finally we caught "Dark Knight". forget about The Batman; watch the movie for the Joker! Heath Ledger is extraordinary. simply his best performance; so sick, so sinister that it was disturbing. sucha pity he wldnt be here to collect his Oscar. undoubtly it should go to him. excellent performance. unlike saravanan, i wldnt wanna watch the movie again. maybe just for the Joker.

met san and the mouse on sat for lunch at Muthu's. they absolutely love the food and so do i. the mouse is really cute, she gets so excited over small stuff. what a girl ((: and san is half-indian. actually the mouse is half-indian cause she has an indian name. so our next stop is jaggi's. hopefully..

kindly accompanied kavi to the lakeside siztas' place on sunday morn.

i like aggravating this poor bird. it's name is "baby". i thought it was "rascal". hmm.. okay nvm. it's naughty and rude. and it bites. don't let its appearance fool you.

so after that it was back to kavi's place, where i caught up with uncle and aunty and helped prakash to memorize his thirukural.

west coast for dinner! awesome. hemma you should come over before you get dragged into the relentless education cycle. and there was no satheeshh to finish the roti john. how peaceful.

brother joined us as well.

that's about it. my life. and for the other stuff, you both know what's going on, so i don't hafta say much. catch up soon aights.

movies with honesty

this is random but what's life w/o a little random-ness? here's a conversation between shan and me while we were waiting for the guys to watch .. .. "Get Smart", i think so.

so we were at videoezy and shan was looking for movies to rent.
we chanced upon "Harold and Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay";

me : i heard there's nudity in this film
shan : then i'm getting it!

so anyway, Saravanan, Shan and Sivan (that's me, thank you very much) caught
"Hellboy II : The Golden Army" last evening. it's a great movie, surprising cause the first movie didnt appeal to me. but this, is worth your movie ticket. go catch it. hurry.. like now!

mr saravanan and i missed a couple minutes of the show cause we had to run to the washroom. nature sure picks the wrong time to call. ah wells.

more movies

when i was in secondary school, i hardly caught movies with my friends. there was "coyote ugly" with my sec1/8 friends when i was 13. and then i rmbr watching "Possession", "Three" (waste of my time & money!) with gaya3, shalu & premma. "Star Wars" with Gaya3, Shalu & Suba..

i don't recall anymore. prolly there wasnt any.. yeah so now i'm trying to, hmm.. make use of the deprievation and watch more movies now.

"Thoda Pyar, Thoda Magic" with Hemma ((: it means "A little bit of love, a little bit of magic". i caught it purely for Saif and Rani! i laughed alot, Hemma cried.. haha.. beautiful movie.. we wldnt throw popcorn, right? :p

"Dasavatharam" with mum, Hemma, uncle and aunty. The title means "10 avatars" which basically had Kamal in 10 different roles. He's an excellent actor, gotta give him props. Movie was a little over 3 hours.. and that made it kinda draggy but it was funny, kinda smart and yeah, much as Hemma and i wanted to throw popcorn or the nachos' cheese onto the fella sitting in front of us, we didnt (:

I got smart with Shan, Saran and Kelvin. initially i thought it was gonna be some lame movie with lame jokes but it wasnt. it was really funny and although i'm not a fan of steve carell, he was pretty alright.. anne hathaway, yeah man! haha..

Now this, is a good movie. "Fools Rush In" - Matthew Perry and Salma Hayek. Funny, sweet, it has everything. Matt and Salma look great together.. why isnt Salma working more wonders on the big screen? she's incredible!

"Boys Don't Cry" - the true story of Teena Brandon who was murdered in 1993. Hillary did an exceptional job portraying the character. rather painful to watch, due to violent graphics but a good film nevertheless. of course, it brought home the Oscar for Hillary. and Chloe Sevigny as usual, remarkable. wish the ending wasnt that way.. but it's a true story.. guess we didnt have much of a choice.

"Blood and Chocolate" was another movie that wasted my time. firstly, the movie has damn bad lighting! i watch Mani Ratnam's movies and the lighting was poorer than that. i mean MR's films are sort of realistically taken, so to speak; in their natural setting. but this movie, boy, half the time was spent figuring out what the hell was happening. So why the title "Blood" and "Chocolate"? She's a werewolf and in the day she works in a chocolate store!

she's got me!

i have never been a fan of angelina jolie. never liked her movies, didnt like that brad pitt ditched jennifer aniston and went after her, just thought there's something not quite right about her. fine, she's a Goodwill Ambassador, went to countries to help out.. okay okay she has a big heart.

and then i watch "Wanted" which has a crappy storyline and is only worth watching for Angelina Jolie. just ask saravanan, he'd echo my sentiments. and yea, wow.. she is.. wow! cool as a popsicle. i think it's her eyes. she has expressive eyes, like aishwarya rai. did i say she's cool in that movie? she's fucking cool!

so yeah, i'm a fan now. jolie's got me with "Wanted". not her best movie, but she crazy insane there.

oh.. morgan freeman's an excellent actor. i just gotta say that. haha..

got a bit bored with all that writing.. not that i'm doing much anyway. still, wldnt your poor eyes suffer skimming the words? here's picture for you then. she's my cousin; everyone, say hi... good. so now you know.. oh yeah! this is the "freddy kreuger" shirt that huishan had mentioned. haha.. complete with a fedora hat and i'll really resemble that slasher.. tsktsk..

anyway, i had a great dream early this morning. it was SO REAL. wth. just as i thought i would get further into the dream, MY MUM WOKE ME UP!!!! arghhhhhhh!

i don't think i can fall asleep and continue from where i've left off.
sheesh.

don't we all have some darkness in us? some cynicism, negativity, pessimism.

this sounds so ... philosophical. and i said i was trying to cut it down.

a meet-up with the clowns and we were joined by a new clown (: haha..
shalu's amazing. she had dinner at home and still she finished her food during dinner with us. healthy appetite .. which is rather influenced by gayathri.

so as usual gayathri nair wanted the bean bag seat at tcc. she's so obsessed with it. that's it, we're getting it for her birthday.

we always want what we cannot have ..
