June 14th

At 18, I fell in love with New York City!

August 2001, Mom brought me to the Top of the World, also known as the World Trade Center.

One month later, tears fell as the towers fell. I watched in stunned disbelief. "I was just there..."

Tonight, I visited the Top of the World again. Bringing NYC full circle in a way. The new One World Observatory opened recently in lower Manhattan. A perfect place to reflect on the seven years survived in New York City!!

All day I've been revisiting the best & worst of my time here. One thing that keeps making me smile is the little life I've created at 377 Greenwich St. Little did I know when I came down to Tribeca to interview at Locanda Verde, that I'd spend the next 6 years on this block!

Robert DeNiro walked in Day One and we've been smiling at each other ever since! I miss my mornings with Bob & decided long ago THAT would be the title of my memoir. God only knows when my time will end at The Greenwich, but what a unique existence I've stumbled into.

One thing is certain, NYC stole my heart 14 years ago & I don't know if I'll ever get it back <3 p="">

June 9th

Spent the day with women from various parts of my life & it's days like this that make me love this City!
First, I rode in my former college teammate's class at Swerve. She's an amazing instructor and put together an incredible playlist that let me sweat my little heart out!
I rode in this class with Clare, my #FLYsister. We have so many things in common, we might actually be the same person! It's truly insane the similarities, but I love it! We had lunch and talked all things life (fitness, family, artistic pursuits) and both walked away feeling more grounded. These type of friendships are my lifeline and I need not forget this!
THEN I popped uptown to chat with my name twin, Erin, and strategize what my next step should be for my acting career. Very helpful and important reminders that I signed up for a marathon career, not a sprint. I needed to hear that so very badly!
My day ended with quite possibly the cutest human on the planet. A little blonde British 4 year old with glasses named Hero. My kids must be raised in Britain so they too can sound like the precious human being I spent the evening with tonight. She talked for literally 2 hours but I kept asking questions cause I didn't want it to stop! She was absolutely adorable!
Perfect ending to a day of women!

June 6th

Oh days like these just make me have such little tolerance for Americans. I want to pack up and move to Honduras with my sister. Not that life is pure there, but it's much simpler. No one will say, "I have wasted an hour of my day talking to you and my time is very f***ing valuable, just so you know."

Luckily, God blessed me with a good sense of humor and parents that taught me to have some perspective adn compassion. This does not make me want to continue this particular existence, but it gets me thru in the meantime.

Thankfully, I was granted an hour to sit on a pier, look at Lady Liberty, and hit 'reset'.
