So Far Seoul Good - Part 7 - Day 4 - Bibimbap, Jajangmyeon, Strawberries, Kraze Burger, Soft serve

I have discontinued this segment of "So far Seoul Good" for quite some time as I was busy blogging about other events! Now that my life is getting a bit "boring", and I have nothing much to blog about, I guess it's time for me to continue with "So far Seoul Good"!!!

This is a continuation from:
So Far Seoul Good - Part 6 - Post race Steamboat Shabu Shabu dinner

Day 4 - we moved to a new Hotel

Their version of our "TODAY" newspaper - just a smart guess

Nice and pretty korean traditonal costume known as Hanbok.

Seoul street food - corny dogs, dumplings, fishcake and sausages

Fresh sweet strawberries

A lady selling Tteokbokki (Stir Fried Rice Cake) - I tried this before in SG, and I totally hate it! It taste like rubber in Singapore. But I totally love this thing in Seoul. It is stir fried in gochujang-based sauce.

Really a good treat for the tummy, warms it up in the cold cold few degrees celcius weather

and overlooking a beautiful river while eating... the gravy of the Tteokbokki is sooo tasty that I can just slurp the whole thing dry!

and its time for proper lunch... our stomach is calling for it!

unappetising... and we have no idea what this street stall is selling... haha

and so we went to another small eatery that looks good (because it is quite crowded!)

Side dishes - the must have kimchis, and radish

Bibimpap which I totally love! Everything is coarser, the cucumbers are sliced thicker, the sprouts are thicker, and everything seems crunchier! Every bite of it is so crunchy!

Jajangmyeon - similar to the chinese version of zajiang mian, it is basically wheat noodles cooked with black soybean paste. Not really to my liking thou.

Nice New Balance walking shoes...

After a long and tiresome walk in Myeungdong, we are tired and hungry again...

Kraze burger 2! If there is 2, there must be 1, if there is 1, it means that it must be so good such that it can expand to 2?!?!? That's my reasoning. lol

Indeed my reasoning is true to some sense! The chilli fries is amazingly nice... the beed burger does not have the oily taste and the beef patty is thick and flavorsome-full!

and my BIL was craving for ice-cream...

Soft serve!

Looks like the one in Taipei, but standing at half the height and probably twice the amount!

Coca-Cola in a Glass Bottle

Glass Bottled Coca-Cola

Well, I went for 2 lunches today! Lunch 1 at 12pm, and lunch 2 at 1pm. Not that I am slacking, but my DM who happens to look like Pierre Png, asked me to join him for Lunch 2.

Lunch 1 was at Lau Pa Sat and I had Fish ball noodle soup without oil. Lunch 2 was at a Vietnamese Eatery near Amoy FC, and I had Iced Milk Coffee. The Pho smells damn nice, but I am really full to my capacity.

Just as we were leaving the eatery, we saw people distributing free bottles of coke! and these bottles are glass bottles!!! It had been years since I have seen bottled soda water in SG!

da Bomb - Chocolate Bowl

Chocolate Bowl from Mama Bakery

Went to Velocity New Balance outlet to check out if new designs for shoe bags are out, but sadly, the designs are the old ones. Not wanting to waste my trip there, i am determined to buy something back at least... and so... Mama Bakery came to my mind.

I have went there a couple of times, and it never disspoint me. The An Pans are real good! But today, I opt for something more "special", the Caramel Banana Chocolate Bun was too chocolatey, that's is not so good if you can only taste the chocolate and not the banana/ caramel. But GF likes it!

The Chocolate Bowl as featured above measures about 20cm in diameter, and smells great! Taste-wise, the chocolates used are skewed to the dark side, so it is more of a bitter chocolatey taste which I like! But, the bread texture wise, it was a tat too moist inside.

I still think Bonjour Chocolate Chip Loaf is better afterall, minus the fact that the chocolate chips could be better!

Singapore Food Festival - The Red Tingkat

This year's Singapore Food Fest is held at the Singapore River Promenade outside The Central, and with so much hype over Nonya culture after the screening of "Xiao Niang Er", it is no surprise that the theme for this year's SFF is "Peranakan". With my lousy ang mow, it is indeed surprising that I am invited as a VIP for the SFF. So as a VIP, I am entitled to free meals and free vouchers! Woohoo!

Tingkat - The "Gong" flashes back times of 'yester-years' when there isn't styrofoam boxes etc. This Tingkat meal was prepared by Swissôtel Merchant Court chef... and check out the spread!

Ayam Buah Keluak (Chicken stew cooked with a unique black nut), surprisingly, this taste so healthy and proteiny!

Kueh Dar Dar, Tapioca Kueh, Thousand Layer Kueh and 9 layer kueh

Classic Nonya Nasi Lemak, i like the sweetness in the chilli.

Dining on the Tingkay by the river....

Where all the food action takes place - chewing, gnawing, eating, drinking, slurping and gulping!

Durian Penyat - Swissôtel Merchant Court

Sry, but i seriously thinks that durians should still be eaten in its original form.

Chicken Satay from City Satay

Tender, but to showcase to the world what satay is about... bigger pieces! Ang mows are big eaters!

thanks NN and STB!
