Berlin Day 3 - Cream Cheese Bagel, Bacon Sunny side up, Currywurst, Cherries, Ritter Sport

Bought a bacon and sunny side up sandwich for breakfast. What a oily way to start the day, and the Bacon is a tat too raw...

Super creammyyyy onion cream cheese bagel...

The very famous icon of Berlin - Brandenburger Tor

The Reichstag - Government/Parliament buidling

Q-ing up to get into the Reichstag.

This is the highest point in the Reichstag, the hole that you see in the photo actually allows rain to fall through so that it can be collected by the building itself.

Taken from the highest point in the building.

Sausage for the day

Nutty Pretzel

The Palace... that does not look like one.

View of the palace through the gate

Domo is in Spandau! An old town in the western outskirts of Berlin.

Currywurst - The best we had so far.

I forgot what wurst this was, but it was a healthier version to all the deep frying and grilling. It is boiled!

Ritter sports are made in Stuttgart, another city of Germany, so naturally these are dirt cheap! About 1/3 the price sold in Singapore! Apart from the normal ones, they have the alcoholic and yogurt versions as well.

Cherries

and salt stix to munch on long journeys...

Berlin Day 2 - Rostbratwurst, Erdbeeren Crumble, Mo"venpick, Do"ner

Morning was a trip down to the Saturday Flea market. Good thing we spent our sat and sun in Berlin, so that we can have 2 whole weekends to go to the many different flea market.

old tea bag tins

Giant size Hamburgers "do it your way" - with unless choice of meats and pickles

Went back to Alexandraplatz - This is the Fernsehen Turm which translates to Television Tower

I was one of the last to capture these "vandalisms" on the tower, the next day when i was back, there are all GONE!

Erdbeeren, which is raspberry, and so this is Strawberry crumble... Im talking about REAL strawberries in between the crumbs and the bread layer at the bottom

Next, a visit to the Reichstag (The equivalent of our government building)

Then followed by many visits to the museums...

A walk to Unter den Liden (under the lime tree)... There are make shift flea markets there too!

Hunger hits me when i smell sausages... Rostbratwurst! In my whole 6 days in Berlin, this is the best hotsog ive eaten, but too bad, it was only available just for that day... Crispy outside, juicy and so tasty inside!!!

Interesting concept... cycle and drink beer at the same time... Beer drinkers get to travel around central berlin in this "bike" as they drink and peddle... There's no law against
"Drink and Bike"

Boulette Sandwich! The next nicest stuff after sausages... but this is seriously oily stuff...

The left-over of a church after war world 2 bombings

Mo"venpick Pistacchio Ice cream

Waited an hr + for the crew of Transformers 2 to arrive at the Gala Premier at Sony Centre, but I was too tired from the wait and left early and head back to hotel...

On our way back, Do"ner (Kebab) for dinner. We ordered the super huge kebeb to share... It is indeed HUGE

Nutcracker bought from the Fleamarket

Brandenburger Tor Plate

From Paris to Berlin - Berlin Day 1 - Fruit Pastry, Currywurst and Fisch Burger

After spending 3 days in Paris, we flew to Berlin to test out my German... it works! lol. We will be in Berlin for the next 6 days, we intend to complete the whole of Berlin!

Landing... aerial view of Berlin... I think I will love this place! and i did!

Currywurst! I heard a frantic ex-classmate of my german class who talks about how wonderful currywurst is! I must try!

Rostbratwurst sellers floods the street of Alexandreplatz... I eat these everyday! They simply rock! My gf just went Brotzeit after we can came back from Germany, and she still prefer this 1.20Euros Wurst compared to the atas one in Brotzeit. In my humble opinion, I think the quality of the dogs are not as good as brotzeit, but in terms of the way its done, its so much better!

A visit to a new country is never complete without a visit to their supermarket!
Cebu Supermarket

Beers are dirt cheap..they are sold in CENTS!

cost about Sing $6 for this small danish pastry topped with assorted fruits... Super!

Dinner was currywurst... It is a deepfried sausage topped with lotsa ketchup and curry powder... Lots of them in the next few days... *FAT*

Fisch Burger

The owner of this place where we had our dinner was a young chap. He is so friendly! He asked me if I know C-programming as he wants to make some MAPS for some online games. He showed what he was playing, and told me this is very popular in singapore as well... but i have to say that i dissppointed him! I am no gamer!

On our way back, bought a fresh bretzel, sprinkled with coarse sea salt. YUMS
