Made buns tonight!!!! For the first time!!

OMG, I was totally unconvinced with my own skills whether the buns will turn out edible, heheh. cos I kept getting sticky dough!! Now I know the trick is springy dough!!!
Haha, before food tasting (sound atas but not in reality), I even told my parents to eat with care (in case the dough is too thick and not cooked -.-"" heh). #noob
eh but of course I Guinea Pig-ed myself first.
So uber glad it turned out edible! hahahaha.
Well, the filling failed terribly though. I couldn't get all the exact ingredients and substitutes failed horribly. Gonna try it again this weekend with a tweaked recipe for the filling!! :)
The buns are brown cos I used brown sugar instead of castor sugar. And prior to making buns, I had a crash course reading up on the different types of flour so that I wouldn't use the wrong one. Phew!!
Yay! I had fun though it took 1.5 h longer than I expected. Happy at the turnout (can be eaten), but not at the product yet.
Baking / pastry is slightly tougher I guess.. exact calculations are so important!!! It's so unlike cooking where I can agar agar and do adjustments along the way I deemed right. :P
Never mind, it's a great experience where I learnt so much!! :)
