Sunday Lunch - Toast Day

Inspired by Bread Talk "Rise and Shine" - but darn, my egg doesn;t shine on me, but its still as nice la... with twice the amount of ham and cheese as compared to Breadtalk! Dig a hole, crack and egg inside the hole, toast it, add cheese and ham! and that is it! oh.. n sprinkle with some coarse black pepper!

My own Hawaiian Pizza - ham cheese pasta sauce and pineapples!

Substitute the ham with Tuna - and you get tuna pizza!

Happy Saturday @ Fin Seafood Cafe

Happy saturday cos i found a good deal! was famished after a short few hrs in Marina Sq... so we were looking for a nice place to eat...we considered changing appetites, waraku flashed through my mind, Azabu Sabo was also an option... until we walk past this place! One-4-One for Amex holder! yaY! I love one-4-one deals!

Fin Seafood Cafe... so many fishy deco around the place, so my guess is that they are good for their fishes and seafood... they have steaks and stuff thou.

They have this GIANTIC Tabasco sauce sitting on the table, and ice water was served in plastic cups supposedly injection molded to form.

Mussels eat liao will have muscles! *lame* anyway they have Monday special whereby oysters are each at only $1! But i think there is some terms and conditions ba.

Here comes mine... sizzling hot... Pan Snapper w Teriyaki sauce. It was so fresh and so yummy can!? and then... the greens that accompany the fish is so crunchy and its dressed in some vinigrette. oh ya.. and mashed pototoes are also served alongside.

and here's hers. Pan Salmon with Herbed Butter. Yum yum too.

Total bill... Snapper FOC Item! haha.

Mad Jack makes me mad... not very... but a little.

Before i start introducing this place, let me introduce the burger. If you can see and can read, the burger has a flag on it proclaiming to be a "blue mountain", why blue? i dunno... but it sure give me some blues after eating this burger. Claimed to be the tallest burger in town. But i think now that Botak jones has went to town, their "U-Crazy what' burger should be taller than this blue mountain!

Blue mountain comes with 3 patty of beef/chicken, i chose the beef, thats what attracted me to this place! Beef patties! I was hoping for thick beefy patties, but I was greeted by 3 thin slices of beef. Not only that, the burger bun was served cold. PLUS, the worst thing was that how come the patty is not solid one?!?! Its wet and break easier into piece... omg.. omg... but for the price that i am paying, I shall not complain any further.

Okies! so here's the place! Mad Jack Cafe! So empty... I was like the 2nd customer... also good... peaceful!

Their menu so nice... but food nice more important la...

Check out the food and price! So dirt cheap! This is the only consolation... at least its not expensive and bad... Maybe its just the burger...

Grilled fish! the mashed potato is the fake kind, whereby hot water is added to the powdered type... even a kopi tiam selling western food serves real mashed potatoes that is really mashed lor... The grilled fish was ok...edible (unlike the burger).

Overall, its a comfortable place, with a/c and nice chair + the food in cheap... where can you find such cheap food in town!

Beef Jerky - Exam Snack

What I have been snacking for my exam study period! one more paper to go!!! =D

Beef Jerky is called Beef Jerky simply because the word "jerky" comes from the Quechua term Charqui, which means "to burn (meat)" according to Wiki!

It taste like Bak Kwa without the oil and slightly saltier...

Low fats and carbs, but sodium on the higher side

Burger King Quad Stacker

Suddenly everyone is going BIG! Mcdonalds have their Mega Mac, and Burger King came up with their Quad Stack Burger, comprising of 4 patties. Who is better I have no idea, but what I know what goes into your stomach.

One Quad Stackcontains 1010Kcal! 2 of this burger and its enough to sustain you for one day... but eating 1 Quad Deck is surely better than eating 2 Double Stack, since the total carbs remains the same... I wonder if anyone can finish that by himself!

Mc Mega Burger

The MegaMac looks so NICE!!!!!!

Im not a fan of Mc but if i were to order that, I will ask for MegaMac without any mayonnaise, and add my own additional Cheddar cheese on the bottomlayer and Stilton cheese at the top later together with a ring of pineapple!

Soya Bean Curd @ Hong Lim Foodcentre

This is one of my favorite stall for a nice hot bowl of Soya bean curd. You might find me strange, cos everyone is going for the smooooothest, sofftttest texture. Not that i want to be different, but I do find the not-so-smooth and not-so-soft ones appealing as well. I have tried the one at selegie, it was just so normal. Been to the geylang, not too bad either. But out of these 3, I still prefer this! But too bad, this uncle has a very bad location.

Nice undulating textured surface, with very strong taste of Soya! The strong soya taste is what I like the most! I must really emphasize the strong soya taste!!! On top of that, it only cost $0.60! or was it $0.80? hmm... I think its $0.60.

slurpz.
