6 months in Melbourne

Hi blog! I've been in Melb for exactly 6 months today! Amazing huh? 2009 will definitely be a memorable year for me. School-wise, it's the 4th week of the 2nd sem alr! Is that like uber fast or what :S Feeling the stress already! Mid-sems are like in 2 weeks! Time really flies man! Anyways i did really badly last sem (not gonna reveal my grades here), so i gotta work harder this sem! :/

When i was back from Sg, i went skiing with jason and his dad, bro, bro's fren and sis at Mt. Buller! Me, jason and jocey attended the beginners' lesson cos it was our first time, and i think it's really hard to master! Unlike skating! It really hurts the knees and i had several blue-blacks after the trip haha. We saw fresh snowfall though! Nice :) The first time i saw snow was when i was in Manchester :) And i went skiing again at Mt. Baw Baw with a bunch of peeps jason/chee san met during the IDP departure briefing! One paper to go!

Hello bloggg! I've exactly one week before i'm back in SG!!! YAY! It's been scary the swine flu thingy going on and all. PRAYING HARD that i'll be all safe when i return :)

Anyways today was my third paper. ONE MORE TO GO! It was crazy the past 2 weeks! I've got 5 days to study the next paper which i haven't started studying! Anyways my exam hall is in Carlton Gardens - this place called the Royal Exhibition Building (REB) which is just beside Melbourne Museum and the IMAX theatre :) It's super grand inside but one thing is that the heaters in there DON'T WORK! For the first paper i was shiveringgg like mad! It was super cold like 8 degrees that morning! And the paper was 3 hrs! And i was sitting at the outermost row nearest to the door which was OPENED throughout! :S

It's okay, lesson learnt, i dressed like an eskimo for the 2nd and 3rd paper! (Today and yesterday) Oh wells, for all 3 papers i didn't have time to really finish the paper! :( And they were all shitty in one way or another. SIGH! Hoping that the last one would be alright.. It MUST be cos it's 80%!!! Today is "slacking" day, gotta go back to studying tmr onwards! CAN'T WAIT TO BE BACKKK HOMEEE :D

Study week! (SWOT-VAC)

Hello my dear blog! Here's a quick update from me! :D

My exams are in 10 days and I haven't started studying! Friday was the last day of school and next week is the study week (it's called SWOT-VAC here but i dunno what it stands for) I have 4 subjects and i counted a total of 88 chapters to study! I'm really glad that we had all the tests, so at least i've studied A BIT.. Didn't do well for half of them anyway :\

Here are my exam dates and the percentages:

11 June - (70%) Molecular Aspects of Cell Biology (Quite easy)

16 June - (30%) Advanced Techniques in Molecular Science (Quite easy too)

17 June - (60%) Frontiers in Cell Biology (Easiest!)

23 June - (80%) Biochemistry in Metabolism and Nutrition (Hardest!)

The 2nd subject is a Practical subject so exam's only worth 30% of the marks.

Anw thank God that the hardest subject is the last! If it was the first paper and if i did really badly, i'd have no mood to study for the other 3 papers! Haha.

Oh yeah, i'm coming back to Singapore from 24th June - 8th July. 2 weeks only! But better than nothing :) Gonna bury my head in my notes now! (Hope i can concentrate and absorb) TA!!!

P.S: Weather's getting colder, next week's gonna be as low as 6 deg with a highest of 18.

havent been bloggin for quite long i realised... pretty busy lately... DOING NOTHING! haha. oh well. just collected my pink IC on tues..

yep after 1 year and 10 months... the dreaded wait is over. been procrastinatin whether to start catchin up on my books but apparently im nowhere near those dust-covered textbooks of mine. i got my australian visa on the day i ORD-ed. how coincidental. oh btw im headed for tioman next month with my best buddies from my bmt. hope to take some realli nice photos while im there.

all im left to do is find a part time job to sustain my spending while im still here. going to grab a laptop during the IT show next month. whooopie. after tat i'll be off to the ski mountains in victoria, australia. AND pls pls let me find a nice and cheap and cosy home in melbourne tat i can crash in with my 15 year gay buddy!

caught a bunch of movies lately... horsemen, x-men, star trek... they've all been pretty good films.. next up would be angels and demons yea..

-off to procrastinate bout studying again! oh yes and please let me find a NICE WALLET to buy sooon!

its been 20 days since ive been back from tw... well i realised i havent really been doin anythin productive cept runnin around singapore. got my hp today. finally decided on the e71 black color. its a new color that nokia came up with recently. quite happy with my acquisition hur hur COS i finally BOUGHT A CAMERA PHONE after 2 years of misery with non-camera phones. thou i couldnt realli make up my mind wat i wanted to buy, but i do like the color! ;) gota scarf from uniqlo (nahh for ahpek to see!) and mother's day gifts today! :)

speakin of which, im goin back to camp to change to the new green clothes... sob. tot i could escape it but no! so unfair haha. oh well.. few more weeks of procrastinating and before i noe... i'll be off to melbourne already sigh
