Children's Museum

Thanks to Aunt Kim and Uncle Jeff we have a family membership to our wonderful Children's Museum. I have been waiting and waiting since Christmas to activate our membership...we wanted to get the most out of our year so we thought we would wait until Paige got a few months older to start our year. I couldn't wait any longer so today was the 1st of many trips :) We also added the +2 so if anyone out there wants to come with us just say so!

Let me just say, I love this place! I have many childhood memories of days spent at this museum. I can remember playing in the water with Betsy, traveling "around the world" with my parents and grandparents, an elementary school field trip digging up dinosaur bones, dancing under the water clock at my junior prom, running through the place like a 5 year old with Bianca in college, and many more. Needless to say I couldn't wait to start creating memories with Brian and Paige. Today was both Brian and Paige's 1st trip! We couldn't stay for more than a couple hours...Paige is on a demanding schedule (eating every 2 hours and taking 2-3 naps) but we had plenty of time to enjoy ourselves.

Here are a few photo's

March Madness

This might be my favorite time of the year...St. Patrick's day, basketball and spring! Unfortunately, Purdue got smashed by VCU to end the weekend. I guess we will just sit back and enjoy the rest of the tournament.  Go Butler!?!?

We didn't do anything too special for St. Patty's day but Brian did bring me a card, green flowers, and dark chocolate :)  We had a nice evening at home drinking green apple martinis and watching basketball. Her teachers loved her outfit for the day.
She loves her spoon

 Friday more basketball!

Saturday started out with swimming in the morning which went really well. I guess the pool was unusually warm...perfect for Paige! She had a great time and we didn't have to pull her out early. Next up, more basketball, and a visit from my grandparents. Paige put on a show making sure everyone knew what she could do with all of her toys.

Sunday more basketball and plenty of play time with Paige!
I just love this dress!

Over the last several days we have starting to get more adventures with her food. She's had yogurt, "real" bananas, baked potato, cheese and avocado (her favorite).

Quick Update

Paige has officially out grown her 1st car seat...we had an unofficial height and weight check a little over a week ago and she was at 29in and 22lbs which makes her too big for the seat. We are starting to get the hang of things now that we can't take her seat in and out of the car. I haven't taken any pictures :(

She's up on all fours rocking back and forth so she's making progress on the crawling. She also gets up in the push up position and does "mountain climbers" which is pretty funny to watch. She tries to pull up on everything but she's only getting a few inches off the ground.

This past weekend was cousin Brayden's 1st birthday party so it was nice to see family and let the babies play. Poor Brayden wasn't feeling too well but I think he still enjoyed his Mickey party.

We thought this was a good time to wear our St. Patty's day outfit including matching flower made by Sara.

On Friday, mom and I headed up to the Indy Kids Consignment sale where we found some great deals on toys, clothes, and shoes for Paige. I can't wait for the next consignment sale and garage sale season! I really can't believe how big Paige is getting. I took her to school today in a 12 month outfit and an 18 month rain coat. I know baby clothes very drastically in size from brand to brand and the rain jacket's sleeves are a little long but still...she's soooo big.

We continue to introduce her to new foods...tonight she had avocado for the 1st time and loved it.

8 months

Paige currently enjoys clapping, blowing raspberries, banging everything together, eating her puffs and she's starting to wave. She's trying soooo hard to get moving but she hasn't figured it out. She sticks her forehead down on the floor and her two hands with her legs fully extended trying to move. I really think she might do a summer-salt before she crawls. Everything is going well right now. She's eating, napping, and sleeping like a champ. I'm enjoying my extra time during the day now that she's figured out her naps.

I still can't figure out how to rotate my video...sorry.
