Paige figured it out!

Turn your head and check out Paige crawling across the room. She was headed for the laptop with her picture on the screen. We had her crawling all over the living room trying to get her hands on it.

And...sippy cup. She just needed one with a straw.

9 months

Yeah! She's been out longer than in to quote Brian. We just had Paige's 9 month doctor's appointment on Friday and she's doing great. And, as we suspected, topping the growth charts.

I'm pretty sure I'm starting to get some looks like "why isn't your kid walking" little do they know she's only 9 months old.

As I've mentioned before, she is super strong and so so close to crawling. Of course she has been distracted by her pulling up and standing talents that she has stopped trying as hard to figure out the crawling. Now she works her way around the room through a process....sit...reach...attempt to crawl...reach..sit in a different place...reach...attempt to crawl...reach...and so on. She kinda goes in circles until she gets somewhere and then stands up on whatever toy will support her. Her fine motor skills seem to be ahead of the game with gross motor skills, and communication on track. She's very good with her pincher's and loves to practice at meal times by eating whatever I put in front of her. Bread and cheese are some of her favorites at the moment.

Paige has been adamant about standing on her own and checking things out so we have spent the last few weeks standing her up against whatever we thought she could hold on to. This past week she finally figured out how to pull herself up so now she thinks she can use anything for support. In the last few days she figured out how to get herself into a sitting position from her belly...needless to say we lowered her crib mattress over the weekend and it only took her one night to start chewing on the rail. I guess we have to give her a little break. Poor baby has another ear infection so she has now had 2 in each ear and on top of that her top two teeth are on the way in according to the doc.

This past weekend Brian's mom came to visit over her spring break so Paige got some good Grandma Shirley time including her first trip to the park. Paige had so much fun!
