Sasazu, Slovakia

A somewhat surreal stop in Bratislava, Slovakia's capital, Sasazu specialises in Southeast Asian fusion curiosities - this could be the world's only restaurant for a pan-Asian recipe of Malaysian beef rendang and foie gras stuffed in Vietnamese rice paper rolls with Chinese Lao Gan Ma chilli sauce, Indian tandoori mint bread and yoghurt corn dip.

Pair with a cocktail blended with lychee, lime, chilli and coconut milk.

D.steakhouse @ Bratislava, Slovakia

The name may seem nondescript, but D.steakhouse's meat is not: Expect Slovak-bred Simmental beef, dry-aged for seven weeks in this restaurant, grilled in Josper charcoal ovens. Double up on the bovine bodaciousness with roasted bone marrow.
