AH!! I'm going for N.S.. and i can only watch a maximum of 1 movie a week!!! PRECIOUS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY!!! I already plan out the next 3 movies for the next 3 book-outs! Keke!

Die Hard 4.0

Transformer

Harry Potter & The Order of The Phoenix

Review - Fantastic 4: Rise of The Silver Surfer & Shrek 3

Watched Shrek 3 @ Yishun last week and Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer @ Marina Square just now... my review for both of them.... and ya.. F4 is the last movie i watched before i go for N.S :(

Shrek 3

Grade: 6.5/10
Compared to Shrek 2: Less laughter, less action and more serious
Review: The show's climax isn't really high enough, rather negative reviews from peers and pp as well... the duration is kind of short... and i don't really get hyped up nor got much laughter.. Difficult to catch up if you have not watch Shrek 1 and 2.
Recommendation: If you are continuing from Shrek 1 and 2, might as well finish it. If you didn't watch Shrek 2 or 1 and 2... give it a miss...

Fantastic 4: Rise of The Silver Surfer

Grade: 7/10
Compared to F4: Inferior as compared to the original 1...
Review: Actually, with all the hype on Silver Surfer, he's actually the good guy, and the bad guy is Dr. Doom... how he come back alive again.. I have no idea... the entire show lack a real climax... Booo.... Character development rather shallow imo.. i don't know why, but i just feel that more can be done to enhance it... hope if there any 3rd installment... rectify this...
Recommendation: If you have a free weekday afternoon, why not?

As my journey on ouran high school anime series comes to an end....... time for more animes! these are the next 3 animes i'm going to start watching after i settle Ouran & FMP....

Fate/Stay Night

It is said that the Holy Grail grants wishes to he who wields it. To materialise the Holy Grail, a ritual is about to be held. The Holy Grail will choose seven wizards (masters) and give them seven familiar spirits (servants).

Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker.

The master contracts with one of seven familiar spirits that plays one of the above roles (classes). The master must prove that he is qualified to have the Holy Grail, meaning that he must eliminate other masters to show he is the strongest. This ritual is called "The Holy Grail War".

The story takes place in Fuyuki City. It is a city surrounded by the sea and mountains. In this common city, a shadow encroaches.

The main character had lost his parents in a fire when he was a child. He was adopted by a person who called himself a wizard. Disobeying his father-in-law, the main character has studied magic. However, because he lacked talent, he could obtain only one magic spell despite several years' training.

One day, the main character is accidently involved in a fight between two opposing masters. As he is dying, a girl suddenly appears and saves him.

"...Now, I ask you. Are you my master?"

He contracts with one of the seven servants, Saber. Willingly or not, he becomes a master, and plunges into a war over the Holy Grail...

Romeo X Juliet

On one stormy night, the Montagues of Neo Verona begin a mutiny against the ruling Capulets and murder all of Juliet's parents and siblings. Before they manage to kill her, Juliet is rescued by her father's servants, thus becoming the sole survivor of the Capulet family. Fourteen years later, she encounters the son of the Montague family, Romeo, by chance and the two fall in love. However, only a cruel fate awaits them...

Peacemaker Kurogane

The story is focused on the main character, Ichimura Tetsunosuke, an energetic, short, and very childlike 15 year old. Sadly, he and his older brother are left to fend for themselves after the vicious murder of their parents. While Tetsunosuke wants to get revenge, his pacifist brother is not so inclined. Interestingly, the story develops when they take refuge working defined jobs in a special police force called the Shinsengumi, where his brother is an accountant and he is a servant to one of the groups leaders. While there, Tetsunosuke will attempt to get stronger in order to take the revenge he so desires, but he will be confronted by the hardships that are involved with becoming that powerful.

The anime is also focused on the characters that make up the legendary Shinsengumi and the interaction and conflict they have with one another. For the history buffs, there are accurate themes that resound with Japanese history to a slight degree.

Acw's Top 10 Movies

Once again, Acw Top 10 movies.... the best movies I have watched in my life....... till now.....

Titanic

Titanic is a 1997 romantic drama / disaster film directed, written and co-produced by James Cameron about the sinking of the RMS Titanic. It stars Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio as Rose DeWitt Bukater and Jack Dawson respectively, members of different social classes who fall in love aboard the ill-fated 1912 maiden voyage of the ship.

Jack

Jack is a 1996 film starring Robin Williams, Diane Lane, Brian Kerwin, Jennifer Lopez, Fran Drescher, and Bill Cosby, and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Williams plays the role of Jack Powell, a boy who ages four times faster than normal, somewhat similar to Werner syndrome.
This particular disease in the movie ages Jack Powell four times faster than normal children. It is said by his doctor that he will have the appearance of a 40 year old man when he is 10 years old.

Jack becomes liked and respected by everyone who knows him by the end of the film for what he has overcome and the film goes through Jack's whole life and how he decides to take action against things and how some things make him the happiest boy there can be. We see Jack's attempts to be normal in school, when he deals with his first crush and heart attack, and relationship with his teacher.

That Thing You Do

That Thing You Do! is a 1996 film, written and directed by Tom Hanks. Set in the mid-1960s, the movie tells the story of a one-hit wonder rock band from Erie, Pennsylvania. The film shows the rise of the band to near fame on the heels of the British Invasion in the mid 1960s, from local clubs and dances, to a major national tour and a record contract. The band is originally called The Oneders (pronounced "wonders", a sort of portmanteau fusing "one" and "wonder").

The Terminal

The Terminal (2004) is a movie about a man trapped in the JFK International Airport Terminal when he is denied entry into the United States and at the same time cannot return to his native country due to a revolution.

Viktor Navorski (Tom Hanks), a man from the fictional country of Krakozhia arrives at New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport, only to discover that during the flight his country's government has been overthrown by rebels, invalidating his passport and thus leaving him stranded. Over the next nine months, Viktor is forced to live in the terminal building, unable either to set foot into the United States or to go home. He befriends the staff at the terminal, including airline stewardess Amelia Warren (Catherine Zeta-Jones), whilst being under the watchful eye of Immigration Officer Frank Dixon (Stanley Tucci), who wants the "Navorski problem" removed from the airport.

Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump is an Academy Award winning 1994 film based on a novel by Winston Groom that was written in 1986, and the name of the title character of both. The film was a huge commercial success, earning USD$677 million worldwide during its theatrical run (the top grossing film in North America released that year). The film garnered a total of 13 Academy Award nominations, of which it won six, including Best Picture, Best Visual Effects, Best Director (Robert Zemeckis), and Best Actor (Tom Hanks).

The film tells the story of a simple man (or gump) and his epic journey through life, meeting historical figures, influencing popular culture and experiencing first-hand historic events while largely unaware of their significance, due to his lower than average intelligence. The film differs substantially from the book on which it was based.

The Pianist

The Pianist is a 2002 film directed by Roman Polanski and starring Adrien Brody. It is an adaptation of the autobiography of the same name by Jewish-Polish musician Władysław Szpilman. In addition to the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, the film won the Oscars for Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Władysław Szpilman is a famous Polish Jewish pianist working for Warsaw radio, and sees his whole world collapse with the outbreak of World War II and the Invasion of Poland in September, 1939. After the radio station at which he was working is rocked by explosions, Szpilman goes home and learns that Great Britain and France have declared war on Germany. Believing the war will end quickly, he and his family rejoice at this news...... never did they expect the war to last for more than 6 years..... Based on a true story

Master and Commander: The Far Side of The World

Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World is a 2003 film directed by Peter Weir and starring Russell Crowe as Jack Aubrey, with Paul Bettany as Stephen Maturin. It is adapted from three novels in the Aubrey–Maturin series by Patrick O'Brian. Captain Jack Aubrey follows a French frigate into the Pacific Ocean in a chase that leads to a bloody climax. A subplot involves his friend Stephen Maturin's desire to explore the Galapagos to examine its fauna and flora; the hunt of Acheron repeatedly frustrates this desire in spite of Aubrey's intentions. This leads to tension between the two friends as Maturin accuses Jack (who has, it appears, far exceeded his original commission) of needlessly pursuing the Acheron in order to satisfy his own pride.

The Lord of The Rings Trilogy

The Lord of the Rings film trilogy comprises three live action fantasy epic films; The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003). For simplicity, the titles are often abbreviated to 'LotR', with 'FotR', 'TTT' and 'RotK' for each of the respective films.

Set in Middle-earth, the three films follow the young Hobbit Frodo Baggins as he and a Fellowship embark on a quest to destroy the One Ring, and with it, ensure the destruction of the Dark Lord Sauron. The Fellowship breaks and Frodo continues his quest with loyal Sam and the treacherous Gollum. The heir in exile to the throne of Gondor, Aragorn, and the Wizard Gandalf must also unite the Free Peoples of Middle-earth in the War of the Ring, as Sauron rises once more to reclaim his prize with the Wizard Saruman.

Cast Away
Cast Away is a 2000 film by 20th Century Fox and DreamWorks about a FedEx employee who is stranded on a deserted island after his plane goes down over the South Pacific. It is unusual in modern cinema in that during most of the movie there is only one character (with the noted exception of Wilson the volleyball). Tom Hanks would go on to be nominated for Best Actor at the Academy Awards for his performance.

Apollo 13

Apollo 13 is a 1995 film portrayal of the ill-fated Apollo 13 lunar mission. The movie was adapted by William Broyles Jr. and Al Reinert from the book Lost Moon by Jim Lovell and Jeffrey Kluger. It was directed by Ron Howard.

Apollo 13 was the third manned lunar-landing mission, part of Project Apollo under NASA in the United States. The crew members were James A. Lovell Commander, John L. "Jack" Swigert Command Module pilot, and Fred W. Haise Lunar Module pilot. The original Command Module pilot for this mission was Thomas "Ken" Mattingly but due to exposure to German measles he was replaced by his backup, Command Module pilot John L. Swigert. It launched on April 11, 1970. Two days after the launch, the Apollo spacecraft was crippled by an explosion, caused by a fault in the oxygen tank. The explosion damaged the Service Module, resulting in a loss of oxygen and electrical power. The crew used the Lunar Module as a “lifeboat” in space. The command module systems remained functional, but were deactivated to preserve the vehicle's capability to reenter Earth’s atmosphere. Despite severe constraints on power, cabin heat, and potable water, the crew endured great hardship and successfully returned to Earth.

Guess who's my favorite actor... haha
