Earring Sampler 💗

Hi, everyone!  I'm sorry it's been so long since I wrote a post here, and I'm glad to be back.  I haven't been making much jewelry lately, but today I'd like to share a few pairs of earrings that I have made over the last while.  ðŸ’—

The whimsical earrings below have so much going on with texture and shape
that I thought keeping them monochromatic would work well.  The bumpy blue-green
lampwork beads are by Beth Mellor of BeebooThe fun porcelain hearts are by the
wonderful Judie Mountain.  With sterling beads and Two Trees sterling ear wires.

These little (about 1-7/8" long) chainmaille earrings are woven in the classic
barrel weave, are made of small niobium rings in a subtle rainbow of colors,
and are as lightweight as they come.

I think these charms might be some of the most colorfully vibrant that Kristi Bowman has ever made--so
I decided to take them just a little over the top.  I'm not sure it worked, but it was fun.
With Kristi and Beth Mellor.

These earrings are so much whimsical fun, with Patty Lakinsmith's yellow-and-orange disc beads,
the short stack of blue and green Czech discs, tiny pops of red glass beads, and playful and
colorful enameled charms by Marlene Kazor Quigley of MarkazoArt

Well, I think that's enough from me for now!  I hope you're all well and happy and enjoying the holiday season.  ðŸ’—

Colorful

Hello lovelies,
How are you today? I am back in the Netherlands for work and I miss the Greek sun already. Here the skies are gray, with sometimes a bit of rain. This weather calls for colorful earrings. And what better way than create some with those wonderfully colorful, funky, bright earring charms made by the uber talented  Helena Benkoczka from Areto. I combined them with bits and pieces and handmade ear wires of Lucy Haslam from Faerystones. Lightweight, colorful and fun.

These will be available in my first show of this year in the facebook group The Earrings Show on October 1st. Hope to see you all there to join in the fun.
Wishing you all a wonderful day full of laughter, flowers and butterflies.
See you next month.
Thanks for looking and you know I love to read your comments so don't be shy and leave some words.

Celebration Earrings

What are we celebrating?  I don't know, but wearing these earrings is like having a party on your ears!  These bright colors make me so happy that I just want to celebrate the fact that it is a new day!

Celebration Earrings, with polymer clay beads by Margit Boehmer.
I've always loved playing with colors, but being in Oaxaca, Mexico this winter has made me even bolder.  Check out this house, just down the road from us.  Can you see how the house colors play out in these earrings?
No pastels going on here!  Bright, in-your-face colors.  The colors make me happy, so I named these my "Celebration" earrings!
Do you have certain colors that always put a smile on your face?

Mexican Flor

As some of you know, my husband and I are spending this winter in Oaxaca, Mexico.  I brought a limited number of beads along with me and it is a good challenge to design with what I have here.  I'm still enamored with Marsha Neal's twisty spike headpins.  I used a coral pair of them 2 weeks ago and today I'll share a new pair of earrings that feature green twisty spikes.
I topped the spikes with Czech glass flowers and threaded yellow seed beads onto the head pin wires.
I bent the wires into circles and also ran the wire down behind the flowers to keep them positioned facing forward.
Mexico is a land of amazing, vibrant colors and I think these earrings have a bright happy color combo that reflects the country in which I am living now.  You can view the Mexican Flor earrings in my shop.
