Spent a great deal of time thinking where to go educationally after NS... my grades are rather pathetic.. GPA early 3.0 nia.. defintely worth a shot @ the local public uni... but well... i can say the chances are.. down there hahax...
thought of doing distance learning with MDIS/SIM... sure i can get into these private providers... but 1 would doubt the effectiveness of such degree... ya i knw the exam taken here is the same as over @ the parent uni.. but place urself in an employer's shoe... assuming all otehr factors equal, would you choose a graduate from NUS? or a graduate from SIM-UOL? okok.. UOL is much more famous den NUS.. but the mentality of on & off campus still affect alot of us.. relatives friends employers alike.
5 yrs down the road, neighbour and relatives will bombard you the next best qns beside "When u getting married?", is "where u study now huh?"
if u can ans with glam the 3 local uni, good for u.. if u say u r studying @ University of London, yet they see you locally every few mths or everyday sure let the cat out of the bloody gumpy bag hahax... and sure those goddamn fucking relative will see suay u when u say u r studying a degree locally, but not from the big 3...
so i have decided to... GO ABROAD!
yup yup! was toying with the idea a yr back, but decide not to cox for nostalgic reason... perhaps was immature then, mayb love s'pore too much.. or my frenx and family..
but now i sort of... i dunno how to describe.. mayb it's time to get adventurous, afterall, after u get marry and have kids, i dun reckon u have alot of chance to stay overseas (beside job stint)

ah huh! and so with the fucking mentality of "i m paying fucking good money overseas, might as well get to the better school"... i draft email to local representatives of 4 universities i had in mind. All 4 are group of 8 (a consortium of the top 8 OZ uni)
I sent my O levels results and Polytechnic result up till now to them.......
University of Sydney gave me a sterotype answer (weblink included)
University of Melborne gave me a sterotype answer too (I start to wonder is this the norm?)
University of Monash.. well.. i didn't email them.. cox is a backup choice hehehehe
ah huh.. finally UNIVERSITY OF QUEENSLAND's local representative gave me something i want to hear.. and something personal...
