mix, fine sawdust, etc., will explode once ignited.

When you hear about an explosion in a grain elevator on the news, this is what has occurred. A spark or a source of heat ignited the dust in the air and it exploded.

Going Back Home Today and FOS

Hello everyone again,

Tommorow I am going back home, so good hor! Ok, whatever. The main point is yesterday. My school had organised an activity called the Festival of Sport(FOS). Ok, yesterday was quite boring but i had enjoyed it very much. LAME!!! What am i saying??? OK, whatever. Anyway my friend asked me whether to help them be the keeper of the street soccer team yesterday. But i rejected them because I may be not as good to block the shots from the SUPER POWERFUL strikers of the oppenent team: ISPARK!!! But eventually, we still lost to them and came out third of the game. SAD!!!

Ok, so what we did today for the second day of FOS. HAHAHAHAHA!!! No sports!! why? Because Mr.Toh said that the PSI was 104. Too high to play outdoor games and he said that indoor games also cannot because according to MOE, they said that must have Air Con only can play indoor games. I think they sumthing wrong!!! OK!! Back to what i said, we jus watch movies!!! The first movie, we watch The 100 Greatest Player in NBA. But we only watched for 15 minutes as Ms Janey Sim wanted the Sec3s to look for her in LT4. Then after the briefing about the NYAA Booklet Briefing. We were given a choice to watched either a boxing movie or a baseball movie. So, eventually we watched the boxing movie. But the stupid LT4 do not have sound system and the teachers were trying many ways to let us watch. Time Passes by....

Then finally the teachers said: "You may proceed to the auditorium and watch the movie as the sound system in this LT is not functioning properly." Ok, so we went. What a nice movie. Boxing here and there!!! OK...... But we did not watch the whole movie. WTF.... The teacher said if there are chances, would let us continue. And you know why we did not finish the movie? Because today is Friday, HCIS got assembly!! Grrr.......... watching until so exciting and ended up nothing...

2 more weeks to Holidays

Hello everyone again. I still have 2 more weeks then holiday. It is so nice. I couldn't wait for the time to come!!!! HELP!! Anyway now i am worrying about my exam marks. My chemistry got 72.5 marks. YES!! YAHOO!! This is my highest grade i got in Chemistry. I am so happy. Now after exam, what i had did are playing soccer, playing DotA and.......... SLACK. I am really nervous whether what shall i do in the holidays. I just can't go to the shopping malls all day??? Lookiong forward to see my old friends. AARRHHH!!!! I want to shout out! Phew...

Hello everyone again,

What a fruitfull weekend i had after the examination. Played soccer on Friday and Saturday. So tiring, my leg and hand very souring pain. But still dono whether playing in the haze is good for our health. Obviously it will la, but luckiliy i am not affected. Besides that, this weekend including the three days, i watched drama movies. I am totally insane liao, i watched \"A step into the past\". This was a very nice movie and i would recommend those who had not watched it before to go for it during the holidays.

Examination

Hello again,

I had intense mugging for the week. I am so tired. I could not believe that i have studied the whole day. But, the examination is over. I am free now, u know what i did for the day that the exam is over. PLAY SOCCER!!! Not kidding, played from 3.30pm to abt 7pm.... What I wan to say about exam is, it really stress people up. So, next year i am goin to focus on the 4 terms of test, not the main exam. Another aim is to max up my ACE, so i can rest a bit during the exam period.

A lame day

Hey, i tell you something which is quite interesting.

Which is this fine day, me, tan yi hang and calvin sim went to coronation plaza.
What we did was waiting at the bus stop. i do not know what they are doin. But, they stone there doing nothing. When time goes by, 40 buses passes through us. And in the end, we walked back to boarding school. I just cant believe that we were wasting our time.

Sad case!!!!

How to Save YouTube Videos

Hello everyone,

A few days ago I found out how to save youtube movies on to your own computer. Firstly, what u need to do is the following steps. You will need to download a program called FLV player. Simply download it from various websites. You could simply type the name in www.google.com or www.download.com. I would recommend you to download it from www.download.com. Type FLV player. And download it.

After that, run the installation and install on to your computer. Then, go to C:\\Program Files\\FLV Player. And copy the whole folder out somewhere you want to place it. Then you can continue to find the movie clips that you want to save from youtube. Follow the steps mentioned below:

Steps:
1) Go to www.youtube.com
2) Look for the movie clip that you want to save it
3) Copy the link on top for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcWt-kgn19k
4) Then go to www.youtubex.com or www.savevid.com
5) After that you will find a column to paste your video\'s URL.
6) Then click download.
7) When saving your video, remember to add an extension at the back with a .flv, for example when you are renaming it, during saving the file, please type (the file name).flv
8) Then click save and save it to the folder of the FLV player, then wait till you download completey.

Ok, you are almost there right now. After you had downloaded. open the FLV player. Then drag the file that you had downloaded in to the area of the player. Then you can watch it.

Note: Some movies or video clips downloaded from you tube might not be able to zoom in. And scroll it. If you want to scroll it, u can see at the bottom there is a small arrow below, same as the volume bar. Those are the one that can change the time frame and enlarge.
