Marriage statistic

Malaysia marriage statistic show that 2.5 million citizen above 25 years old are not married. Of this, 60.4% are male and the remaining 39.6% are female. The main reason cited by the male is financial problem follow by inability to find partners, career, and family commitment while the female cited that the reason for late marriage or stay single is inability to find partners.

Well looking at this statistic I was not in anyway shock as it was a real reflection in Malaysia. Lets start with what went wrong with this statistic before we move forward to the reason of so many singleman in Malaysia.

Firstly the statistic look at male and female at the age of 25 which is very common that most guy at this age is still single or merely just attached especially Chinese. Compare to female, the age of marriage is lower compare to male thus the percentage will be lower than the male.

Now lets us look at the reason why so many singleman in Malaysia.

1. Female are nowaday demanding for same status as man and no doubt in Malaysia many female are now contributing in the work force and even at a very high stage of corporate ladder. This would mean they are also rich. Look at the reason why most female stay single..."cannot find partner"......well rich female scared the male away....need I say more? sorry no offence to the guys nor am I against successful woman....

2. Male say financial problem.....Reason being economic in our country is not that good. salary not that high...saving not enough to buy a house, how else to build a proper HOME? Plus, gals nowadays are more demanding. Forget about 5C....now people ask for 7B...Bungalow, BMW, Billionaire, Boss, Bank, Brain and Body....Gosh, how would guys able to have all these and if they did, most likely they have already been taken by others.

3. Male find building a family as troublesome as they always stuck in between parent and wife/gf. Imagine if your wife quarrel with your mom? Who will you side? Common question, if your gf and your mom drop into the sea who you save first....God, please help me...This is the most hated question of all time. Whatever answer given by the guys, it will be wrong.

Answer 1 :I save my mom because she give me life and you (gf) can swim well
Disaster 1: I hate you!!!!Why didn't u save me first. You care for your mom more than me!!!

Answer 2: I will save you first...because I love you...
Disaster 2:I love you too....But how can you be so unfaithful to your mom!!! (sweet first then bitter scenario)

Answer 3: I save myself because I also cant swim well
Disaster 3: You are useless....I hate you!!!!

So guys, when you get this question, pandai pandai la...answer nicely la ya...

4. LGBT Trend is hitting the world.....Look at the figure of single above 25 years old, it indicate that almost 10% of Malaysian are single...well, not all are straight....Some might be married but just 'illegally'.....No offence but I think LGBT group in Malaysia is not small either...Well maybe government should consider allowing LBGT marriage...then the statistic figure will drop significantly...Just imagine 2 male together or 2 female together....that is just double the impact....Is gaga era..."Born this way".....stop the non sense of discriminating or consider LBGT as a crime!!!

5. One man married 4 gals....the issue of polygamy...Dah lah banyak bujang, yang berpunya nak lebih banyak wife....How the share going to be equal. No offence to those with polygamy. If you rich enough and can give happiness to the 4 wife, go ahead.....But when the single male bertambah year by year, dont scratch your head asking why? The pie is just not enough to be share....Simple as that...

6. Youngster nowadays are so spoilt by freedom that they feel marriage is a burden. Some couple stay for years without marriage....In some country having baby before marriage is allowed. But being an Asian, a baby popped out before marriage is a big NO NO...is a TABOO....is a SIN....gosh, are we still in 60's? Even me as Gen Y feel so old now...is Gen Z generation now!!!

7. With new technology, finding couple is so easy. With a touch on PC or even phone, you can now scan who is the gal/guy beside you. Correct or not? But why all still single? because people nowadays talk to Siri more than the gf/bf....The hand stuck to the phone rather than walking hand with hand with the love one....You don;t believe? Well, if you are Iphone 4S user, I can guarantee you ask Siri to married you before....Just to try to see their response...Have you ever ask any gals the same question before? Gosh, probably now your first wedding proposal is to Siri and not your partners.

7 reasons is enough to know why people stay single. But somehow I feel that everyone should not be panic to see those result. Frankly it does not mean anything major. Focus more on the case of abortion, case of divorce....Those number are increasing year by year....and sometime looking at that, it would be so much better to know that most people are still single because at least they will not be part of divorce case or abortion case statistic...

Now there is a saying the formula for happy family to be follow by man:
1 Wife
2 Child
3 bedroom house
4 wheel transport
5 figure salary.....
No offence but I believe in certain extend we in Malaysia have this instead
5 Children
4 Wife
3 figure salary
2 wheel transport
1 storey link house...

bravo and Malaysia boleh because we still can survive...

By the way, just want to inform you that I am also one out of the 2.5million single citizen above 25 years old that is single...Welcome to the Single club!!!!

Build HOME.....not house

Ok,I know it have been months since my last posting... and I am already on the move of deleting my blog away...but on the way home today, out of sudden I realise I needed this blog.... I will turn this blog around soon.....Will set up one travel blog that will feature all the trip I been and will revive back my food blog soon. This blog will turn around to discuss more on opinion, social, politic and one things that close to my heart which is the agenda of social responsible eitherby corporate or public at large. Today posting is really interesting...Is all about House....or easily mistaken as HOME... House is an essential item in life. Is a place where a roof protect us and provide comfort. Home is being in a house serounded with love under a roof that protect us and a place you find comfort and create bounding amount family and friends. OK....enough of the non harvard oxford cambridge english defination above....my point now is house nowadays are so expensive. How could one easily build a house? Everyone that know me well, will know that I have been in property industry for the past 3 years and I had yet to see any full stop yet. I remember i tell my boss during the interview that I love those house model....I love the fact house provide shelther from rain and shine....but most important working with property developer is like helping hundred if not thousand of family building their home. I once talk to a friend whose father is owner of a smaller size property developer somewhere a bit ulu....but he told something that shock me, and probably the reason that drive me into property development company. He told me...."He build HOME....not house" House in Malaysia is rather cheap compare to Hong Kong and Singapore. I have to say that many investor either from oversea or richer local will own more than 2 house as part of investment. It is true that the house is cheap, but it is also true most people can't purchase any house now. If you got the chance to come across the owner of most property at the newly launch property, you will get shock to see the same person name appear not once, not twice but lot of time. This prove Malaysia house have already been use as tool for speculation or investment. Back in 2006, a normal 22x80 link house can be purchase at the price of 200k and maybe below....But now, not just that the location is a bit ULU, the house size strink to 20x70 but the price tripled to 600k and above. Mind you I am refering to Klang (which is not part of Klang Valley) or Shah Alam.... The latest survey from iProperty show that Malaysian have the highest number of owner that owned 4 house and above compare to Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia. Frankly this never surprise me. To me owner of 4 houses is consider small because I got to see an owner purchasing 10 units of house in just a launches. What more suprisingly is some house agent swipe few units for investment and not forgetting the ever growing property investment company that buy house and sold it on second hand market. So...by end of the day, we might not be buying first hand house, but in reality house that had already been traded in few hands even prior to the hand over of the house. I kinda pity those poorer or lower income citizen as the rising price of essential item would have hit them badly. Essential item like rice, flour and sugar is increasing but what is a proper family if they can't even have a proper shetler. Working in this industry I could only agree that the richer get richer while the poorer remain status quo or even worst, depleting......Low cost house is not a solution and will never be a solution. Please, someone go and flip through the purchaser of low cost house in Malaysia.....Have the authority make enough checking or screening on those buyer? Why is people earning big buck buying a low cost , medium cost or even P1RMA house??? Gosh...why am I talking about house when my main point is HOME..... Look, what is a HOME without a house. I know those who can't own a house, would rent a house. But in reality who want to rent if they can buy. Again on another side, those who own more than one house would prefer their house to be rent out at higher price so they can earn money. So at the end of the day, is again those without houses that will be in losing point. SO think again....Is there any developer now that really helping family to built their dream HOME......or they just built home?.....to me, they neither do both of them, they just sell House.... Remember, is home that you can't buy.... So let rest the case, and we will see, are Malaysia slowly pushing the citizen to stay HDB flat and those richer will owned more and more property.....

Surgery

OK....

Some of the reader might be aware that I am away for surgery few days ago and thus my blog have been push aside again...

There is so many things happen lately and I truly have no time and energy to blog about. Whats more are those event are not 'eventful' event!!!

Lets back to topic....I underwent a surgery last Friday....it was my first....and hopefully my last...

Nothing much to say about surgery thought because I am fully unconcious during the surgery thanks to the general anaesthesia....All I know is operation theater is freezing cold and I have to rely on the hot air tunnel to warm me....I am freezing cold that I start to shake whole body......The Anaesthesia take 2 second to have impact....After the 2 second....all i know is a blackout...

After about 5 hours of blackout I was wheel out from operation theather where I can start hearing my family member calling me....But i am too tired to open my eye....

I appreciate friends and relative who visited me at the hospital....and those who come to my house.....Appreciate that a lot...

I am currently recovering......pretty fast I believe.....so yeah...will be back kicking soon...

Just to keep the blog alive....

Yeah....the title sum it up

I have to apologised on the slow update on this blog and my food blog as my PC currently have an unknown disease which I call it 'unable to detect anything' disease.

Sign and symptom only got one.....what ever been pluck in, inject in,push in or what ever u call it or maybe even 'fuck in'.....just appear as not detectable....

Imagine i pluck in my pendrive....it just can't read....

Pluck in my camera....it just appear...nothing...

so I cant upload any photo....how to blog le?

Anyway, besides from this disease, I myself have a bad disease....Not lazy disease but i have lower back pain and I appear to be no different from any people having stroke at the leg...I can't walk properly or having difficulties in walking or sitting down too long. It all because of some spine problem.....which i m lazy to elaborate more. Anyway, it was healing now though sometime i still feel the numbness....Pull out from some run and temporarily skipping my gym for almost 2 weeks..

Besides that I also have another problem which entitle me a reason not to update my blog....which is I am away to Johor and I have no internet connection. What make thing worst, I stay at haunted hotel that I ended up with bad cough, sore throat on the last day of our stay...Yeah....i mean 'OUR' stay.....scary....

So....to keep the blog alive for a while...that why this post is created.....hehehe

Property downgraded

UOB Kay Hian downgrade property market quoting the lower expected sales on second half of the year. This had lead to almost all property share price seeing red this few days, the aftermath of the said report.

No doubt property market have seen a bit of slowdown especially the new loan arrangment on third house onward and more barrier to reduce speculation among the investor. However, does this mean property market is seeing a death end? Seriously I never think so...

Investment is like a trend. This year people might like gold, next year people might like bonds.....That is reality.

But lets look at the property market as it is.

Property is always consider a stable investment. Share market will drop. Gold is expensive but imagine if price drop, you left with just an 'iron'. Land and property on other side never see depreciation on sudden mode. They are quite stable and appreciate over time. Few years back if you have a land in Klang you might think it worth nothing, but the price of land in Klang now soar like nobody business.

Property bubble going to burst? Not so fast.....Price in JB had increase steadily over the few years thanks to investment from Singapore. Klang valley continue to soar although there is lot of news that it was an oversupply status. If over supply, ask yourselves why property developer keep on building new residential, commerial offices? Why is people still buying.....and just because sales expected to drop, the market is to be downgraded.....erm.....well I am not a economics or reseacher, but I feel that big propery player like SP Setia, Mah Sing Group and Sunway are steadily recording a jump of sales over the first 2 quarter and they are expecting even a higher jump on the rest of the year.

Sime Darby investing in E&O and property developer increasing their landbank over the period hints that property developer are still very comfortable that the market will be expending. Government ETP and MRT project will give positive impact into property sector.

House is overprice....Well, I agree on this point. It was so high that most people cant buy any house. Well......looking at this point, it may look bad for the citizen but look at the sector itself, more people will end up renting house. That mean rental income will come into picture and more people are keen on property investment. True? Moreover even our house is overpriced, please look at the south (singapore) and north (HK and Japan).......you will feel so much relieve that we do not need to cramp into small house and still paying double or triple of the house price!!!!

Government plan to increase control on house loan.....erm, I have no comment on that. See it positively, if increase control mean reduce probability of bubble burst....Wasn't that something good....Anyway, that is just plan....Plan can always get scraped.

So no worries.......

Well, the reason I blog about this today is I saw SP Setia price reach as low as 3.09....I almost fainted when the price was traded at discount and most banks put an 'HOLD' on SP Setia share with a price of RM 4.00....but today it end up at 3.09....gosh, pengsan

Then i search on Mah Sing Group.....Fulamak....lowest until 1.80....I thought I just read on bank recomendation that 'HOLD" the share with predicted price of RM 2.60......

Pengsan pengsan...........why is property seeing red this week.....whats more I am working in property line now!!!

Drive between the lorry

Today i work in Northport at Port Klang. I just have the memories of doing external auditing for almost 3 months there during BDO time.

Today after more than 3 years didnt use the road, I was finally back to the hell road again...

Well, why do I call it a hell.......

First what ever car you drive, you look tiny. Your car is minority compare to the majority of big truck, lorry and even contena carrier.

Second, the jam after work is totally nor bareable. It barely moving

Third the jam even ended up on top of a bridge under a huge river leading to the sea just 500 metre away. Everytime a lorry pass by the road or the bridge will just shake and you will feel vibrating inside the car and keep on hoping the bridge just don't collapse

Fourth, the lorry driver never put signal when want to cut into the lane....They just turn and you must give them the way...If you don't, your baby will just free make up (calar)....

Fifth, the road is full of pothole....flooding area when rain and lot of retaining black water. One trip to Northport, your car will turn black....

Gosh....thank god is just 4 days and not 4 months....

911

911 might sound like emergency number to you.

Indeed it was....

10 years back at the date of 911, something shock and scary happen. I didnt know what happen as I do not have Astro at that time (not even now) and I go for early sleep as there is school in the early morning. Back to school, my classmate was not even 'pat' enough to tell me what happen. At that point of time, I am still a Chinaman guy where I read newspaper!!!....I cant find newspaper at library that day. I don't know why...

I went to tuition center and my tuition center teacher ask whether we can ever imagine this to happen. She say, something big will happen soon. Wow...that sound scary enough.

I went back home and everyone was in front of tv looking at news reporter. I know the world must have something great happening. Less than 10 second upon reaching my house i saw two high rise building (I don't even know what building was that at that momen) was hit by aeroplane. My jaw drop at that moment. I turn speechless minutes later when I saw the gigantic building collapse and people are running. I thought it was an accident that aeroplane hit the building but the second plane itself, I know, something is just not right!

It was 10 years then......Something that I couldn't believe to happen.

I take quite some week to see youtube posting before I can ever accept the reality that Twin Tower was hit by terrorist.

'Terrorist' a word not familiar to us, suddenly become 'D' word of the century. Islam was drag into the picture. It was soon the begin of new millenium of war and hatred. The old issue of religious and terrorism is the main issue for the year.

It was 10 years now....Many things have change. The side of WTC Twin Tower have been cleared and construction of yet another skycrappers is on the way. The true root man whether is saddam hussain or osama or any guys outside there that still roam freely is unknown.....We already don't care. 10 years is a long period....

What I can really hope for is there is no more terrorist attack and the world would be more peaceful.....

***Please do not terrorists my blog....blog kena terrorists by some Indon hacker few round!!!!

World Peace.....

Macau 1 August 2011

My Macau Hong Kong trip start very early in the morning. Our flight was 6.30am thus by 5.20 we already in the airport. Was a surprise that we met Choi Ling who is on the way to China for work....

Upon check in, we rush our way to boarding gate where we were ask to board the plane immediately. Blame all on the baggage check in that take ages.....I still don't understand what the point of doing self-check in when the drop off baggage take forever to settle!!!

Flight was delay due to some technical problem. Saw engineering jumping in and out from the plane and we finally take off 30 minutes later. Despite late depature, we arrive on time in Macau airport. By the way, I had my breakfast of Nasi Darca with Ayam Percik served with cincau drink and pineapple tart on the flight. It cost RM 13 only. Sadly, I am so excited that I forgot to snap photo!!!

Upon arrival, we take taxi to Emperor Hotel where we gonna stay a night there. As the room is not ready, we leave our luggage at lobby and we walk our way to Senado Square passing by Grand Lisbao casino.

The weather is really killing....We sweat like pig and our shirt is wet.

From Senado Square we explore the small township where there is a lot of tourism spot within walking distance. There is also a lot of shop selling souvenir and egg tart. However, be prepare to pay extra as the item there is selling at premium price.

We saw few landmark along the way and one landmark that we cant miss is the Ruin of St Paul. A must visit place in Macau.

As the weather is killing us, we faster explore our way to have a cooling treat....the famous 'kuai leng kou'....sort of herbal jelly....It was a refreshing retreat for all of us..

We then make our way to cafe e nata.....famous for its pastries and egg tart. The problem is we don't know our way....People in Macau is never friendly. We have problem communicate with them as their cantonese is different and they dun understand English. The street name are all in Portugese but they refer it to cantonese....So it was damm messy asking direction in Macau....

We ended up asking few people before we explore our own way to Cafe e nata. We then set down at cafe beside for the wantan noodles. Well the wantan noodle is just so so but credit have to be given to the prawn dumpling. The egg tart from cafe e nata also known as Margerate cafe is really good but their service suck big time....sorry to say that but the worker scold foreigner non stop....Thank god I am not scolded...

We then check into our hotel as it was already 2.30 and we have ourselves clean up for the rest of the day.

3pm we march our way to Lisbao hotel again to take bus to Taipa village. We stop by at Rua de Cunha a street famous for its cookies. We pass by a long queue of people buying cookies but we are too busy to bother as our attention is to find the famous pork chop bun.

Tai Kei Loi Kei Cafe, famous for its pork chop bun located a street after Rua de Cunha. There wasnt a long queue as what I hear and see from most blog but the place is consider crowded for 3.30pm. We order 2 pork chop bun and the so call famous curry fishball. Verdict : Over-rated. Do visit our food blog HarkauSiewmai for all the food we have in Macau and HK.

After a brief lunch, we walk our way passing by Galaxy toward the Venetian. Taipa look so much different from Macau Island. The casino here look grand and big. The place here are not as congested as the Macau city and landscaping was well maintained here.

We walk around Venetian shopping complex and then proceed to City of Dream.....From City of dream we take the shuttle bus to Galaxy. We call this casino hopping. Our mission is to collect the special designed mineral water bottle.

From Galazy we take the shuttle bus to Starworld. Then we walk our way to Wynn where the magnificient gold tree with 12 chinese zodiak performance take place. We also watch the water fountain show before we proceed to MGM. Our last stop is Grand Lisbao casino. The grand lisbao building look like a golden flower blossom in the middle of the city.

So here is our collection of the bottles - 7 bottles each from Venetian, Galaxy, StarWorld, City of Dream, MGM, Wynn and Grand Lisbao...

Never give up

Today i go to temple for prayer since it was 15th of the lunar calendar...

I went and light the joss stick and candle and went around the temple to pray. After placing all the joss stick, i pick up the gold paper and give a last chanting before i proceed to burn it away.

Out of sudden the rain started to pour and it was so heavy that everyone got half wet although we are under the roof. The wind is blowing so strong and all the candles are become lifeless...Except one!

Then the rain become less heavy after 10 minutes and I proceed to burn the gold paper. Again the rain pour non stop and I run to the small area with roof while waiting for the rain to stop. I take the time to admire the decoration and the statue around the temple but one things that caught my eye is the one and only candle that survive the rain and stormy wind.

Well....after few second of observation, i realise the candle was place at good spot and good timing. Maybe this is call luck. Maybe it was also indication of survival of the fittest. No just that it was alive, the fire was burning stronger than the wind and the water. It was so clear that water still dripping onto the candle but the fire is still strong....

maybe in life, we should be like the candle....face the challenge strongly....

Well....i stuck in the rain.....but i learn a lesson.....

My Journey with SETIA

November 2nd, 2008, was the start of a new chapter in my diary. I walk in proud into SP Setia Corporate tower as a permanent staff.

I had never blog about my work life as much as what I have done for my previous employment. I salute my ability to keep my working life and information confidential for almost 3 years.

The journey with Setia had never been easy but it was never a boring life. Live up to the famous S P SETIA tagline of Live,Learn,Work,Play, my life can be totally summarized in that 4 words

Along the journey, I knew lot of great friend who in deed a true friend. How many of us can really find a true friend at work? Not much, I guess…

Working in SETIA is like living in big family, the Team Setia. No doubt there will be masked human around, but life continue for the sake of earning enough for 3 meals a day. What more if one of the meal is provided free.

Learning can never be an ending in SETIA. Where else can you learn dancing, singing, art work, sewing and learn doing teh tarik for free….Well, at least that is something I learn beside from my zillion of valuable work knowledge I gain….

Work life is always tough. Being an auditor, I face multiple challenges. However, I overcome each and every difficulty in strong move. We are in line with transformation of property market and to add value to the organization.

Playing hard has been part of life. Well, we did play hard after working hour dude…Badminton? SSRC activities?

I couldn't’t stop thinking of the day I was dress up in Sari for deeparaya 2009 luncheon. How could I ever forgot that I almost been crowned the Teh Tarik Idol 2010 and the fun we have practicing for annual dinner 2010 dance competition. Every minute we spend on doing props for annual dinner and doing charity work is a treasure in my life now. Badminton and running is now part of my life and blood…opps..sound so dramatic..

Well, maybe in Setia I was known with a lot of name but one name that still and remain catchy would be Eddiela, the mermaid. Well, in my life, I never been followed by so many paparazzi and cameraman. My 2 hours of ‘sex confuse’ status have put me in limelight not just the whole night but I think for years….

Outstation audit was always something fun for me. How could I ever erase my mind on our Vietnam ‘home visit’…From beef to hindu temple….From Ben Thanh Market to Diamond Plaza….From funeral to accident….From wedding photoshoot to polish shoe boy….All this is part of memory….I believe the 2 others guys understand what I am saying.

I remember my first outstation audit to Penang. It was such a great time. We end up to Kek Lok Si and have the asam laksa beside the pasar. Well, sweet compliment the bitter, we end up getting scolded and work till our ass off till midnight. To be frank, I still don’t understand what mistake we have done that we end up working till late night. Anyway, it does not even appear in our report!!! How could I ever even forgot about the stupid rusty drain cover, the frog eggs and pesticide. Well, I know GIA staff will smile when read this….A real joke in my career with S P Setia.

How could I ever forget my first site visit to construction area. Been labeled as ‘City boy’ by then because my legs end up into a pool of muddy water!

One things that I cannot forgot when I talk about Johor, would be how much suffering I had in Johor audit. I remember I was been ask to hang myself with white cloth or even jump into the pool of water. Haha….thank god I am still alive. But I still can’t forget the lesson I learn from hugging a tree.

One of the worst experience would be rawang audit…Well, not the people or work that make me hate it so much but it was the food… 2 of my colleague had labeled it as prison food and for the very first time in my life, I opt for vegetarian food for 2 continuous week.

Today is most probably the emotional day I had in Setia. My tears almost drop bidding goodbye to good friends and wonderful colleague I had. S P Setia is a good company, well so good that they become the best employer in asia pacific beating multinational corporation. Well, maybe is not my fate to work for such a great company. I am just not good enough for them…..well, maybe…..

In and out of the company is part and parcel of human resource of a company. Well, maybe is my turn this round…But for sure, I remember and will treasure every single moment whether sweet or sour in S P Setia Berhad.

Life continue….and I am closing yet another chapter of my life and every full stop, there will be a new beginning…..Lets look ahead, as future will be brighter…

Bye bye Setia….

The phobia of white envelope is finally been overcome. It have been a long time that I have consider to make a move but it was recently that I take the neccessary action. My action would be classified as emotional move to someone. Well, I do not deny it was emotional nor do I agreed that I make the decision after a certain tragedy.

In a company, the biggest assets and resources would be human capital. This is why all company would have human resources department. Winning awards and good branding would not bring success to the company but it was the staff commitment and the integrity of the staff who work hard to bring the company to what it was today. No doubt managing staffs is not an easy job. Thus staff come in and going out is norm in the company.

Well, if a staff feel that he / she is not happy with the current position, is either he/she find a better place to go or try to make the workplace a better place to work on.

Well, decision make.....
what i can do now is....

I wish the company continous growth and success.....

Blur case

This few days my mind is totally not attached with my soul.....I feel like i am soul'less that I keep on forget things and I am very blur...

Blur case 1:
Bring laptop to lunch and never take down from car. Realise it when arrive back office....Then the same night put the laptop at passenger seat while I park my car at shopping complex. When I complete my gym, I still do not realise my laptop is in the car. Back home, park my car and straight back to sleep......I only realise the laptop in the car when I arrive office!!!!

Blur case 2:
Walk to my car and unlock my car using the car remote key. Hear the sound that it was open thus I put my hand on the door handle and open....Open and open still cannot open....So i unlock the car using the remote key again. Hear the sound...OMG, my car still a distance away....Blush....2 gals standing beside me and smile "Sorry this is my car"........

Winning without winning

Have you guys come across lucky draw prizes that you received it but you cant use it?

Well, this can be quite true if you get voucher such as hotel stay, air ticket, cruise coupon, food voucher and so on....

Normally this kind of voucher come with thousand and one clauses and term such as you can only use it during non peak period, non transferable, can't exchange to cash and so on. So by the end of all the clause, there might even be hidden clauses that you had never come across. What about the clause on 'the organiser can change or terminate the coupon without prior notice'.....

Scary huh....

So when you get the lucky draw which you consider yourself as lucky, now you have to re-strategies on how to redeem the stupid lucky draw especially if it was travel coupon or free hotel stay that come with clause of non peak season and limited to current 2 months. OMG...how to arrange trip in such a short period and involve lot of working leaves?

So by the end........you incur more worries....more time to re-think.....and most people will end up let go the lucky draw voucher they win....

Well, that life...hehe.....is just winning something as if you never win it....

So lesson learn: Lucky draw that give out vouchers are not generous. They just want to do free publicity....Hehehe....Am I right?

Tegal Sari

Are you a fan of 'Eat Pray Love' movie?

Do you know where was the place the scene in Bali was filmed?

During my holiday in Bali, I get to stay in Ubud, the place where movie 'Eat Pray Love' was filmed. The movie was filmed in Green Field Hotel while I was just staying a door beside.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me bring you to the best hotel I ever stay in Bali....Tegal Sari.

Surrounded by lush green paddy field, patron greet every morning with fresh air and green view of paddy field. From time to time, you can hear bird chirping from the tree trunk. A morning walk along the paddy field will bring you to more exotic flora such and huge lotus.

You will be welcome with a refreshing lemonade with pandan leave drink. It was so refreshing that the super duper heat of Bali was just wash away in seconds!!! While waiting for the check in and resort tour, our camera just cant stop taking photos!!!

Swimming pool overlooking paddy field and open gym is also available. The staff is so friendly that I have to rate them as 'OVER FRIENDLY'. Just take out your camera and they will rush to you and offer you to help we guys take photo.

I make a booking 6 months earlier and I was left with only 2 room which was available. This is how famous the hotel are. Only 24 rooms available and about 14 of them are facing the paddy field.

Since we have 7 people and 2 room left, we have no choice but to squeeze ourselves into room of 3 and room of 4. Mind you that I have to put extra bed for both room due to the shortage of room.

If you are asking me why do I keep on changing hotel during my Bali trip, well the culprit is Tegal Sari Hotel. I plan to stay 2 nights here but despite my early booking, they only left with the 2 rooms I specifies just now.

We have one 'Wooden' Room with personal garden. The room was for 3 but we squeeze in 4 person with additional bed.

Another room is for the gals. It was a superior room for 2 and one extra bed also overlooking garden with some paddy field view. Sorry forgot to snap photo of the room. :-(

As we check in early, we were brought to visit some of the room such as the superior deluxe, the most expensive room available. From the bed that you lie down, you can see a view of 180 degree of green paddy field. It also come with jacuzzi over looking the paddy field.

I strongly have no regret spending more for this hotel as it was one of the most memorable place I ever stay in Bali.

Enough for grand mother story here, enjoy the photo that won't cheat you!!!! No editing involve. No photoshop involve.....

The sweetest family potrait we capture in Bali
