Spring Thaw |
Yeah, it's not quite here yet (woke up to 0 degrees yesterday), but a girl can dream! These earrings make me think of early spring, when the first tender green shoots appear through the ice and snow and the sky is brilliant blue. I love the sound of running, trickling water everywhere here in the mountains when the snows melt, and the sun flashes off of dwindling icicles. I can hear Copland's "Appalachian Spring" in my head just thinking about it!
Here is a little Copland to get you in the mood for Spring:

ReplyDeleteGorgeous, perfect name too! Ice thawing and slowly dripping in to beautiful blue water! LOVE
ReplyDeleteReally?! Is Spring ever going to show her face around here again? With a start temp of -9 today, it feels a long way off. These are brilliant. I love the way you use your materials and pack so much to look at in such a small space. Your style is instantly recognizable, which is something I struggle with. Can I be you when I grow up? ;-) Enjoy the day. Erin
ReplyDeleteBeautiful earrings! I agree with Erin - I know your jewelry before I even see your name on it. That is something special! You have a unique style, and that is admirable!
ReplyDeleteI was feeling the spring air just yesterday and realizing March is just around the corner. Can't wait to see more flowers popping up. These do fit so well with spring!
The music is lovely!

ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful earrings, which do indeed remind me of new spring growth.
ReplyDeleteI love Copeland, especially Appalachian Spring! So I played the video as I was making some banana yogurt bread. I was just sliding the loaves into the oven as the last notes were playing. Perfect timing! ;)
