hong kong day 1, 20 march 2011

20 march 2011 is indeed a significant day. it marks the 1st time 1st day that i'm gg overseas with frens, with no adults at all (unless u count yun since she was ald legally 21 at tat time haha). how does it feel? of cus is shuang la. it's just different to go overseas with ur frens as compared to family. anw so this day, me, xueyi, stacy and yun huey embarked on our 5 days 4 nights trip to hk! it was all our 1st time gg to hk and we daringly go free n easy lol. but no regrets, free n easy is definitely much more fun than gg with a tour grp, jus tat u need to plan everything by urself. our flight was at 7.55am, so can check in at 5.55am. and i reached airport 5am so early, cus dad drove me. anw didn't slp a wink the night before dunno izit too excited lol. reached airport almost puke, dunno y i alw feel unwell aft taking dad's taxi. but luckily in the end didn't puke hehe. but still affected my appetite aftwards, can't even finish a hashbrown for breakfast =S anw aft breakfast we checked-in to departure. and while sitting in departure we decided to go fb.

and tadang, this is wat we all posted haha. at the same time, the same message. of cus it was coordinated, obviously

see how budget it is, till we had to climb stairs to board the plane one. but nvm la haha.

can't rmb i was assigned the window seat or aisle seat but yun wanted to sit aisle and since stacy never sit plane before she sat at window seat and hence me in the middle. poor yiyi sat alone at the other side haha.

the view on the plane. i love the clouds! didn't get the slp on the plane cus was too awake. just before landing in hk, my ear was so blocked tat it became v painful =( and it continued to remain blocked for almost the entire day =( anw funny thing is when we touched down at the airport at 1st we didn't realise we are landing cus it's so foggy tat u can't really see. onli realised when the plane is on the runway ground liao. =.= hk airport kinda mafan, quite big. so had to walk a long long way and even take those transit trains to clear immigration and collect our luggage. by then was ald 12 plus le. wanted to eat lunch but can't settle on a place, so decided to eat dessert instead.

the sign tat yiyi is holding is pudding with yoghurt inside, which we decided to order eventually.

the A21 bus tat we took from the airport to near our hotel area. costs 33 hkd, which is abt 5 sgd. but hey, the bus is cool. even haf wifi lah haha.

we stayed at mk hotel, which we booked long time ago haha. me and yiyi shared a room. omg so small la. aft putting luggage in between our beds there's hardly any space to walk liao. the toilet is even smaller. but ok la quite comfy and clean.

decided to haf our late lunch (3pm) at kfc. quite close to our hotel de.

omg their chicken is damn nice.

aft tat we took their mtr. initally had some probs finding the mtr. haha

and this is where we alighted! went there for their espirit shop actually. walked a long distance onli to find that it has relocated =( and we felt so cheated when we realised on the 2nd day tat the espirit actually relocated to mongkok, near our hotel! tsk.

we had dinner at tst area. i had wanton noodles, i would say quite normal bah.

we had a hard time finding toilet in 1 of the shopping mall cus their toilet sign is like this! at first we were still tinking how come this shopping mall no toilet one? hk ppl no need use toilet? lol.

aft dinner we went to star ferry terminal to take ferry. prices depends on whether u take the top deck or the lower deck. top deck would be more ex, at 5hkd if i didn't rmb wrongly. tat's less than 1sgd! cheap la.

though tat day was very foggy but the star ferry experience was amazing. if u stick ur head out of the ferry the breeze is so shuang =D which of cus i did many times haha.

and we ended up at the central area. took some pics before taking ferry back to tst.

their telephone booth. there's once tat i called home from such booth, omg actually not tat much cheaper as compared to using hp. cus arh u will see the value drop damn fast. then u kanjiong and throw in more coins and talk faster and faster lol. talk until breathless!

aft which we went to watch the symphony of the lights at 8pm.

symphony of the lights was a disppointment cus of the fog =( couldn't see much. so in the end we left before it even end. and we had our pics taken and developed by 1 of the professional photographers there. not bad, for onli 10hkd per pic.

then we dragged our tired feet to avenue of the stars!

actually we took many pictures here, just tat it's by stacy's camera and i haven transfer the pic to the com yet haha. shall upload those pics another day. anw aft avenue of star we went to temple street. since we are so tired ald, we got lazy of trying to find how to get there and decided to take cab. some of their cab can sit 5 person one! and the driver so cool la. it was speeding on the most outer lane and we quite late then wave our hand, yet it managed to stop for us haha. anw temple street i would say the stuff is slightly cheaper than ladies street ba, but not much to buy there. and of cus we got dead tired and decided to cab back to hotel. tink we reached hotel at 11 plus close to 12am?
