Nike Human Race 10k - Walk Jog Run
The reason as to why i named my post as "walk jog run" is simply because, this 10k turns out not to be purely running, but squeezing and walking, stopping, jogging when you get a chance, and running when there is some space in front of you. :( 10000 participants, but the path was too narrow to accomodate the crowd.
Therefore, most people ended up walking instead. and my timing for this 10k run was 2 times that of my Safra Bay Run!!!
Nevertheless, I initially already came with a mind prepared to run for fun la... Armed with a camera for the race, i snapped photos along the route, and of cos videos as well! Enough of rants, enjoy the photos!!

Training August 30 @ Khatib, ended with a yummy protein shake
I stayed for a freaking 4 hours at the gym today... this is bad this is bad... waste of time and waste of effort because of catabolism... but i drank my Strawberry Protein shake in between to slow down the catabolism process la... i hope.
Reached there at 830am, I was early by 30min, CH was late by an hour, so in the end i trained for 1.30 hrs before he arrived -_- But glad that Bernard the fitness instructor with a 20" biceps (approx) spotted me for all my presses. =)
Chest: Incline, Flat bench presses + Declined dumbell presses + Flyes + Dips
Biceps: Olympic bar curl + undergraft pullups + Ez curl + alternate dumbell curl + machine curl
Triceps: Triceps extension with Ezbar and dumbell + Dips + Cable pull down and across
The remaining time i actually slow down my training and spent more time talking than training. lol. After that, went for lunch @ Charcos with DR ( got picture! and i will post up soon), and chomp down a whopping 1000Kcal meal i think... Half a roasted Chicken (big one) + seafood salad + Egg Salad + Tuna Salad! Nice but soooo full... and their salad is freaking big big biggggggggggg portion...

Nostalgic Food of the not so far past
These are some of the snacks that I had when i was still a kid, so if you are born around the same year as me, you should be able to recall some of these as well. Some of the pictures were koped from my friend's blog, but many were added on by me!
KAKA! - Everyone kid's favourite! Inside every packet, comes along with a small plastic toy, and there's corn snacks inside.
Chocolate Wafer - I remember that the chocolate layer is those very oily kind, but as a child, you just eat it...
Ding Dang Chocolate cover biscuits - This was my favorite when i was a kid, cos the packaging so cute ma... lol. But think of it now, i think it taste quite bad.
Hacks candy - I thought this is cough drops that taste very minty one, but how come my primary school teacher give to all of us last time? lol
Kickapoo - This is made in Singapore fyi! I wonder who camp up with this name... it sounds like Kick - a - Poo - joy juice... oh crap.
Mamee! The more instant version of the instant Maggi mee! Need no cooking! I still like it until today... i think must be the MSG that makes it taste so nice...
And who still remember Mr Kiasu Burger? There was a craze over Mr kiasu that time, there were comics and sitcoms on Mr kiasu, and even Macdonalds came up with this burger! If Breadtalk was there back then, im sure they will come up with a kiasu pan!
And to satisfy that chocolate craving, sometimes after school the school kids will go to the "mama" shop to buy small packets of nutella to eat it... yes...just eat it as it is!
Retro packaging of Pepsi. you go to the kopitiam, and the pepsi comes in a glass bottle where you have to drink with a straw...

Ring Pop... This was available in the later years of my childhood, i never tried it before, and even as a kid, I dun like this idea.

Contest: Live your Digital Dream with Canon
Live your Digital Dream with Canon
So creative right... =D
Nuffnang and Canon are holding a competition, whereby the most creative photograph will stand a chance to win a Canon EOS1000D! Its time for me to get a new camera and throw away my noob camera so that I can take nicer closeup pictures of yummy food for my dearrrr readers! Since Foodiegymmie loves nuts and this blog is related to food, the word CANON is formed using 5 different nuts! Cashew nuts, Almonds, Hazelnuts, Macadamia nuts and Peanuts!
So creative right... =D
Army Half Marathon... I am Back!
Guten Morgen! Foodiegymmie is back from his run! timing surprisingly "es geht" (which means not bad in Deutsch! After finishing the run, I went to Breadtalk at citylink in search of my favourite bread!
Everytime when i pass by Breadtalk, 90% of the time, they do not sell it... so sad... I thought probably they will make more for breakfast, but when i pass by the citylink outlet at 9am, they dun have it leh.... so sadddd...
So when i got home, i improvised a bit and made my own.
1. I toasted my bread.
2. Crack an egg over a slice of ham, and prick some holes on the yolk and whites, then place it in the microwave.
3. When it is done, place the ham and egg over the toast.
4. Place a cheese over the egg, ham and toast and let it melt.
5. Sprinkle with lotsa pepper!
6. Totally satisfied!

Army Half Marathon,
Tomorrow is
Army Half Marathon! Nothing to be excited about, cos i joined non-competitive and its a quarter of a marathon... What is 10km to foodiegymmie! HAHA. So "Zuai" right... whahahhaha... just kidding! But I feel like going to the gym instead of running 10km... =| *confused*.
Since its a non-competitive FUN run, I will make sure its fun... by making sure that I am right in front of all the fun-run runners at the start point, and I will chiong as long as I can to make sure that Im the first few... lol... I hope that since the non-competitive runners are not so hiong, and will be more relac and let me stay in front of them la... Last time join 21km competitive, everyone so "garang" and i was in front initially, but then slowly slowly the further I am from the front! Hopefully tml they relac relac run, so that i can be in front! hehe...

My last Yong Tau Hu entry for this month!
I promise that this will be my last YTH entry, before you guys start to get sick of my blog! I solemnly promise... = D
Seng Heng Family Restaurant - Its not even a direct translation from the chinese wordings on it signboard. It should be called Seng Heng Niang Tou Fu.
I have been walking past this place many many times, but I never step foot inside simply because the place doesn't look appealing at all, despite all the newspaper cuttings pasted here, there, everywhere. Until one day, I was damn hungry after my swim at SAFRA which is just about 100m from here, and i need a quick healthy fix, thats when I decide to give it a try.

Yet another Yong Tau Hu, in Ang Mo Kio again!
Why is it that all the nice Yong Tau Fu is in Ang Mo Kio!? Geez!
I was supposed to run some errands by myself (can you see how much my mentor trust me? keke. maybe he shouldn't!) at Ang Mo Kio Techplace 1 during my internship at HP a few weeks back. But instead of going back to HP after settling some stuffs at techplace, I went over to the market nearby for my YTH fix! :D
I have tried this stall previously, and I am in love with with their YTH especially the chilli! Now that I happen to come here again... how can i not eat their YTH again!

(No matter how healthy YTH is, eating too much of it will not do you much good either. Small and frequent meals pls! I overheard this happy customer's order, it was an expensive one... 5+ bucks... omg... i dunno how one can chomp that whole bowl down, served with 2 bowls of rice, and he was happily eating opposite where I was sitting) When I saw that, I was utterly in awe! Mine was $2.80 only, without nice/noodles.
yum yum... So healthy right... lol. The chili sauce x2 because i simply like it soooo much. The sweet sauce however was untouched.

An Pang Yong Tau Fu again @ Ang Mo Kio again
Ang Mo Kio really is really a place full of Yong Tau Fu, plus they are the nice ones. Just less than 100m from this stall and this stall at AMK Hawker, I found another YTH stall at a nearby coffeee shop. On top of the normal dry and wet version, they also have the "An Pang" Yong Tau Fu.In terms of variety, they have a very large array of selections, and many of which are the unusual ones - the very own creations of the boss. So what is An Pang Yong Tau Fu? An Pang looks very similar to An Pan (Red Bean Bun), so please dun be mistaken, for no one eat YTH with red bean bun. -_-
You see that plate of ingredient drizzled with some sauce? yep. thats An Pang YTH! It is basically the dry version, drizzled with some starchy gravy over it. The gravy taste kind of like Hor Fun gravy leh... I thought it taste kind of weird. Definitely prefer the soupy version over this.An Pang Yon Tau Fu is located at
727 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6

Handmade Yong Tau Hu @ Ang Mo Kio Hawker Centre

Wanted to eat my favourite Yong Tau Hu Stall, but then.... its not open for "Who knows?" reasons... so... not wanting to waste my trip down here... and still wanting to eat my healthy bowl of Yong Tau Hu, I surveyed the place and realised theres 2 more stall selling YTH too... out of randomness, i settled for the handmade one.
The difference between handmade Yong Tau Hu and the one i eaten earlier is that:1. You cannot choose the ingredients
2. Standard Price vs variable price
3. You cannot ask for no noodles, which I sometimes do request
4. The Handmade YTH Stall has nicer chilli sauce!
5. The Handmade YTH stall has nicer noodles... mixed with the sauce and eat it... and you will end up finishing the whole bowl!
6. The Handmade YTH Tofu is sooo much softer
Overall, this stall is comparatively pretty good as well, just that it lacks the variety, but nevertheless, it scores in other areas as mentioned above. Worth a try!
