the young ones (me included!)

weekends was spent with the kids! the twins, sath, prakie, murali, kavi (ok lah, u're also young!) and kums (not so young) oh uncle and aunty too! we took the kids to bowl. exlusive of prakie sath uncle n aunt. it was sucha ball of a time.. hillarious and priceless.. after countless attempts of teaching them how to bowl, we gave up and let them bowl to their preferences and styles ... GUTTER BALL!!! :p

the twins gotta be the funniest. esp suthev cause he had problems carrying and rolling the heavy ball. thats subash in the picture. erm, so focused.. haha.. as expected, one of them (murali) actually dropped the ball before he bowled. haha.. and KAVITHA DROPPED A BALL ON HER FOOT! SOTONG!! muahaha.

kums declared that he quit (he didnt lah) cause he was gutter ball-ing too. but his bowling isnt too bad.. let's not bruise his ego. haha.. he badly wanted to team with me. but kavi rushed to enter the team names. what can i say? i'm very much wanted!

the man utd supporters! prakie and me. oh, after bowling, we wenta west coast park to play.. ended up soccering. it was man utd vs liverpool, made up of the supporters though. suthev is a traitor! he has changed his loyalty to liverpool... blah!! well, i guess man u lost, coz murali cldnt spot the goal post made of slippers and i scored an own goal ): i was really trying to clear the ball lah! haha.. but i scored one lah.. ohh, match highlight was that satheesh shd have been red-carded coz he claimed i cheated. i only tackled him and hit him accidentally.. well divya shd know what i mean.. that led to sath claiming that "all girls are cheaters".. tsktsk.. and he's only 9. haha.. walked back hm, washed up and it was pizza for dinner, while watching man u vs bolton! woo hoo it was 4-1 :) what a weekend..

a 'lil bit of soul in seoul

our much-awaited sakura session turned out to be a seoul garden session due to the fact that the sakura outlet in orchard was STILL in da process of becoming a halal certified diner. since we are sensitive to the needs of our friends, we (benny leon and i) sat at youth park and brainstormed with a better place. anyway, we went to play pool first to kill some time. coincidentally saw terry lee teck lum there, who said that he cldnt join us. he was with his soccer makkals, which doesnt include us you see. haha.. pool was bad, okay i was bad.

the 3 of us wenta SG (seoul garden).. was awaiting firhan, imran and razinah.. bad luck, fir cldnt make it cause he was still stuck at work ): many thanks to im n razinah for turning up. benny was the nicest, cause he cooked the food for me. only shan, san, cyn, mabel and maryann wld know my ill-fortune at SG; i don't like to cook at SG, thank u. okay lah.. food was okay, company's great and quoting leon "you paid $26 to eat pau?" haha..

i told imran to smile. this was all he could come up with.

well ya, thats how it went on friday. leon has officially given up on organizing class gatherings. but leon, (u meanie, purposely visited my blog using da computer at topshop!) we still gotta go sakura okays! perhaps the one at downtown east! :)) wheee!

boredom led me to window shopping at man utd's online store.. they have some new items such as the shirt i found below.. simple and nice, even leon and karthik said it is.. whee.. i wonder if its available in the man utd shop in singapore. anyways, its US$21.. not too bad huh.. haha.. i feel like criz!! :) speakin of which, i miss her online shoppin during all ALL lab sessions.. hahaha.. and her excitement when she finds something she likes. muahhaa.. எனக்கு வேண்டும்!! which means, "i want!!" haha.. karthik just told me the man utd shop has closed down alr.. dupid of the bloodyfull nonsense.. how could they?!

manchester united away jersey! one day i will get the jersey.. either the home or the away. not the 3rd kit, the blue jersey. not that appealing to me..

speaking of man utd, there's been rumours that christiano ronaldo will be leading for real madrid or he will be happy staying at man u. many players and coaches/managers consider c.ronaldo one of the greatest player to grace the soccer pitch in recent times. ronaldo can be a selfish player at times, fine, most times. look at his runs from the half field and though he has the option to pass to an unmarked player, ronaldo chooses to shoot at goal.. and misses most times. on the other hand, it was his determination that gives man u 3 points to take home. so well, we can't really complain abt that yeah.

if ronaldo moves to madrid, he could be a star in the first team. or else, he could be like david beckham or owen and even players like ronaldo (gone to ac milan) who do not get the opportunity to play a full game just because the team is flooded with prolly some best players in the world. they have raul, torres (aint doing much now though), cannavaro (nth fancy either), roberto carlos (rmbr his fluke during the uefa match against bayern munich?), van nistelrooy (one of the better players now), sergio ramos, casillas (not so constant), reyes (shd have nv left arsenal).. with such good players, how can c.ronaldo be assured of a place in the first team?
anyway, at least he isnt an english player. how many english players succeeded at real madrid? not steve mcmanaman, not jonathan woodgate, not david beckham, not michael owen, anyone else i missed? if ronaldo wants to play football, the best place would be at old trafford, with man utd :)

a review .. well almost!

Paris Je T'aime, Paris, I love You. Movie's part of the Cannes Film Festival. Excellent i would say. Well i did have an excellent companion too. The film, was prolly something you wldnt come across any day, would you? If you had watched the movie "Three", you know the one with 3 horror stories, the japanese, the thai and the chinese, you would say its something like that. However Paris Je T'aime has 18 short films and the fusion of blending in all 18 of it operates smoothly.

here's one story which involves a french fella and a young muslim french woman.
i wouldnt wanna spoil the story for y'all, each short clip has its own beauty and meaning behind it.

a mother's love.. everyone go "awww" now.. some of the stories were really touching and sad but unfortunately i had to sit beside this dumb young uncle fella with a pony tail who kept laughing (loudly!) even through the sad clips.. irritating! why did this fella want to watch this movie in da first place, since he can't distinguish between the happy and the sad? blah..

okay, i've calmed down. hmm, another interesting story.. a funny one rather. eileen was asking me which guy looked better.. i said the one with the long hair.. but i think he shd comb his hair..

natalie portman! this was one sweet story.. whee.. she falls in love with a visually-impaired person, who is rather normal, the way he runs through the streets :)

even old couples fall in love ..... with people who are much younger than them ..

mm, after days of absence from the blogging scene, i'm pretty much back, well i was never gone. anyways, its another picture-post again.. first few are from terry's chalet.. post-chalet photos. haha.. our preparations and stuff.. we met on that thursday morning and were talking at prata house cause it was raining.. bad weather..

WE HAVE REACHED! haha.. taken after we reached aloha loyang.. just outside our chalet. it was raining, so pls excuse all those windbreakers and ponchos.

ah yes, watching man utd vs liverpool on march 3rd, with benny and kaizhuan at simpang bedok. i think there were more liverpool supporters (the older ones).. luckily, we were sitting ard the man utd supporters, but there was a middle-aged liverpool fan beside us. the cool one lah, unlike the screaming young ones. haha.. thats benny in da picture.. thanks to him, we moved up front and got better seats, which was just after this photo.

my fellow manchester united fan!! :)) kaizhuan! it was real fun watching da match with both kai and benny cause they did a great job of analysing the match, the formation, strategy, substitutions.. very enjoyable. needless to say, we won 1-nil courtesy of a 91st minute goal by john o'shea, the unexpected scorer!

mm, february 12, a day before clare's bday. we surprised her with a birthday cake. haha.. and these are the wonderful people who joined us in da celebrations.. along with mr damien lee. that was fun, not forgetting getting introduced to eileen's ability to eat paper.. muahaha!! okok, we didnt know the cake's top layer was covered with a paper-like material.. well, if leen ate it, then i guess its edible :)

terry, laughter's aplenty and a mad class gathering!

As promised to chen minyi, here is a picture story abt "Terry, Laughter's Aplenty & A Mad Class Gathering" ... =)

Once upon a time, there was a sport & wellness class called SW0401. there were many entities in that class; the nice, the gila, the friendly, the clowns, the sane (very few!) and the lame ones. so one of the gila fella's birthday, mind you it was his 21st bday, was fast approaching. he made a wise move and booked a chalet, celebrating his bday as well as the end of the class' 3 years in poly.

here terry da gila (left) stands with jinghui; the fierce protector of all things evil! :) muahaha.. this was after he had cut his bday cake. just look at the happiness on his face. awww...

you can see the narrator, which is me of course, standing in a group of mad people, take a look at hafid at da back, who just loves to gatecrash our photo sessions. but we love him all da same. and there's darling crizzie boo, annie da silly, eileen da lovely, yuana-infectious-laughter and anna banana.. in da midst of it all, there's sivan; cool calm collected ... NOT!

ah, here is the narrator with one of her favourite person from nyp.. vanisha dass. vanisha's a real nice darling. it shows, from the cake she bought for terry and the words on da cake. ha.. vanisha, you could love her, no actually you should, simply because she's a person you can talk abt anything to. whee.. now that we've established the relationship between the narrator and vanisha, let's move on okay?

another establishment of a new club; the ice cream lovers. members include anna, eileen, kai and the narrator. our board of governors is made up only of terry, who bought the ice cream? was it him? okay, the narrator forgot to get that crucial detail. thousand apologies.

it was the morning after the mad celebrations.. here is a group of sleep-deprieved people, still looking cheerful except for jinghui and fid.. well, too much fun eventually drains you out. but they were still doing pretty good.

oh, here is another group of people who induce laugher. you can see jinghui, leon, zul, imran, razinah, criz and firhan. the faithful barbeque-rs. imran has a slight confusion, he thinks he belongs to the X-Men.. he loves cyclops you see. that explains the "x" sign with the barbeque tongs.
the chalet even had luxurious gold class seats. the movie of the night: Dream Girls. our lucky patrons; criz (extreme left), maddie, carolyn, vanisha and leon (u can only see his legs!). they were shortly joined by the narrator and eileen. the narrator sings well too. okay, the rest disagree.

another loyal group of barbeque-rs; terry uzzy qiu miao and maddie. narrator is happy to say that she did no form of bbq-ing that night. except to help zul turn over the otak. :)

the mad mahjong-ers. the could play all night and all morning. narrator understands nothing abt the game, and is waiting for someone to teach her.

the gold class cinema watchers. maddie was engrossed with the movie that she could not even pose for a photo ):
