Three paragraphs from "Teach less, learn more -- have we achieved it?" by Ng Jing Yng; 24 Aug 2012. 

Teachers noted that the "Teach Less Learn More" policy encourages them to be more innovative in their teaching approaches. However, they said that, as a result, they are spending more time to prepare their lessons compared to the past. 
Another flip side is that, as more initiatives are introduced to put the policy into practice, schools end up having to complete the syllabus within fewer periods allocated to traditional rote learning.
Said a school leader: "'Teach Less Learn More' but do it in less time and yet get students to ace national examinations - that becomes a real challenge for many educators."

欲哭无泪，心都冷一半了，感觉整个人都已经疲掉了(只剩皮还没被剥掉)。熬了一周，总算心不再是悬挂着的。就像以及是个学生的时候，无论是好是坏的成绩，我宁愿一早就知道，我最不喜欢一拖再拖地等。
不是我要悲观，但是，这真的是希望越好大，失望越大。

Still on the road to recovery from flu, sore throat, slight cough and fatigue after two gruelling weeks.

Advanced Mid Life Crisis

I feel as though I'm undergoing advanced mid life crisis.
Now I feel the urgent need to engage in some hobby outside of work.
I further realized how much I missed badminton after I picked up my racket today, after at least five years of not playing professionally. I feel the need to feel challenged in a match (albeit high definite chance of losing since my skills are rusty) instead of mere recreational play.

Any takers?

I might really consider a stranger's offer that I received years ago to contact him with regards to badminton. The namecard is still sitting on my desk.... (maybe that's why it's destined not to be thrown away despite numerous times of desk spring cleaning, Haha)

Ever felt someone could convey their feelings through a mere message or email?

Felt this deeply today. Four simple words, and you can feel the concern and encouragement transmitted through kilometres and surfaced on the cold hard screen of the phone. And always at the right time, that I kind of suspected they read my blog.  

Do you? haha.

This message is from someone who is the second person who really knew the right time and right content to convey in the shortest possible and understandable form. Perhaps men who had two decades worth of experience as fathers are equipped with such skills to motivate their kids.
