"I not stupid 2"

Well done Liang Zhi Qiang Dao Yan!

I would like to praise on Liang Zhi Qiang's well made movie "I not stupid 2" and would expect more movies of such in the future

Note of social problems
It has indeed made note of mistakes that are common in the life of Singaporean. Examoples like communication breakdown between children and parants. Educators and parants imposing thier views on children. Taboo subject of sex education. Gang and children issues.

All these are very real scenarios that could happen in our daily life; and the film just made a deeper impression of it.

Social Impact
Raising awareness is the first step that would help Singaporeans to be aware of issues and Director Liang has defintely achieved that The second step would be to act on that awareness.

Parents can say that children do not understanding their hardships they are going through. But likewise, do parents show understanding the growing pains that children are undegoing. What we face now might not be what our children face 10 years later, terms like EM1, EM2 and EM3, Special, Express Normal are almost invalid in nowaday context.

Likewise for educators, having the key is definitely the way to educate students. We could probably use the caning methods on all the students like we did 15 years ago but is it the most effective way? That of course, depends on situations.

Director Liang has paved the path, it just up to us whether we want to walk on it.

Of course in the end, it is the audiences who decides whether they like the path or just think about it and go back the path more travelled.
