My Longgg Weekend

I finally get to enjoy my first long weekend (Sat, Sun and Mon) ever since I started working. Weekends are really precious for working people, and long weekend is even more important. I have been feeling very tired after work most of the time, and even to the point of getting headaches, and this is quite common. sigh

So my long weekend (all thanks to Hari Raya) was devoted to exercise and fun!

Saturday - was gym.

Sunday- I went to the gym, I ran 3k and I swam. 3 different exercise in one day, MADNESS! Now I am looking forward to my sunday swimming sessions because I have found a new place for lunch after my swim!

Monday - was the best. Went to East Coast Park to cycle (on a double date! ) We cycled from from 1045am till 5pm! 6 hours of gruelling but fun session, and I came back home red like a steamed crab fresh from the steamer. The 6 hours was not just purely cycling, we cycled to Changi Village, and on our way there, we grabbed some drinks, and the pitstop at Changi Village was a simple sandwich and drinks. On our way back to ECP, the sky "cried" on us, so we ended up at ECP hawker center for an indulgence of BBQ Wings, Tau Pok Rojak and Otah!
Before we went back to cycle along ECP again. We were famished after the 6 hours by then! Dinner was Popeyes at changi T3, which wasn't satisfying enough, so that was followed by a trip to P.S Cafe at Dempsey, but we were indeed down on luck, as the cafe happens to close at 8.30pm just for that day! Grrr... So we ended up at TCC at Keppel Bay, soup, some cakes and some drinks. I never like TCC, and I still don't. After that was a walk to around Keppel Bay, admiring the yatch, and wondering... when will I ever own one... I wonder Wonder wonder... Wake up FDGM!~

sure my day looks fun, BUT... it was not entirely! What I did not mentioned was that I injured my leg, and now I will be out of action for a few days. I have not been exercising since Monday, and tomorrow will bethe 3rd day that I did not exercise... The fatness feeling is kicking in! Gee!

Disclaimer *All the good looking photos are NOT taken by me* as I left my camera in office.

Yes yes! The New Balance Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon's (in short: NB SCSM) Runner's Tee and Finisher's Tee is finally officially launched. Hurray!

What is so special about this year's finishers' tee is that your finishing time can be printed on the tee itself... I better run faster than my Sundown this time round!

As for the runner's tee, the color is the same as before, except that adidas logo is now replaced with New Balance =)

can't wait to collect my Race Pack!

Menya Kaiko @ Ion Orchard

For the same price or even lesser, you can get a bigger and nicer bowl of ramen from Noodle House Ken. The soup base is tooo salty for my liking, and the noodles are not as chewy as those that I had in NHK. The char siew is a shame (I thought). Tasteless as it is, combined with a salty soup base. Will I ever return!? YES! if there are no other existing food-lets in ION!

On a side-note, I truly love ION. Despite people saying tha the floor to ceiling height is low at the basement, but hello??? It's basement... and to get a higher ceiling height would be sacrifacing one whole basement. The tenant-mix for the retail as well as F&B is superb, the concierge staffs are always on their toes, looking so professional. Seriously, I don't see the point in walking to other parts of Orchard anymore, unless it's for food. Oh yes, and the toilets! the floors are so dry and clean, the air is fresh and nice, well-equipped with napkins and a hand dryer just infront of the basin so that water will not get splash around, and a vanity "mirror" just before you leave the washroom. :)

Double Fillet Old Fish

Who wrote "old" fish on the order sheet?
Can I order fillet "young" fish?
I wrote that. Y?

This is purely non-intentional, and from this you can imagine how freaking long I haven't ordered a fillet O' Fish Burger, and how often I actually step into Mc, that I literally almost forgot how to spell that "O".

But this was good entertainment during the long meeting session. =)

Meeting started at 930am, but 2nd meeting which was supposed to be at 11 was delayed due to the 1st meeting, and so the 2nd meeting was postponed near to lunch time. So... we had a "lunch cum meeting".

Initially they wanted to order Subway, and I was =D, but they had difficulty getting through the line, so I was "forced" to eat something from Mc instead. =(

I should have ordered the grilled chicken foldover which was a healthier choice, but it really slipped my mind that Mc offers that. (another instance that shows my ignorance towards Mc).

So I ordered the double fillet fish since it appears everywhere on the adverts. I really don't enjoy this lunch at all. Seriously, What is so nice about Mcdonalds? Yes, they offer convenience, but they definitely spoils my appetite. I can taste the oily after-taste which I really hate. But as for the seaweed shaker fries, I ate a couple, and I do like the french fries with the seasoning. heh

Anyway, I have added this "I THINK THAT" column at the right hand side of the blog, which is supposed to update my thoughts "real time". lol. and "WHAT DO YOU THINK" is a channel for anyone to comment, instead of using the normal comment which cna be quite troublesome.

K, Good night. Early night for an early morning for a good run tml.

You know you are FAT if...

...you ate this KFC Double Down sandwich that contains a freaking 1200Kcal (half of what is needed per day). Instead of 2 buns, 2 deep fried chicken patties are used instead, sandwiching bacons, cheese and colonel sauce. Bless those who eat this.
